  2. Liz Cheney’s and the corrupt Jan6 Committee’s latest narrative goes down in flames, thanks to daddy. And lets face it, daddy’s the only reason anyone even knows her name.

“Liz Cheney’s J6 attack on Trump undercut by her father’s own actions during 1992 LA riots

Presidents authorize Guard use but typically wait for requests from local officials, just like then-Defense Secretary Dick Cheney did during 1992 Rodney King riots.”

    https://justthenews.com/accountability/hldliz-cheneys-attack-trump-undercut-her-fathers-own-actions-during-1992-la-riots

“Long estranged from the 45th president, Republican Rep. Liz Cheney tried recently to make hay against Donald Trump by suggesting he never ordered National Guard troops to the Capitol during the Jan. 6 riots. But her attack misconstrues Pentagon procedures and is undercut by her own father’s actions as defense secretary during the 1992 Rodney King riots.

In modern history, the Defense Department has interpreted its obligations under the Posse Comitatus Act passed in 1878 to mean that National Guard troops can’t be ordered into action for civil unrest in American localities unless they are requested by local authorities, such as a mayor, police chief or governor, according to a historical analysis of the Pentagon’s compliance with the law.

The practice is for a president to authorize his defense secretary to deploy troops in times of crisis upon receipt of a request and then let the Pentagon order deployment once that plea for help is made

That’s what Trump did in the days before the Jan. 6 riot, and what President George H.W. Bush and then-Defense Secretary Dick Cheney did during the violence that exploded in Los Angeles in the spring of 1992 after a jury acquitted police officers in the attack on Rodney King, according to the 2018 historical review from the Combat Studies Institute at Fort Leavenworth. That study acknowledged there remains much ambiguity about how the law applies to federal troop deployments on U.S. soil.

Cheney’s authorization for troops to be ready in 1992 came only after a request first came from California Gov. Pete Wilson and Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley and after Bush authorized but did not order their deployment, the 2018 analysis stated.

Bush’s instructions stated: “The Secretary of Defense is authorized to use such of the Armed Forces as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of section 1. To that end, he is authorized to call into the active military service of the United States units or members of the National Guard, as authorized by law, to serve in an active duty status for an indefinite period and until relieved by appropriate orders. Units or members may be relieved subject to recall at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense.”

The military history of that event shows that Cheney, as defense secretary, then acted to place 4,000 troops on alert.”

“Documents show the Trump administration followed a similar approach in the lead-up to the Jan. 6, 2021 Capital riot. The Trump Pentagon offered National Guard assistance to the Capitol Police four days ahead of the event, according to the Capitol Police’s official timeline of events.

The Defense Department contacted the Capitol Police on Jan. 2, 2021 to “determine whether USCP is considering a request for National Guard soldiers for January 6, 2021 event,” the timeline states. The next day, Capitol Police Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher replied that a “request for National Guard support is not forthcoming at this time after consultation with” Police Chief Steve Sund, the timeline added.

On Jan. 3, 2021, Trump met with senior aides at the White House, including acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley and urged them to use whatever National Guard troops were needed to ensure there was no violence at the event.

“The president told Mr. Miller that there would be a large number of protesters on January 6, 2021, and Mr. Miller should ensure sufficient National Guard or soldiers would be there to make sure it was a safe event,” the Pentagon inspector general reported last year.

Former DOD Chief of Staff Kash Patel told Just the News that at that meeting Trump said he was authorizing up to 20,000 troops that could be deployed or readied if needed.

On Jan. 4, 2021, Miller consulted with local Washington, D.C. officials, and signed an authorization for the Army Secretary that approved 340 unarmed D.C. National Guardsmen to be ready for action, and giving the Army chief permission in advance to deploy a quick reaction force as a “last resort” without having to go back to Miller or Trump.

“The DCNG will be postured to support; however, will not commit until the request for support is approved,” Miller wrote.

The Pentagon’s chief watchdog, who reviewed the DOD’s actions leading up to Jan. 6, concluded they were lawful and appropriate.

