Prayer Requests 6-30-23

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the nestlings.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 143

A psalm of David.

Lord, hear my prayer,
    listen to my cry for mercy;
   in your faithfulness and righteousness
    come to my relief.
Do not bring your servant into judgment,
    for no one living is righteous before you.
The enemy pursues me,
    he crushes me to the ground;
   he makes me dwell in the darkness
    like those long dead.
So my spirit grows faint within me;
    my heart within me is dismayed.
I remember the days of long ago;
    I meditate on all your works
    and consider what your hands have done.
I spread out my hands to you;
    I thirst for you like a parched land.

Answer me quickly, Lord;
    my spirit fails.
    Do not hide your face from me
    or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
    for I have put my trust in you.
   Show me the way I should go,
    for to you I entrust my life.
Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,
    for I hide myself in you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God;
   may your good Spirit
    lead me on level ground.

11 For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life;
    in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
    destroy all my foes,
    for I am your servant.

  1. ~ “June 30: Come quickly, Lord Jesus. Maranatha!

    He who testifies about these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! (Rev 22:20)” ~

    I have to admit that I have trouble asking Jesus to come quickly while those I love are currently unsaved. 😦

  2. Amen and amen.

    I struggled with that as well, Kizzie, until I realized God loves them more than I do and He will not leave any of His children for destruction. We can confidently pray for His return, knowing the timing is His.

  3. Please pray for Mitch. He is in his fifties and had diabetes since he was a child. He was in a terrible accident a few years ago. He recently fell when he stood from his wheelchair and ended up with two broken legs. He was on the floor for 18 hrs. before a neighbor heard him calling for help. He has been in rehab for a couple of months. Two weeks ago, they said his big toe would have to be amputated, but nothing has been done. He is a strong Christian, but this is wearing on him. They cannot seem to keep his blood sugar under control.
