Here’s the truth. Mayorkas illegally paroled Laken Riley’s killer into the US. He had a criminal record. He then committed a crime against a child in New York. No prosecution. In fact, HE GOT A WORK PERMIT. And then he killed Laken. Mayorkas knew *all* this. He lied about it pic.twitter.com/hA6qXhI1JO
Tremendous interrogation by Senator Hawley exposing the malice and evil of the Mayorkas mass release policy — a policy endorsed repeatedly by every Senate Democrat. https://t.co/tC8U5Xs1W1

I have seen that word thrown around social media too much over the years, including when people were merely mistaken or wrong, but not overtly lying.

Re: the 5:37 post – It seems that there was more that she had to say, but the video cut off quickly). As such, that clip does not prove that the woman was lying. The question was why she thinks she could be unbiased, and what she says seems to be the beginning, without getting to her answer.
Merely saying that she does not like Trump or agree with his past choices does not necessarily mean that she could not be fair with whatever is presented in court.
You know that I do not like Trump, but if I were on the jury, I would take the evidence as presented.
I hope and pray my above post did not come off as preachy or accusatory. Perhaps they did and I apologize.
I’ve loved politics ever since I was a teen-ager, including all the rough-and-tumble aspects of it.
As a believer I’ve had to question my self, though, on what comes first? My political argument or my deeper commitment as a follower of Christ (rather than as a follower of one party or candidate or another), as imperfect as that walk is.
So the verses above totally apply to me and my stumbles that occur all too often. Those verses bring me up short, always (this one is doing so again now). But it’s important for me to remind myself and re-read those verses that make me cringe and go “ouch.”
I may have seen that dismissed juror interviewed on CNN, or it was someone who looked like her. She talked a lot 🙂 and the host was trying to move along as a commercial break was coming up.
Do “most” politicians lie. Interesting statement and I can’t know the answer to that. If I believed that were so I’d probably give up following or caring much about politics lol
Turns out my suspicion was correct. The video was cut off before she went on to acknowledge that we all have prior opinions, but to her, the right to a fair trial is more important than her own prior opinions. But keeping that part in wouldn’t have worked so well to keep the current level of outrage stirred up.
She was excused due to not being able to take time off from her job.
The video was definitely cut that way to give a false idea of what she said. I have seen so many of those kinds of truncated and/or deceptively edited videos. It is done on purpose. (Not to say that D’Souza did that himself, but at the very least, if he shared it from elsewhere, he did not do any further investigation into it. And that, too, is a shame.)
Compromised, and weak.

It’s beyond pathetic.”

The lawfare and debanking for lawyers who dare represent Trump continues. This is about as un-American as it gets.

Congress. It’s the back-and-forth process of governing and the trade-offs required; it’s messy.

I have not given up on Speaker Johnson. Still praying for him as well. Though probably not enough considering the target on him from both sides.

It will be interesting to see how the (now deeply divided) party fares in the upcoming elections.

Yes dj, because expecting a professing Christian to keep his word is so amusing. Or is it the part that he’s lied repeatedly that’s amusing?

Matt. 7:1-5:
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

That’s good dj.
I don’t mind being judged by truthfulness and lies told. But then I don’t lie for a living like most politicians, Johnson included.

And when politicians make public declarations, and lie publicly, they can expect the public to judge them accordingly. Bit you knew that.