“We concluded that the actions the DoD took before January 6, 2021, to prepare for the planned protests in Washington, D.C., on January 5 and 6, 2021, were appropriate, supported by requirements, and consistent with the DoD’s roles and responsibilities,” the inspector general wrote in a report late last year.

“In particular, we determined that the decisions made by Mr. Miller, Mr. McCarthy, and other senior DoD officials, and actions taken by the DoD in response to the civil disturbance at the U.S. Capitol Campus on January 6, 2021, were reasonable in light of the circumstances that existed on that day and requests from D.C. officials and the USCP,” the report added.

On Jan. 5, 2021, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser made clear she did not want any further National Guard troops sent to the Capitol.

“To be clear, the District of Columbia is not requesting other federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment,” Bowser wrote.”

  3. 2020 was the most corrupt election in US history.

“The Ultra Elite vs. The Ultra MAGA

    January 6th While Rome Burns”

    https://sashastone.substack.com/p/the-ultra-elite-vs-the-ultra-maga?sd=pf#details

“In 2020, an unprecedented alliance of the richest and most powerful entities in the country came together to rig an election. Now I’m not saying they did anything illegal. Or that there was widespread fraud. But really, does that matter?

By now, after they spent four years trying to remove Trump from power, impeached him twice, and now Merrick Garland has launched the “largest investigation in American history,” all to boost the Democrats chances in the midterms and try to knock Trump out to keep him from running in 2024, you gotta wonder. What are they so afraid of?

The election was rigged because they were afraid Trump would win in 2020. Indeed, a one-term president with a strong economy is unbeatable. To bring him down they would have to take control of the media narrative, deliberately crash the economy, and discredit everything Trump ever did to manage the COVID pandemic.

All that because they couldn’t beat him with just Joe Biden. I know it was more than that. I know they were pressuring the media to “fix” their obsession with Hillary’s emails in 2016. They were pressuring Mark Zuckerberg to “help” them win this time, since he “helped” Trump win last time. Facebook offered the same “help” to the Clinton campaign, but she turned him down.

They were worried about a scandal erupting as the “October surprise.” You know, like the Access Hollywood tape in 2016? It’s okay when they do it. Trump tried to do it with the Hunter Biden story, and you’ll never believe what happened next.

“Hey ya, Mr. Dorsey? Yes, this is a shadowy figure who works for the apparatus, and we think you need to bury that Hunter Biden story. Why? Well, it looks bad for Joe. Also, it’s Russian disinformation. Also, if you post it, you will be complicit in spreading Russian disinformation. Also, you will be helping a racist/fascist win the presidency. We good?”

All of the other major Silicon Valley dude-bros complied. What did they have to lose? Nothing. They know which side butters their bread.

What we saw in 2020 was the richest and most powerful people essentially subverting American Democracy.

In their efforts to remove one president they didn’t like and install another, we lived through probably the most corrupt election in American history by a group of people who really do believe they have the right to manipulate an election. With enough money and lawyers you can do anything.

Normally, you’d have reporters at the Washington Post and the New York Times doing detailed reports of how corrupt our government had become. They’re not above the American people. They’re not above American Democracy. But that isn’t what you see. Even now, you still see them taking one side. The Twitter blue-check side.

Who are they, you might ask? You know who the ULTRA MAGA is thanks to Joe Biden’s decision to dehumanize half the country. Now meet the ULTRA ELITE.

The ULTRA ELITE is the blue-check army on Twitter of the most revered, famous, wealthy, and powerful high-status people in the country – Stephen King, Bette Midler, Patricia Arquette, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Obama, Michael Beschloss, John Dean, Howard Dean, and then, of course, the Never Trumpers like Rick Wilson and Steve Schmidt – they called themselves “The Resistance.” But really, they were the ULTRA ELITE.

