ðĶ A stressful week at work last week with another ahead
ðĶ The sadness of loss, including the loss of the beloved pets God gives us to nurture and care for, often through many years
ð When it’s time, a new pet to bring into the fold
ðĶ The frustration that often comes with that as we’ve forgotten the “new dog” challenges
ð My neighbor’s first knee surgery, rescheduled from December when the first one was abruptly canceled due to an infected cyst discovered at the last minute, is now 2 weeks away
Enjoying taking my dad out for walks several times each day. Good to see him enjoying the outdoors again!
Enjoying some sleep now that son in law has taken on the grandfather care at night when he can wake up. If not, I can cover it but it is giving a good five hours of barely disrupted sleep!
Daughter and her boyfriend. Not a rave. But God knows what He is doing.
ð A beautiful day here today. I’ve opened windows just now!
ð ðĶ Challenging and difficult period–ultimately for the good–as I work through more inner healing issues. Yikes.
ð Making the decision to take a spiritual health day and NOT do all the “ought tos” on my list helped.
ð And then I went to Adorable 11’s basketball game, bought lunch, shared it with CR, and then went outside to prune her roses for 2.5 hours.
ð Yep, feeling better now. ð
ð Several deep writings from loved ones to go through now, consider, pray about, and then answer. I couldn’t bear to read one of them because of what I suspected–but my husband read it and said, yes, the second message was hard, but the third one showed how our friend worked through to hope and was in a much better place.
ð So, I’m not so leery of sitting down to read 9 pages of her life of late.
ð Today is baby Harper’s due date. She weighs 7 pounds and looks great.
ð Your prayers really made a difference for that family. Things are hopeful, now, and may even be looking up. My friend is so thankful to the God she semi-abandoned some years ago.
ðĶ ð God takes us through hard things, but He never leaves nor forsakes us. We can trust Him–even when circumstances look so bleak.
ð Beautiful snow on our mountains, towering in the distance beyond the city and port, which are awash in sunshine today.
ð ðĶ Home Depot — I had to pick up a light bulb to replace the one that burned out in my dusk-to-dawn driveway lamp fixture — has made the transition from the winter holidays.
No more pumpkins or Santas or pretty lights or trees.
Highlighted merchandise on display now is heavy on various storage bins, tools, gardening supplies, and outdoor grills.
We go straight from winter holidays to spring here, in our minds and shopping passions, anyway.
ð It still feels strange sometimes to be in a real store “shopping.”

ð Our mild weather has been so nice when we have had to be out and about.
ðĶ Icy walkways and streets.
ð Hearing good things about grandchildren.
ðĶ Hearing sad things others are going through. So blessed to be encouraged to pray for one another in the bible.
