Prayer Requests 3-3-23

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 47

For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm.

Clap your hands, all you nations;
    shout to God with cries of joy.

For the Lord Most High is awesome,
    the great King over all the earth.
He subdued nations under us,
    peoples under our feet.
He chose our inheritance for us,
    the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.

God has ascended amid shouts of joy,
    the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.
Sing praises to God, sing praises;
    sing praises to our King, sing praises.
For God is the King of all the earth;
    sing to him a psalm of praise.

God reigns over the nations;
    God is seated on his holy throne.
The nobles of the nations assemble
    as the people of the God of Abraham,
   for the kings of the earth belong to God;
    he is greatly exalted.

  1. Asking prayer for Karen in early afternoon for pacemaker replacement.

    Asking prayer for myself in mid-afternoon when I drive to PT in bad stormy weather.

    Praise that Art just saw podiatrist and there was loose skin the doc had to trim from the healing wound. Underneath it looked good! I have to keep up with one more week of dressing it and putting lymphedema wraps on his leg before he goes back (hopefully) to his support stockings. Yay!

  2. Adorable 15, according to my daughter, brushed off the incident “because now I don’t have to study for my Spanish test and I wasn’t ready.”

    Adorable 13, who will attend that high school in 18 months, had a far more difficult time. Her aunt spent time with her yesterday letting her process.

    This woman would pull her kids out of school after that incident–combined with others.

    But I’m not their parents, so I pray.

    The high school four blocks from us, on the same day, had a kid bring an unloaded hand gun to school.

    The parents in my community are freaked out and angry, angry, angry.

    The older folks my age, cannot understand why the schools are so poorly run and, well, other things.

    More crisis for my fractured community of well-meaning people.

  3. Praise that I had a text earlier from Karen that all went well and she feels better with the new pacemaker.

    I had a great time seeing my friend. She lives so close to the hospital that she went home while I was at PT and took care of her dog before picking me up on the dot when I walked out of the building. Good PT session.

    It has been a day of answered prayers for me, PTL!!!

  4. The storm is pressing in now that we finished being on the road. Wow, looks bad out there.

    Michelle, I would pull kids out of school, too, but it would probably be so tough to do that at their ages. Praying for them and those who love them all.🙏❤

    I may need to run downstairs. I hear a car alarm going off somewhere. Could bad wind and rain cause that?

  5. Oh dear Janice! I have heard that strong winds can set off some car alarms. I am praying for our Lord’s protection over you and those surrounding you!!

    Thankful for your blessed day all around and for the good report given concerning Karen.

    M I too would be pulling my kids out of school but for those who cannot or just don’t want to I am praying for the protection of these young ones entrusted to their parents and to the school administration while under their care.