They’re the Obama coalition. They’re Netflix and HBO Max. They’re Nike and Microsoft. They’re the Grammys and the Oscars. They’re Audible and Home Depot. They sit atop the food chain, making the most money. Almost every major corporation in America, almost every university, research lab, opera house, art museum are all in alignment with the ULTRA ELITE.

They listen to NPR, they read the New York Times. They think the Washington Post is still a legit newspaper and they are all in agreement that Trump incited a “violent insurrection” on January 6th and that his supporters were a “white supremacist” army about to overthrow the mighty United States of America. Imagine our country is that vulnerable it was threatened by an unarmed mob of protesters.

But the ULTRA ELITE lives in fear. They hide in their bunker and want the bad people to disappear. They send out scouts to see if they’re gone. If they see one ULTRA MAGA you know, walking around without a mask or wearing a red cap – that means it’s not over yet. They just want their utopia back. Their perfect little world before Trump wrecked it.

The truth still matters though it is in limited supply. Watching the entire media take a side on the January 6th show trial is frightening. There isn’t even a question of due process or presumption of innocence. They’ve been convicted in the court of public opinion, and that’s all that matters.

Over the past six years, we’ve just become numb to living in a country that disappears perceived wrongdoers. Cancel culture replaced the presumption of innocence and due process with trial-by-mob. Why wouldn’t that hysteria swallow up the government too? Joe Biden has been targeting Trump voters ever since, smearing them as “racists” and “insurrectionists” and “election deniers,” “anti-vaxxers,” and “white supremacists”.

On the Left they believe you should be as forceful and aggressive as possible to fight for your rights. When Trump supporters do it, they’re the wrong class of people. They’re not the ULTRA ELITE. They’re ULTRA MAGA. That’s bad. So they should never try to fight against a government they feel has betrayed them. Not this government. It’s ESG-infused fashionable fascism.

One day the whole story will be told, and history will not be kind. No group of people who dehumanizes another fares well in retrospect. How will you explain the treatment of people who breached the Capitol after so many on the Left have done the same thing? “Oh, they were racists” – is that the plan?”

“The media is part of the ULTRA ELITE that runs this country by controlling the chosen narrative and micromanaging a manufactured consensus on Twitter. They are the ones who get to say if it’s right or wrong, fair or corrupt. It’s like the end of Chinatown when Evelyn has nowhere to turn because Noah Cross owns the police. The ULTRA ELITE can’t check the media because they are the media.

But it’s one thing if they’re just winning an election, bending the rules with a nudge wink wink, which did more damage to Americans’ faith in “Democracy Itself” than January 6th. It’s entirely different from waging a 9/11-style “war on terror” against anyone who might think about voting for Trump. It is an abuse of power that I believe they will regret one day.”

“Why Won’t Republicans Stop The Degradation And Politicization Of The U.S. Military?”

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2022/08/02/tucker_carlson_why_wont_republicans_stop_the_degradation_and_politicization_of_the_us_military.html

“This is one of the weirdest moments in the weirdest presidency in American history. The Biden administration is provoking a hot war with China, which by itself would seem to be headline news, but why? It might make a kind of sense if Biden had been a China hawk over the course of his career, if he wasn’t taking money from the Chinese government, which he has, but of course, he’s the opposite of a China hawk. He is a toady to China. Since the day Biden was elected, he has helped the Chinese government in ways that no American president has ever even contemplated, a partial list. The administration helped cover up the origins of COVID even after it became very clear that this global pandemic, which wrecked the American economy, was created by the Chinese military, but we can’t mention that because it’s racist.

Then, the White House shut down a counterespionage program designed to stop Chinese spying, which is endemic in the United States. Then, Biden dropped tariffs against Chinese goods. Then, he refused to do anything to move critical manufacturing back to the United States. At the same time, he’s literally selling our strategic oil reserves to China in the middle of a domestic energy crisis and, by the way, handing our entire energy grid over to the government of China and then to top it off today, the Pentagon spokesman, John Kirby, who acts as the White House spokesman all of a sudden for some reason said this, “We do not support Taiwan independence.”

