I have seen that word thrown around social media too much over the years, including when people were merely mistaken or wrong, but not overtly lying.
When my grandson was young, he often would think that someone had lied if plans changed or the person was mistaken. It took a while to teach him the difference.

Re: the 5:37 post – It seems that there was more that she had to say, but the video cut off quickly). As such, that clip does not prove that the woman was lying. The question was why she thinks she could be unbiased, and what she says seems to be the beginning, without getting to her answer.
Merely saying that she does not like Trump or agree with his past choices does not necessarily mean that she could not be fair with whatever is presented in court.
You know that I do not like Trump, but if I were on the jury, I would take the evidence as presented.
I hope and pray my above post did not come off as preachy or accusatory. Perhaps they did and I apologize.
I’ve loved politics ever since I was a teen-ager, including all the rough-and-tumble aspects of it.
As a believer I’ve had to question my self, though, on what comes first? My political argument or my deeper commitment as a follower of Christ (rather than as a follower of one party or candidate or another), as imperfect as that walk is.
So the verses above totally apply to me and my stumbles that occur all too often. Those verses bring me up short, always (this one is doing so again now). But it’s important for me to remind myself and re-read those verses that make me cringe and go “ouch.”
I may have seen that dismissed juror interviewed on CNN, or it was someone who looked like her. She talked a lot 🙂 and the host was trying to move along as a commercial break was coming up.
Do “most” politicians lie. Interesting statement and I can’t know the answer to that. If I believed that were so I’d probably give up following or caring much about politics lol
Turns out my suspicion was correct. The video was cut off before she went on to acknowledge that we all have prior opinions, but to her, the right to a fair trial is more important than her own prior opinions. But keeping that part in wouldn’t have worked so well to keep the current level of outrage stirred up.
She was excused due to not being able to take time off from her job.
The video was definitely cut that way to give a false idea of what she said. I have seen so many of those kinds of truncated and/or deceptively edited videos. It is done on purpose. (Not to say that D’Souza did that himself, but at the very least, if he shared it from elsewhere, he did not do any further investigation into it. And that, too, is a shame.)
