  1. The shoe is now on the other foot, and they just can’t deal with it… 🙂

Turns out threatening his family was a bridge too far for Elon.

Weird, right? Because that’s what they kept telling Trump and conservatives. 🙂

“COVID origins ‘may have been tied’ to China’s bioweapons program: GOP report

House Republicans state that the virus ‘spilled over’ to the human population”

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/covid-origins-may-have-been-tied-chinas-bioweapons-program-gop-report

“Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee are alleging in a newly released report that there are “indications” that COVID-19 could be tied to China’s biological weapons research program and “spilled over” to the general human population during an incident at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The information was released in a minority staff report by members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on Wednesday night.

“Contrary to the implication of the [Intelligence Community’s] declassified report, based on our investigation involving a variety of public and non-public information, we conclude that there are indications that SARS-CoV-2 may have been tied to China’s biological weapons research program and spilled over to the human population during a lab-related incident at the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” a summary of the report states. “The IC failed to adequately address this information in its classified Updated Assessment. When we attempted to raise the issues with the IC, it failed to respond.”

In a declassified assessment on the origins of COVID-19 by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in October 2021, the report states that SARS-CoV-2 was “probably not a biological weapon,” adding, “We remain skeptical of allegations that SARS-CoV-2 was a biological weapon because they are supported by scientifically invalid claims.”

Wednesday’s report released by House Republicans also alleges that its investigation “revealed serious shortcomings with both the classified and declassified versions of the Intelligence Community’s,” and states that the omissions “likely skewed the public’s understanding of key issues and deepened mistrust.”

“The Committee believes the IC downplayed important information relating to the possible links between COVID-19 and China’s bioweapons research based in part on input from outside experts,” the report states, adding that the intelligence community “refuses to be transparent with the Committee regarding which experts it relied on.”

Rep. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, told Fox News Digital that Americans deserve answers regarding the origins of COVID-19

“The American people are owed answers about the origins of COVID-19. Our report states that COVID-19 may have been tied to China’s bioweapons research program and that the Intelligence Community (IC) withheld key information from the American public’s authorized elected officials, deepening public mistrust,” Wenstrup said. “Our findings also show that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) bears more responsibility for the COVID-19 pandemic than what has been publicly known or transparently communicated to the American people.”

    “Trump was right about TikTok”

    https://donsurber.blogspot.com/2022/12/trump-was-right-about-tiktok.html

“On August 1, 2020, President Trump told a reporter on his way to Marine One, “We’re looking at TikTok. We may be banning TikTok. We may be doing some other things. There’s a couple of options…we are looking at a lot of alternatives with respect to TikTok.”

Red China owns TikTok through its myriad fake companies, all of which are controlled by the communist party.

The left quickly attacked Trump. Jennifer Granick of the ACLU (Annoying Club of Loser Unworthies) quickly denounced the move.

She said, “Banning an app that millions of Americans use to communicate with each other is a danger to free expression and is technologically impractical. With any Internet platform, we should be concerned about the risk that sensitive private data will be funneled to abusive governments, including our own. But shutting one platform down, even if it were legally possible to do so, harms freedom of speech online and does nothing to resolve the broader problem of unjustified government surveillance.”
A federal judge kept Trump from kicking TikTok out.

The ACLU changed its tune once Trump no longer was president.

It warned on April 14, “Last month, TikTok users started a seemingly innocuous trend that highlights the irises in their eyes. Users show their eyes up close, then use a high resolution filter to show the details, patterns, and colors of their irises. What started as a new filter in response to the popular TV series “Euphoria” has turned into a rapidly-growing trend: More than 700,000 videos have been created in the span of around a month. However, as these videos proliferated, so did concerns about people inadvertently exposing their unique biometric identifiers to collection through automated scanning of these iris images. Such scanning is a form of biometric technology similar to face recognition and fingerprinting.

“Despite TikTok users expressing concern, the company has not answered critical questions, including whether TikTok has partnered with companies selling iris recognition technology, whether they’re harvesting this sensitive data, where it’s being hosted, or what they might use this data for. The lack of transparency is a big part of the problem.”

Oh, if there were only some way the American government could stop TikTok from stealing our personal data.

With Trump out of the way, Republicans are making moves to block TikTok on government devices. Republican governors in Maryland, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas and Nebraska blocked TikTok. Indiana sued TikTok last week.

The Senate voted unanimously to block TikTok on federal devices.

    Trump was right.

Democrat Senator Mark Warner of Virginia said, “As painful as it is for me to say, if Donald Trump was right and we could’ve taken action then, that’d have been a heck of a lot easier than trying to take action in November of 2022. The sooner we bite the bullet, the better.”

Marco Rubio, who co-sponsored the Senate action, said, “There is no more time to waste on meaningless negotiations with a CCP-puppet company. It is time to ban Beijing-controlled TikTok for good.”

Rubio gets it. The problem goes well beyond TikTok. He cut to the chase. We should stop wasting time trying to negotiate with CCP-puppet companies.”
