Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 86
A prayer of David.
1 Hear me, Lord, and answer me,
for I am poor and needy.
2 Guard my life, for I am faithful to you;
save your servant who trusts in you.
You are my God; 3 have mercy on me, Lord,
for I call to you all day long.
4 Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust in you.
5 You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
6 Hear my prayer, Lord;
listen to my cry for mercy.
7 When I am in distress, I call to you,
because you answer me.
8 Among the gods there is none like you, Lord;
no deeds can compare with yours.
9 All the nations you have made
will come and worship before you, Lord;
they will bring glory to your name.
10 For you are great and do marvelous deeds;
you alone are God.
11 Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
I will glorify your name forever.
13 For great is your love toward me;
you have delivered me from the depths,
from the realm of the dead.
14 Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God;
ruthless people are trying to kill me—
they have no regard for you.
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
16 Turn to me and have mercy on me;
show your strength in behalf of your servant;
save me, because I serve you
just as my mother did.
17 Give me a sign of your goodness,
that my enemies may see it and be put to shame,
for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.
Update from my sister this morning (see yesterday’s prayer thread):
“Our friend Teena just posted that they are safely out of Israel and out of harms way, but didn’t disclose where they are currently! Thank you for your prayers!”
And I add my thanks to all of you friends who are praying. ~6

6, so good to hear.
Much to pray about in the world right now, clearly. Sobering times. -dj

Prayers also for our nation and our leaders, that they can set aside some of the divisive animosity for a season in both actions and discourse remembering (and accepting) that our God ‘has this’ and is always doing something in his time, even through the suffering and violence.
What are we, as believers, supposed to be gleaning and learning through these hard and sad times? Lord, help us. Anger and division come so easily to us.
Prayers, too, that God would choose to bless our own nation, despite our rebellion, by raising up wise, capable and thoughtful leaders in this time and bringing humility to our people. -dj

I could use some prayer today – feeling very nauseated with chills. Couldn’t go to work. Thank you.

Meanwhile, weeping with those who weep, the widespread human losses and devastation and grief for so many people affected by this war already is horrific. Praying for justice and peace both. -dj

Nightingale and Boy need prayer for a serious situation concerning mental and emotional issues with Boy. Mimi Kizzie could use some prayer, too. (And I can’t mention the three of us without also asking prayer for my Chickadee.) Thank you and God bless.

Praying for you and your family, Kizzie.
Glad you’re feeling better, Jo.
Kare and DJ, praying you’ll recover soon. Is there a lot of covid around you in your locales? There was quite a bit of it around my area a month ago. One of my piano families told me that they got notified by four other people besides me that they had contracted covid, all of us around the same time. And the tech at the ER who did the imaging to check for pneumonia told me that he and his girlfriend had just recovered from covid.
Mumsee from yesterday — what you wrote on the prayer thread: I’ll pull a Chas and say, “I don’t understand none of that.” Prayers nonetheless; as DJ reminded us above, God has this.