When was the last time a White House said that? No, they don’t say that. Now they are saying it. “We don’t think Taiwan is its own country.” Okay. So, on every level, meaningfully, on the policy levels that matter, Biden has been more pro-China than any president and yet he seems to want a war with China. Now, this does not make any sense at all. In fact, it only makes sense if the Biden White House is intentionally trying to weaken and destroy the United States.

There’s no other logical explanation for what we’re seeing now and in fact the template is very familiar. What’s happening in China looks very much like what happened in Ukraine earlier this year. The administration sends the least capable possible emissary to a flashpoint in a faraway part of the world in order to provoke a violent response. Then it was Kamala Harris who was an international joke, the last person you would send to negotiate any kind of peaceful settlement to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but they sent her anyway. She exacerbated it and they got what they wanted, which is an invasion of Ukraine and a war with Russia, which is what they wanted. Now they’re sending Nancy Pelosi and not to be mean, but like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi is senile. Don’t believe it? You don’t see her speak very often. We’re going to treat you. Here’s Nancy Pelosi’s explanation for why she is going to Taiwan.

PELOSI: The president earlier well, earlier in his term talked about a strong emphasis on the Asian Pacific. He visited there, as vice president visited there, the secretary of commerce and others and we want the Congress of the United States to be part of that initiative. Of course, as a West Coast person, we see the Pacific as there, you know, that’s our home. We’re part of that as well. That is not to diminish the importance of our transatlantic relationships as well, but… I’m very excited should we go to the countries that…you’ll be hearing about along the way.

She’s excited. She’s going to assemble a slideshow. We’re going to meet in the gym later and see the pictures she’s taking because it turns out as West Coast person, Nancy Pelosi is very much that, Taiwan has always been on her bucket list. So many nights, she stared across San Francisco Bay and wondered what it’s like over there in Taipei. So, for Nancy Pelosi, she just told you this is a dream come true. Next year, she’s going to Disney World. This year, Taipei. This is lunacy.

Nancy Pelosi, clearly, you just saw the tape, has no understanding of what she is doing or what might happen if she does it. No one wants to say it out loud, but the truth is, she can’t know because like Kamala Harris, she’s never even been in a bar fight. She has no understanding of violence or its consequences and there are consequences, including the potential deaths of millions of people. This is exactly the wrong time, the craziest possible time, to send an 82-year-old narcissist to Taiwan. The U.S. has never been less ready for war, particularly for war with China, and the Biden administration has done everything it can to make certain that we are not ready for a war with China or even with the Taliban.

Biden has, since the day he took office, politicized and weakened the United States military systematically to the point we are not going to win a war against China. Sorry, that’s true. General Mark Milley out there telling Congress that soldiers need to learn about White rage because otherwise they’ll be unprepared for combat. Attacking people on the basis of their skin color, right? Firing Navy SEALs because they won’t get the vaccine, the healthiest people in the world and they’re fired because they won’t get the vaccine and then just to make totally clear what the point is and the point, of course, is humiliation and degradation, the destruction of centuries old military traditions, let’s have drag shows and military bases, which they are now doing. No one should be surprised that people don’t really want to join a military like that, a woke military.

It’s a joke and the recruitment numbers show it. This is a crisis. The U.S. military is now signing up, no exaggeration, mentally deficient troops. That’s not hyperbole. The Army used to ban recruits with a history of mental health problems, including self-mutilation because, of course, you would not going to hand people guns if they have a history of mental instability, but now DOD is issuing waivers for those recruits because they need them, as well as for recruits with aptitude issues. In other words, with an IQ so low, it would be very difficult to navigate modern war as well as records of drug use, but all of this, lowering the standards to these points, are still not enough to make recruitment goals.

The Army just told Congress it has to reduce its total force strength by 10,000 next year. By 2023, will be 21,000 troops short. The Army has just met half of its recruiting goals so far this fiscal year, with only two months left. Why? Two months left. They’re halfway there. Well, again, because the military under Joe Biden, and no wants to say this because it’s so depressing, the last great meritocracy in the West is no longer a meritocracy. It’s totally politicized, firing soldiers who didn’t take the shot.

