Psalm 92
A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.
1 It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
2 proclaiming your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,
3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
and the melody of the harp.
4 For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
5 How great are your works, Lord,
how profound your thoughts!
6 Senseless people do not know,
fools do not understand,
7 that though the wicked spring up like grass
and all evildoers flourish,
they will be destroyed forever.
8 But you, Lord, are forever exalted.
9 For surely your enemies, Lord,
surely your enemies will perish;
all evildoers will be scattered.
10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox;
fine oils have been poured on me.
11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries;
my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.
12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
13 planted in the house of the Lord,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
Prayers for AJ, Janice, Mumsee, Kare’s DIL, Six, and all here. Was thinking of Kbells family.

Husband found an excellent fit for his dad as far as assisted living, an old Carpenters Home. However, step mom has decided to move to assisted living nearer her daughter. Which is fine, as long as they get dad into a place where he can have help. So husband and his brother are planning on renting a uhaul, moving them to assisted living (again) and then use the uhaul to haul the stuff from the storeage shed back here. Some of use and value but most will probably go the way of so much of materialism. Prayer for wisdom and common sense to prevail.

Yes, prayers for Nancyjill to have gotten a clean bill of health as expected.
I am still doing okay while on the med. I needed an update from a doc on how long to take the med, but I have not heard yet. Should stop tomorrow, but the pharmacy gave me 30 days instead of 10 days worth.

Step mom was told at the last appt that she was good with her stomach cancer procedures until mid Dec but then the oncologist had an appt made for her on Monday. Concerning but we know Who knows.

So much to pray for.
Add my good friend K who had surgery for a horrible hemorrhoid on her rear and is recovering at home. She seems to be doing well so far though she’s having trouble tolerating the pain meds; they’re cutting them in half which seems to be working better. Family is taking good care of her.
Pray also for her anxiety levels which have been a lifelong issue for her. Surgeon spotted a bump/lump on her throat so she needs to get that checked out after this recovery is finished; but she thinks it’s from her anxious habit of constantly clearing her throat (and I remember that tic when we were roommates so many years ago).
She’s just always been a super anxious person who drives herself too much for work (she’s a public school teacher) and other projects she takes on, she never sits still it seems to me, gets too little sleep.

So sorry to hear about K’s unique set of difficulties, dj. It sounds like such a bad combination of sufferings. I pray for God’s peace to settle her anxious habits, and that God will work out remedies for each ailment so they fall away one by one leaving her feeling good after all these many years. I’m reminded of that woman with the issue of blood for all those years. K must be so tired from all the internal battles. May God give her the best night’s rest ronight.😴

I hope they find the best pain med for her, DJ. We are all so different and some can leave a person jittery and nervous as I well know.

My 92 y/o friend has Covid. Please pray for a quick recovery. She has been assisting in her SIL’s recovery from full knee replacement surgery for maybe 2 months. He is in the hospital now with Covid. Reminder of dj’s Covid after her surgery. Thankful for her recovery. Covid is evil.

My dad and stepmom are sick. They think they have Covid and are in quarantine in their suite. But they seem to be doing better each day.
