Prayer Requests 8-31-22

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 43

Vindicate me, my God,
    and plead my cause
    against an unfaithful nation.
Rescue me from those who are
    deceitful and wicked.
You are God my stronghold.
    Why have you rejected me?
Why must I go about mourning,
    oppressed by the enemy?
Send me your light and your faithful care,
    let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.
Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the lyre,
    O God, my God.

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
   Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.

  1. Lots to praise for and to pray for. May all this medical trouble point us all to our Creator and Life Giver.
Kevin and the real, Janice, DJ, Jo, the boy and family, Michelle’s Kim, Debra and C’s continuing healing, and so on.
And on other lines, so many needs. May we all be drawn to the King of Kings, letting our hope rest in Him.
Fortunately, God knows our needs, even when we forget them.

  2. The latest from the family in Greece is 8 hours old and not good.

The ten-year-old, Hazel, was running a high fever and had a bad headache last night. They planned to go back to the ER this morning–which, as I’m typing, was about 10 hours ago.

I haven’t heard anymore, but the prayer request last night was challenging.

    1. Hazel’s health. That’s primary.
    2. What their family should do.

    Thanks.

  3. Such a curious world–we’re rejoicing that Hazel (whose fever was 103.9) “only” has COVID.

Meanwhile, her husband is on a bus back to Albania to pick up the rest of the family’s luggage and hopefully NOT see the Albanian MAFIA rental car guy who has done . . . who knows what? He won’t return to Thessalonika until late tomorrow night.

No decisions made–and now put off for a week while COVID does its tricks.

  4. Boy is doing better today than he was yesterday. His appetite has mostly come back. Nightingale and I do not have any symptoms (yet?), but she got very little sleep last night, and looked exhausted when she got home from work. So please pray that she will sleep well tonight and have a good and healthy day tomorrow. Thank you.
