  1. Good morning! It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood. I am just about to get off my first shift of this run. It has been a busy time. Attended a revival this week in my community. Was good teaching. Now, to apply to my life and relationships. I had a bit of time to catch up on about a week of the blog. I am glad to see that the babies arrived.

  2. Good morning everyone! Thanksgiving and praise lifts the burdens I allow the enemy to hand me. And through thanksgiving and praise, the burdens of the Lord are made light.

  3. Wow did we dodge a bullet this morning.

Took our older car (2016) in for service of a check engine light. Turns out it needs a new catalytic converter, which runs around $2500 bucks.

But, it’s still under warranty until 80K miles, which is 300 miles away. 😲

    Whew! 🙂

Good thing I decided to leave it sit for the past week while we waited for the appt. 🙂

  4. Ouch. For us, though we have head to tow, plate to plate coverage, nothing seems to be covered!

Son in law took his truck in for repairs, then off to chain saw training for his summer job with the forest service, then because his truck was not done, a twenty five mile bike ride back home. On the way home he received notice it was two hundred fifty, not under warranty.

  5. Good morning! I have been up since around 5:30. I got up early knowing we needed to get my car back to the shop it was at only two weeks ago because a tire indicator light came on and a tire has been leaking. Waiting for a call on that.

The photo is from the most recent hike with my friend oM Saturday. It is a park/nature preserve about two miles from my home. I will try to find a link for info on the park. It has been upgraded since Wes was young and we hiked there.

  6. Morning all.
Had to get up and ice my leg last night, but since I went to bed at 8 it was only 10 when I got up. The ice really helped and I am okay today. This just feels like sore muscles and not the usual pain. Mostly from going up and down my driveway and stairs. There were times I just had to sit down.
Now to go out for some more weed eating.
I think I will borrow a snow shovel today to scoop up the piles of leaves and get them into bags. The piles are all on the driveway so should work.

  7. Sounds like a horrible job, Jo, but it will be oh, so nice when it is finished.

Aj, so glad you made it in to get fixed in time!

Boo, on the warranty that covers almost nothing. So true of most of those things.

Ugh, on your job, too, mumsee. How quickly things grow when we don’t want them too. Hmm–a spiritual lesson there, I suppose.

  8. The other day we came home to someone at our electric pole. He said he was from the power company and was making a safety check. The odd thing about it was that he was traveling in a side by side. We have a substation just down the road and I saw a truck with a trailer parked there later. We have seen him going to other places.

Then today we got a letter offering insurance for our electric system for both inside and outside. It was specifically for our address and listed various options. They make sure you know the electric company won’t pay for the inside electric system and some on the outside. Since my husband put in the electric system, we have never thought otherwise. The company is endorsed by the electric company. Insurance seems to be a mighty big business these days.
