Praying, hoping their power will be restored quickly. I watched the landfall last night (via news and from afar, obviously), looked like they’d be waking up to some serious damage this morning.
In about five hours, we will have four grandchildren here between the ages of four and seven. Great grandpa is struggling with a downturn. Helping the children remain calm and quiet indoors is a must. Thanks.
Mumsee, you are amazing in holding all those things in place with God’s help! Praying for His strength and wisdom and peace to overcome all obstacles in your midst.
Prayers for all those here who have such great losses because they have no flood insurance. Prayers for families who have lost loved ones.
I am thanking the Lord that my new kitchen countertops and sink was put in today. I still have a stove hood that needs to be wired in. It was put in long ago, but I couldn’t use it. I would have had the handyman put the old one back in, if I had known. I always use the fan and often need the light. Electrician is supposed to come on Tuesday. This has been an over two-year project. I needed to replace the sink and faucet, and the project expanded. The first guy that committed to do it backed out. The second guy was recommended by him. I will be so grateful to not have to think about this anymore.
Of course, there is the deck that is deteriorating. I was hoping to be able to have this handyman do that, but don’t think that will be wise now. Everyone is looking for those who can do these jobs. Like it or not, houses need to be kept up. Hopefully, I will hear of someone who can do the deck etc. that needs to be done.
Thank you for asking, AJ. Still using Tylenol for pain in the foot, but not as much, and the doctor said it’s healing fine when I had a post-op visit this week. I worked half-days and 3/4 days this week.
Janice is fine but they are without power or WiFi. Continued prayers.
