  1. Very thankful that step mom went Home so gently, with a smile on her face.
Thankful that we were able to bring grandpa home for a while. He may go back to Florida but for now does not trust his wife or her daughter to not toss him in a home by himself.
Thankful my dad is doing well after his wife’s passing and willing to consider moving to one or all of his children’s homes.
Thankful for such a wonderful husband who cares about people.
Thankful for God putting us in a situation where we can help them.
Thankful for daughter’s new set of twins.
Thankful twenty one is doing so well and we are able to support her in her life at the hotel.
Thankful for the younger two being here still and able and willing to help.
Thankful for Church family able and willing to help us in our time of need.
Thankful for the State in which we live and the country in which we live.
Thankful for the Lord’s involvement in our lives
Thankful that He restored me to Life.
Thankful that to live is Christ and to die is gain.

  2. Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son

And now let the weak say, “I am strong”
Let the poor say, “I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us”

  3. Good Thanksgiving to you all. How incredibly thankful am I for my brothers and sisters here. May this day and every day hold for you the knowing He is right beside you… ♥️
That turkey up there is looking for a good hiding spot!! 🦃

  4. That turkey could be in my yard. They run free all over where my house is. And then we wonder why we have bear and mountain lion sightings. Lots of good food for them with the turkeys and the deer.

Happy Thanksgiving. I have to figure out the best place to roll our the crescent rolls. I usually use a small table, but it is upstairs and I can’t carry it down.

  5. Happy Thanksgiving! It is a lovely day here.
Brother brought turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, and mustard greens. I fixed red and green cole slaw, and Wesley made a cranberry orange loaf. We still have pumpkin pie and vanilla ice cream cups to enjoy.

I am certainly thankful that Art is improving a bit each day. I have too many things to list to take time for now but there is so much. God is good every moment of life. No one could ever thank Him enough!

I heard the guys question where I disappeared to and Wes said I may be napping. Time for me to reappear!

    Enjoy the leftovers!

  6. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am thankful for a wonderful, old fashioned Thanksgiving meal. We have three pies, a crustless pumpkin, a chocolate and an apple. Ridiculous given the number of people we have, which is six. Two are six and under, although they can eat much more than I would believe. Leftovers and pies until soup time.

Now my interior designer is putting the tree lights on for me. Tomorrow we will allow the littles to decorate it.

Oh, the energy those little ones have. Later I will help the older sister cut out some fabric for some placemats she is making. Then we will play games.

So glad Art is improving, Janice. Glad for all mumsee’s good news too.

We haven’t had turkeys right in the yard for a while. Maybe because the bird feeder is no longer up. We see plenty around, so that is fine.

  7. I was just catching up on the other thread. Such good news that Dj may have a good match for her new companion willing to suffer cats😀 That was a nice Thanksgiving Day treat to read about.
Football games have been enjoyed here today as well as the food.

Early this morning I copied my recipe for Cranberry Orange Loaf on a large notecard for Wesley. I have really liked the recipe because it is low sugar (3 Tbsp). Somehow I forgot to put the sugar on the card. Wesley went strictly by the recipe😀 As it turned out, it worked well so my brother could eat it though he has diabetes. Some people might think it is too tart, but I like it.

  8. Peter, thanks, I love that song as well, hadn’t heard it in a while — but have been singing it to myself all day.

We had our cousins-style non-traditional Thanksgiving out, small plates with a few slices of turkey, a small scoop of mashed potatoes, small dab of dressing, green beans, a roll, cranberry sauce and gravy, as requested, on the side.

My cousin, who’s tiny, complained it was too much food and she was getting stuffed (said no one else ever with those small portions). I’m not sure we’re actually related.

We had pumpkin pie back at her house later, chatted for a couple hours, then dispersed, maybe figured out a contact for my heater problem; no fuss, no muss, no dishes to speak of.

When I told my cousin Bill that my heater was from 1998, he said. “Oh, so it’s new.” He has a house built in the early 1900s and it still has the old floor furnace that works.

  9. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! All is well here. We all stayed home and I cooked, so now we have plenty of leftovers plus some in the freezer. We’ve been watching videos of Iran and the persecuted church. So thankful for all the Lord is doing here and all over the world. He is faithful.

  10. Hoping you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving dinner will be tomorrow, since Nightingale worked today. Chickadee will be here, and Stephanie and her little family will come later for dessert.

Nightingale did a lot of prepping earlier this week to make things a little easier tomorrow.

  11. Sounds as though ya’ll had a nice day! Now everyone must be taking naps!

Meal was prepared, consumed and now leftovers are in the fridge. It was such a perfectly quiet sort of day…just what we needed. Thankful

  12. Husband asked me if we were having a Thanksgiving dinner. I told him I was not up to it, too stressed. He said that was fine, he would just fix a turkey and a couple of things. I suggested buying a pumpkin pie. Twenty one made a peach pie. Sixteen made green bean casserole, Fifteen made fruit salad, and sourdough dinner rolls, I opened a can of cranberry sauce and olives and pickles and applesauce, husband made a turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy and stuffing and sweet potatoes. Just a small dinner. Oh well, I was stuffed and watched the children all go back for seconds and thirds. Son and husband did the dishes and put away leftovers. Grandpa enjoyed it and a slice of pumpkin pie.