More than 60,000 National Guard and Reserve soldiers just lost pay and benefits because they wouldn’t take the shot in the face of a mountain of evidence that the shot actually doesn’t work and can hurt you, particularly if you’re a young man who comprise the overall majority of our troops. Then the military once again telling White men that they’re privileged and inherently evil. Major General Ed Thomas, the Air Force recruitment director, published an op ed called (and we’re not making this up) “86% of Air Force pilots are White men. Here’s why this needs to change.” Really? The thousands of Air Force pilots who died in the service of their country happen to be White men. Their families are now being informed actually, they shouldn’t have been flying anyway because of their race.

So what does the Air Force want to become? Well, at the end of July, the Air Force hosts a diversity festival at Langley with a drag show, featuring a performer called Harpy Daniels. Of course, kids are welcome. The Air Force is also paying for a bouncy house and face painting for the children to keep them occupied between all the drag shows. Meanwhile in China, here’s a video the PLA just put out this week which shows a different kind of orientation. Watch this.

Did you notice the difference? There were no trans admirals in that video. By the way, all this is publicly available. So, the next time you hear members of Congress, particularly Republican members of Congress, we can think of quite a few of them, starting with Liz Cheney, lecturing you about our military. “We support our military and we’re signing off on a brand-new military budget.” They’ve done nothing about this. The degradation of the U.S. military, politicized, woke, weak that’s happened with no oversight from the Congress. They just keep funding this stuff. They’re implicated in this.

There are also some pictures of China’s navy in the video you just saw. Turns out, China’s navy is now larger than ours. That’s a problem because once China controls the shipping lanes, China controls the economy of the world. According to The Spectator of London, this is worth thinking about, “If a naval blockade gave Beijing control of the export of Taiwan semiconductor industry,” which is huge, “then Western leaders would find themselves beholden to China to keep their economies going. Russia’s use of gas to dampen West Western opposition to its actions in Ukraine would be dwarfed by China’s ability to hold the world ransom through control of Taiwan’s chips.”

In other words, if we went to war with China (and we’re moving in that direction), the Chinese could simply turn off our economy because our people in charge of our country have made no preparations for this. The Chinese government could prevent us from having, I don’t know, cars that run, refrigerators, cell phones, computers. They would also be able to stop exports of antibiotics. According to the Council on Foreign Relations, Chinese pharmaceutical companies supply more than 90% of American antibiotics as well as ibuprofen, take Advil, vitamin C, hydrocortisone, which treats asthma and arthritis. China supplies more than 70% of acetaminophen, often called Tylenol. What else does China make? Well, China makes everything, for example, you need to transport goods across the country. China produces 96% of the world’s shipping containers. They make 80% of the cranes that carry cargo from the ship to the dock.

So, because this has been coming at us in slow motion for a decade and a half and no one’s done anything about it, we find ourselves right now August 1, 2022, incapable of winning a war against China. If this goes forward, we will lose and yet, for some reason, the Biden administration has allowed Nancy Pelosi to go over there to provoke a military confrontation with China. Is there any other explanation other than they are rooting for the destruction of the United States? If there is one, text us. Some Republicans, by the way, are for this. They’re for all war. Mike Gallagher, who represents Wisconsin, just said, “I think it would be in keeping with that track record and very useful for American diplomacy and foreign policy for the speaker of the House to go to Taiwan.” Yeah, whatever. Steve Chabot, a Republican representing Ohio, agrees with that, “I think it’s important that we show solidarity with our ally, Taiwan,” he said.

Oh, okay. Are we in a position to show solidarity with our ally, Taiwan? And how far are we willing to take this? China has a lot of nuclear weapons. How does that factor into the equation? They’re threatening it, so you think our leaders do have a response. Karine Jean Pierre has no idea what’s going on, which is why today the White House put the Pentagon spokesman, John Kirby, at the podium and here’s what John Kirby said.

