AJ saw the Dr today. He is quite pleased. Everything’s going as they’d hoped. Next surgery will be the 30th, and then hopefully only one more needed to reverse the colostomy in a month ot two. That’s the one I’m most looking forward to.
As you can see, insomnia has reared its ugly head again. Not much going on at 2 am, even the cats are sleeping….
Aj that is good news to read on this gathering of non sleepers!! I have been awake since around 2 as well. Continuing to cover you in prayer as the next surgery approaches….❣️
Now I feel like a sleepyhead. :) Good morning everyone. It’s wonderful to hear the good news—even if you guys are not sleeping.
I’m sitting outside with rain clouds gathering overhead. It’s very pleasant but I’ll probably have to bolt indoors at any moment. And I’m not bolting very fast these days. I tripped at work and fell backwards on my tailbone about 10 days ago, so I’m moving at a more moderate pace for the next couple of weeks. Sitting on the ice pack is no fun but at least nothing’s broken and I don’t have to miss work. :–)
My dad was up most of the night. I heard him shaving around eleven. He polished off the glass of pediolyte and three cookies I leave out for him. Husband was up from about two and saw that he was busy reading his book for three more hours. I slept intermittently and fairly well.
I woke up around 3 to empty the bladder, then couldn’t get back to sleep until 4:30 or so. Finally woke up around 8:15, later than normal. But I’m off today, so no big rush.
Good to hear that report, AJ. Hang in there, you’re getting there.
Debra, ouch. That sounded painful.
My sciatica is much better this morning; it’s something I occasionally get but it tends to leave within just a few days. I have a cousin who’s been dealing with it for a several months off and on but this is the one who was hit by a car in a crosswalk several years ago so it’s likely part of the ongoing challenges he was left with.
I was up very late, had to cover a nighttime city council meeting (virtually, thankfully) to fill in for another reporter who’s out sick. I’d forgotten how horrible long, nighttime city council meetings are: a housing issue that drew 43 speakers and discussion on landslide issues (which is what I was asked to write about) pushed the meeting to go until 11:30 p.m. And now to write the stories before another night meeting tonight, a landslide town hall that’s expected to go for 3 hours (at least).
Sleep issues? The house was too hot since it got up to 86° yesterday (outside). I did not sleep well until the cooler hours and did not want to awaken at 7:30. Art offrred to take me to Kroger, but I said I was too asleep and had not made a list. Best not make a list when one is groggy.
Here is something from financial helper, Clark Howard. It involves checking to be sure your appointment is in network with insurance because it can change any time, not just annually like in times past.
I don’t get out very often to events, obviously. I am going to attend an event that asks for people to dress Smart Casual. I thought it was just another way of saying Business Casual and told someone I did not expect to see many jeand there. Then I looked ig up and found this:
Good morning. I completed my work run and now have work at home. We are receiving the dumpster today to complete cleanup from our barn fire.
my garden is coming to life. The strawberries are awakening, rhubarb growing, raspberries popping out of the ground every where. My peach tree and honeyberries are in full bloom. I see green leaves poking out of the ends of the apple trees, so blooms won’t be far behind. Time to start watering and see if I can get the asparagus to wake up.
Glad to hear the good report NJ.
Praying dj, sciatica is no fun.

I may have been asleep at 2. Can’t say the same about the rest of the night.
listening to audiobooks and praying.
6 am here, and I’m up for the day.
Headed south to a conference this weekend, then a swing through SoCal to catch upon some relatives.
Trying to get the driving in while we can still afford gas. $5.50/ gallon in NorCal. 😦

This morning:
Bible
breakfast for family
dad’s laundry
shot thirty four arrows
flew the drone
listened to son read
chip shots from the deck
Though my life has some drama, it really isn’t my drama so my life is wonderful! Very grateful to our Father for this season.
