It’s a beautiful spring day here. We are so blessed to have such a lovely array of flowers in bloom for Easter. God is going all out this year with His displays.
i need to pull out the old mower and see if it will crank. I will be cranky if it doesn’t!
Sunshine! Such a blessing when you don’t have it all the time.
I love dark chocolate, too. (continuing from yesterday’s thread) My mom would buy the huge bag of Hershey’s and always save those for me. Apparently, no one else ate them. I sure missed those, and the wonderful apples my dad would send our way, when they passed away. Not that I couldn’t buy those, but it is the thought that counts.
Good morning all. Another beautiful day here as well. I, too, must dust off the mower but it will need to wait for the rain and snow to stop for a day or two.
Thanks, Janice, I thought of that, but it isn’t “news” as much as it is the current we are swimming in, and anyway a lot of people avoid the news thread.
I had a chance to go to Whole Foods for the first time. It’s been here for years, bu t I never had a need before. I wanted to getsome of the new Pacha bread I saw an ad for on Facebook. You can get it delivered or buy at Whole Foods. It is a very small frozen and sluced loaf. I got the plain version. It is made of sprouted buckwheat. I have to use a sharp knife to dislodge the frozen slices to put in the toaster. I did not like it very much to start with but am liking it now and want my two small slices as a daily snack. It is small but dense.
Good white chocolate has its own good flavor. I used to buy it with almonds for my mom. One of the places I worked at sold it. As with all chocolate, quality matters. Also, white chocolate tends to spoil faster. White chocolate covered cranberries are good. It is also good with peppermint and dark chocolate swirled.
We are off to our daughter’s for the holiday weekend. We were just all together and thought of cancelling, but our great granddaughter is supposed to be coming with her parents. Hopefully, they really will be there.
I hope you all have a blessed and wonderful Easter.
I found this hymn which is appropriate for today. (Slashes indicate new lines. This new format does not allow single spacing between paragraphs.)
Jesus was Slain for Me (tune: Summer Land (Fithian)
Jesus was slain for me, At Calvary. / Crowned with thorns was He, at Calvary. / There He in anguish died, / There from His opened side, / Poured forth the crimson tide, At Calvary.
Pardoned is all my sin. At Calvary. / Cleansed is my heart within, / At Calvary. / Now robes of praise I wear, / Gone are my grief and care, / Christ bore my burdens there. At Calvary.
Wondrous His love for me, At Calvary. / Glorious His victory, At Calvary. / Vanquished are death and hell, / Oh, let His praises swell, / Ever my tongue shall tell, At Calvary.

Cheryl, I want to read the article later. I think it might be better to put it on the political/news thread.

Except white chocolate.
That’s nasty, and there’s no chocolate in it anyway.

Agreed about white “chocolate”.

I remember having white chocolate once and thinking I must need to pretend it tastes like chocolate because I didn’t taste any.