PHILIP WEGMANN: I guess I’m wondering, why did the president bother with this from the beginning? I mean, why not, rather than saying the military doesn’t think it’s a good idea to go, why not call the Chinese bluff or tell them to pound sand when they started bellyaching about the possibility of this trip, given, as you pointed out, there’s no change in policy and there is precedent for Pelosi to Taiwan.

    KIRBY: So, what’s the drama?

PHILIP WEGMANN: Have you been around the last couple of weeks? I mean, there’s been this question of whether or not.

KIRBY: Yeah, I’ve been here the last couple of weeks. I haven’t seen any drama. I think you’re manufacturing it with your question.

So oily. “I think you’re manufacturing drama with your question,” says the Pentagon press secretary, after China has threatened to shoot down the speaker of the House, to kill the speaker of the House. “I think you’re manufacturing drama.” No, the drama’s inherent. So again, what the hell is going on? This seems like a systematic attempt to end the United States. How does the U.S. conceivably benefit from a war over Taiwan right now? There are probably pretty good reasons to prepare for war with China, which may be inevitable, but that’s not one of them.”

“Someone has been caused anxiety based on your social media post. That is why you have been arrested.””

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2022/08/british-veteran-arrested-for-causing-anxiety-after-sharing-swastika-made-out-of-progress-pride-flags-on-social-media/

“The Hampshire Police arrested veteran Darren Brady, 51, for allegedly “causing anxiety” when he retweeted a swastika made out of the progress pride flag.”

    —-

“The Hampshire Constabulary justified the arrest because “they were prevented from entering the address to discuss a potential resolution to the matter.”

Except…that’s not what the police told Brady. From The Daily Mail:

In the video, shot on a mobile phone, Mr Brady can be heard asking the three police officers: ‘Why am I in cuffs?’

One officer responds: ‘It didn’t have to come to this at all.’
Mr Brady replied: ‘Tell us why you escalated it to this level because I don’t understand.’

The officer adds: ‘Someone has been caused anxiety based on your social media post. That is why you have been arrested.’

Laurence Fox, an actor and now campaigner, first shared the picture on Twitter He explained that “the image reflected his belief that LGBT pride month ‘is enforced with a sense of hectoring authoritarianism.’”

Twitter froze Fox’s account. A London Assembly member demanded the police investigate him.

Police and Crime Committee in the Greater London Authority member Caroline Russell said: “I hope the Met Police will look into Laurence Fox using pride flags to create nazi imagery and posting the images on a public platform. This is a hate crime.”

The officers also arrested former police officer Harry Miller when he tried to stop them from arresting Brady. Miller has had some run-ins with the Hampshire Police, too:

He told MailOnline: ‘Hampshire Police showed a blatant disregard of the law. They approached Mr Brady and acted as summary judge, jury and executioner – but didn’t know what offence he’d actually committed. They said he was being arrested for causing anxiety, which is utterly ridiculous!

‘Mr Brady is a British Army Veteran and they were trying to extort him for money by making him pay around £80 for educational course so he could downgrade from a crime to a non-crime, which would still show up in a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

‘They thought they could get away with it. It was the world’s worst shakedown.’

Commenting on the video circulating on Twitter, Mr Miller wrote: ‘I’d been locked up by this time and missed this exchange. I’m speechless.’

Mr Miller, who in December won a Court of Appeal challenge over police guidance on ‘hate incidents’, said police visited the man 10 days earlier and has informed him that he could take the option of attending an £80 education course to avoid being arrested and possibly charged with a criminal offence.

    “Education course.” My goodness.

Brady said on Twitter: “It’s nice to be able to enjoy a Sunday morning in peace without being harassed by Hampshire Police trying to extort money from me, or have me ‘re-educated’ for sharing a meme on the Internet.”

    “Re-educated.” My goodness.

Is the meme in poor taste? Yes. It’s still no excuse to arrest someone.”

