It’s Thursday, so don’t forget Jo and the folks in PNG.
Anyone else have something to share?
Luke 1:26-38
The Birth of Jesus Foretold
26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.”
38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
On our way to Stargazer.
The rogue clouds are beautiful.
The heat is working nicely.
CR is streaming a symphony written by her former roommate (who also wrote a piece called, “The Room Nextdoor!”).
Impressive!
We are thankful.

Prayers for those traveling like Michelle. May angels surround and protect from any dangerous situations along the way. Thank You, Lord, for the many blessings You bestowe upon Michelle and her large family. Please keep them energized and able to bless others as needs appear along their path. May You be glorified through their giftings and sharing of You in the many destinations to which they travel. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Praising God for the answer to my prayer this a.m. He is so good to help those in need who believe and ask for His assistance. He gives us these little evidences all along our paths that He knows and has us covered with His love and goodness for eternity!

Please pray for safe traveling home for Nightingale tonight. She is working a double today, and we are expecting, according to the report, “torrential rains and damaging wind making travel difficult” around the time she will be driving home. (She works in another town, and the drive is usually about 20 minutes, but of course will be longer tonight.)

My niece (the one with autism and doing her Master’s) is trying to fly home for Christmas today – the plane has had numerous delays. She will be devastated if she’s not home for Christmas. Please pray she either makes it home or that she will be able to cope with staying put.

I just sent Nightingale a Facebook message inviting her to my church’s Eve of Christmas Eve Candlelight Service tomorrow night. Please pray that although this is not “her kind of thing”, she will accept. Maybe she will be drawn to the idea of doing something traditional. The service is at 7:00, and only expected to last an hour, so it wouldn’t be inconvenient.
Knowing her, though, she could be elbow-deep in cooking and baking at that time, which would make it inconvenient.
