The older I get the more I find to be grateful for. How incredibly blessed we all are to have a God who loves and cares for everyone who would come to him! He gives rain to both believers and unbelievers. He blesses us before we even know what to ask for.
Yesterday, during the Thanksgiving service, I was able to see our great granddaughter and to hold her after. I whispered the same blessing in her ear that I have for all my grands. What a blessing!
My quiet hassle free Thanksgiving is morphing. Twenty two pleaded for an invite so she is in for one hour. Son in law and son will go pick her up and return her one hour later. Unless she acts out in which case she can leave early.
Other twenty two and his girlfriend are also coming over. The others, I believe, are all over with their bio dad in Seattle with the grandchildren.
~ “it is the Duty of all Nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty GOD, to obey his Will, to be grateful for his Benefits…” We owe God “our sincere and humble Thanks for…the favourable Interpositions of his Providence.” #GeorgeWashington, #ThanksgivingProclamation, 1789 ~
Roofers may be coming by today, they’re working on a house close by; but no rain in our forecast so we have some breathing room.
Since the leaks spots showing up in my sealing are adjacent to where the chimney is outside, I’m thinking possibly a flashing issue? But roofer is very good, he’ll (hopefully) get it figured out and diagnosed -dj
As I mentioned in prayer with my Bible study group, I am extra grateful for God’s Word because without it I would have never known all my Chtistian friends including y’all.♡
I marveled at Cracker Barrel at how well my brother looked, that Art survived that awful kidney surgery last year, and that I am doing okay after all I have been through healthwise.
A little late to the party, but . . . Happy Thanksgiving, Fellow Wanderers!
I am grateful for my salvation through Jesus Christ, for my family, for my church family, for my home, and for so much more!
We will be having our Thanksgiving tomorrow. Chickadee will be spending the night tonight, arriving late from the McK family Thanksgiving at a relative’s house in Massachusetts. Tomorrow she will be in charge of the mashed potatoes, and she will be making a pumpkin cheesecake. Nightingale will be doing the rest, but keeping it simple this year. (And we’ll be having ham instead of turkey.)
Yesterday, the movie “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” was mentioned. Maybe I should be embarrassed to admit this, but Hubby and I loved that movie. The ending (for the person who commented never making it all the way through) was quite touching.
Happy Thanksgiving fellow Wanderers! I’m thankful for all of you, and for friends, family and church.–and for having a stable job that I am able to do. God is so good. He provides, sustains and saves us day by day.
I walked Abby after she gave me her “What about Abby?” (aka What About Bob another film I liked) look. I haven’t been feeling great for a couple days, so it was a shorter-than-usual walk but it was *something.*
And it feels like tomorrow should be Sunday, having a Thursday off is kind of strange.

Thankful for health and blessings from above. Mostly for salvation! And that two of our grandchildren were saved this last year.
We went ot watch some of Mrs. L’s relatives run in a turkey trot. It was cold! The temp was mid 30s, but the North wind froze us.

In Seattle, too, with Son3 cooking, girlfriend coming with pie and two more old friends to visit tomorrow before heading home.
I’m thankful for much starting with God/Jesus/Holy Spirit, friends, family, church, you all, health, resources, and so much joy.
It’s been quite a full year—but all so rich with people, experiences, and the love of such a Savior!
Thanks be to God, indeed!

And yes, I know it’s terrible that I love it. 🙂
But Danny DeVito and Billy Crystal are hysterical.
