Prayer Requests 1-13-23

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 3

A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom.

Lord, how many are my foes!
    How many rise up against me!
Many are saying of me,
    “God will not deliver him.”

But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
    my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
I call out to the Lord,
    and he answers me from his holy mountain.

I lie down and sleep;
    I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.
I will not fear though tens of thousands
    assail me on every side.

Arise, Lord!
    Deliver me, my God!
   Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
    break the teeth of the wicked.

From the Lord comes deliverance.
    May your blessing be on your people.

  1. Continued prayers for Mumsee and household.

    Thanking God for keeping you all safe during the past day or two of bad weather. Our experience with tornadoes 10 years ago taught me the value of not taking our safety for granted. Our house is literally the highest house on a ridge that has many houses. We were under tornado watch yesterday, but only had a brief period of high winds. And no power outage or damage. Thanking God for safety, and prayers for those who are struggling to put things back together after the storm.

  2. Thanks, Debra. Another fall this morning. Grandpa got up in the wee hours and was looking for his shoes in a dark crowded corner of grandchildren supplies. Ended up flat on his back on the floor with a banged up elbow but is now out in the garage going through his stuff so must not have been too damaging.

  3. So glad you all stayed safe, Debra. I saw that second unexpected popup tornado toward the end when it seemed all should have been clear up your way. The weather yesterday was sneakier than ever with all the extra hits like that. The Fox weather guys were talking about how the weather was mocking them😳

    Prayers for Gramps to not have pain from that fall, Mumsee. Every day seems eventful, doesn’t it? Seems I recall Chas saying he liked days with not much happening.
    🙏 for quick healing and no more falls along with clear-headed thinking.

    I had to address some inconsistencies in my care. Please pray it is all received properly as I tried to do it in a diplomatic manner, and may it make a good difference for all patients, the docs, and staff. Good change can’t happen if no one talks about the problems. Praising God for supplying me with words yesterday.

  4. God is using you for good, Janice.

    I woke up in the night and realized that I am totally overwhelmed and probably need a counselor.

    I need to go slow and probably talk to someone.
    Friends may come by tomorrow who came home from PNG as one member of the family needed counseling.