  6. “Why Are There So Many Idiots in Politics?”

    https://townhall.com/columnists/derekhunter/2022/08/02/why-are-there-so-many-idiots-in-politics-n2611111

“You really have to wonder who ran against some of these morons in political office sometimes. Honestly, was the alternative to someone like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez being forced to step on a rusty nail? Was Eric Swalwell’s opponent a literal cannibal promising to consume children if elected? If you set out to elect some of the dumbest creatures to ever walk upright on the planet, you couldn’t do much better than what Democrats currently have serving in Congress and the White House. Why?

There is no good answer, at least one that covers everyone. There are, after all, a lot of really dumb Democrats in office. You have to ascribe some of it to identity politics, which is the polite way of saying racism, but the rest of it has to be tied to people’s desires to be pandered and lied to. A fish swallows a hook because it wants the worm, dumb people see pandering the way a fish sees that worm.

Look, there have always been, and will always be, dumb people in the world. But you don’t give them power the way Democrats have. You hold them off with promises and distract them with shiny objects because they’re stupid.

Democrats, however, have run out of smart people to convince anymore – the emperor has no clothes, or more accurately the President has no brain cells. People are seeing what the party has become.

The best, and perhaps only good thing to come out of COVID is parent’s paid attention to what their kids were learning in school. Not their lesson plans, which good parents always paid attention to, but the stuff in between, the parts where gender is allegedly a mystery and fluid. Where sexuality is more important than math, and a new gender is born every 20 minutes and “bird” can be a pronoun.

If you wonder how there are so many idiots out there electing Democrats all you have to do is notice that we have a publicly funded factory churning out morons through a painstaking 13-year process of indoctrination.

COVID allowed parents to see behind the curtain for the first time. Now they’re looking at everything through fresh eyes.

Joe Biden’s BS is being rejected by the public. Republicans need to smear that disgust for Biden over all Democrats, since they are of the same mind, and November will right the ship of state.

However, we will still be inundated with idiots, only this time in the minority.

Rashida Tlaib, who represents the district I grew up in, will win another 2 years, as will Cori Bush. They are two people who need to wear slip-on shoes because learning to tie a bow is a bridge too far for their mental abilities. Jamie Raskin isn’t going anywhere, him representing a district in a state so gerrymandered the map Democrats created looked like someone sneezed on a wet Rorschach test. It was so bad in Maryland a liberal judge tossed it out.

Yet, Democrats will remain a force no matter what happens in the election. Enough dumb people will be sending leftists to Washington because people who live in absolute pits of despair – Chicago’s south side, Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis – where the economy only works for Democrat power brokers and their politicians they enable, will vote for the same people who caused their economic problems under the guise of “the other side is worse.”

You have to be stupid to believe Republicans could be worse than what Democrats are in these communities. If you tried to destroy these cities, aside from literally bombing them from the air, it is hard to think of what you could do differently to make them worse than Democrats have in the name of “helping” people.”

  7. Enemy of the People was always an accurate description.

    https://townhall.com/columnists/kurtschlichter/2022/08/01/media-hacks-pout-as-republicans-treat-them-like-the-trash-they-are-n2611033

“The media is our enemy and it is wonderful to finally see Republicans treating reporters as what they are – digital vermin whose sole function is to shrimp the toes of the regime. There has been a rash of media handwringing because GOP superstars like Ron DeSantis are not allowing the media access to candidates or events. At the Sunshine Summit the other week in the Free State of Florida, Ruthless Ron and his superstar comms staff simply refused to allow the mutants in. Dave Weigel, apparently back on the job after his utter humiliation at the hands of some fussy girls at WaPo, was rejected and ejected and sat outside the velvet rope away from the action.

    Good.

Our boy Brian Stelter – who is a potato – was tweeting about how the GOP was not talking to reporters or coming on their shows. We can assume it is probably another attack on democracy or something. This tuber tirade should make us smile.

    Republicans are getting it. Finally.

