  1. ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, the beauty of God’s creation!

๐Ÿ˜ฆ Oh, the reality of the fall! Surely, mosquitoes are a result of the fall–at least their sting.

๐Ÿ™‚ The birth of those twins!

  2. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ This afternoon I noticed a package had been delivered on my porch. I have a couple of outstanding Amazon orders, so I figured it must be one of those or for Nightingale. The package was addressed to me, so must be mine.

I was puzzled to find things that I had not ordered, so I took a look at the receipt-type slip in the bag. It turns out that this was a gift from my friend Susan.

This touched me so much, especially since I have been feeling discouraged and stressed over things in the house and family. I cried tears of sadness and happiness together – sadness over the current situations, but happiness over the blessing of this out-of-the-blue gift.

After I sent her a Facebook message, thanking her for her the gifts, she replied that God had put me on her heart and she wanted to bless me. Wow! That touched me even more.

As I already know that every good gift is from our Father, I had already expressed my heartfelt gratitude to Him, and did so again upon reading Susan’s message.

The package contained a box with a variety of Pepperidge Farm cookies, and a keychain and pretty travel-type mug that each say “Sometimes you forget that you’re awesome. So this is your reminder.”

Of course, I know that I am not really awesome, but the thought is sweet and appreciated. โค

  4. Thank you, NJ. You’re pretty awesome, too!

Although I said that Susan is a friend, we haven’t seen each other in years, although she lives in the next town over, and used to go to my church before switching to another. But we have kept up a bit on Facebook.

She is the dear lady who lost her 30-something year old son a few years ago. I had had Tim Challies’ book about his experience with losing his son, “Seasons of Sorrow”, sent to her several months ago (or longer).

  5. God is amazing in how He works through His people. Prayer that we would be open to his leading on the โ€œsmallโ€ things which are really the big ones.

Looks like I will potentially be staying a bit longer. My brothers and husband are willing and the grass, though very tall, is not going away. The track will make quick work of it when I return.

  6. One kind of cookie in the box of Pepperidge Farm cookies is especially good, so I found it on Amazon, and ordered some to give to Nightingale some day as a surprise. I know she will greatly enjoy them.