For a while, the model was that glop of human Miracle Whip Mitt Romney, who was basically ritually disemboweled by the media during his hapless 2012 candidacy but now gets media hits because he will reliably hate on actual conservatives. We’re supposed to help them with their narrative, to assist them in promoting the donkey party line, but if we become a challenge we’re back to enemy status. John Fredo Cronyn got a little good press with his gun law sell-out, but now he’s the antichrist again.

Well, maybe that’s a bad analogy, since the media hate Christians and would think that was a compliment.

The media craves the respect and cooperation due an apolitical, neutral Fourth Estate dedicated to informing the citizenry, but it also wants the fun and rewards that come with slavishly repeating every regime talking point as if it was the objective truth. You cannot have that human petri dish of a president announce that we are not in a recession even though the literal definition of a recession is two quarters of negative growth, then nod vigorously that “Yes, of course the definition is not the definition, master” and expect us not to notice and hate you.

It’s especially fun when real journalists – aka Twitter randos who bother to actually research things instead of reading Democrat press memos – dig up old tweets where the same White House ventriloquist dummies were talking about a Trump recession because of two quarters of negative growth. And it’s best of all when the media hack explains that he was wrong back then, not now. He’ll be right again after 2024 though.

Have you ever noticed how all the media mistakes always go in one direction? It’s so weird.

The Republican refusal to cooperate with the media is a welcome beginning. Remember, the only reason the media interacts with conservatives is to attempt to cause damage to the GOP. Can they lie about a position? Make up a gaffe? Call the Republican a racist? The only reason a media figure ever has interview, quote or refer to a Republican is to harm the conservative movement. So give them nothing.

Of course, the game will be to put forward fake Republicans like whoever Alyssa Farrah is and the sexless neuters of The Bulwark. Of course, they can’t actually disagree with the left. You’ll get “The Conservatives Case for Abortion,” “The Conservative Case for Kamala,” and “The Conservative Case Against Conservatism.” But that’s different, and much less effective, than turning “Sure, I like George Washington” into “Republican Senator Joe Un-based Admits He Supports Slavery.”

The absence of the GOP in the media – no interviews, no comments, no appearances on their stupid shows – will have the effect of stripping away any pretense of balance and fairness. Now, that’s not important to us. We are based and fully understand that the media is our enemy. But normal people don’t. They need to see such overwhelming one-sidedness that they cannot deny or ignore it. We need to make the lib media race to the bottom until every talking head on MSNBC and every writer at WaPo is shouting her abortion – and his.”

“Collins, Murkowski, two Dems introduce bill that would reinstate Roe rules as federal law”

    https://hotair.com/allahpundit/2022/08/01/collins-murkowski-two-dems-introduce-bill-that-would-reinstate-roe-rules-as-federal-law-n486716

“I understand why Democrats would want to introduce this. And I understand why Murkowski would want to join them.

I’m less clear on why Susan Collins would. Unless she really is royally pissed at Brett Kavanaugh for allegedly having misled her about Roe in their private conversations and now feels obliged to try to make amends to the left somehow.

It’s not gonna work, if that’s the play. I have yet to see or hear a Democrat anywhere since Roe was overruled refer to Collins as anything other than a dupe or a liar for supporting Kavanaugh’s confirmation. Even Kamala Harris has shrugged off questions about whether Gorsuch or Kavanaugh should be impeached by saying that she simply didn’t believe them when they spoke encouragingly about stare decisis. The lefty line is that only a sucker or a secret pro-lifer could have thought they were on the level.

So here’s Collins trying to prove she’s not a secret pro-lifer, just a sucker, I guess.

Today, U.S. Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), and Susan Collins (R-ME) introduced the Reproductive Freedom For All Act. This legislation would enact in federal law the essential holdings of Roe v. Wade and related cases, protecting abortion rights and contraception access. This would undo the damage of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, and would enshrine in federal law the fundamental right to reproductive freedom.

“Every American should have autonomy over their own health care decisions, and the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs has made it imperative for Congress to restore women’s reproductive rights. I’m proud to introduce bipartisan legislation with my colleagues to write into law the protections provided through Roe and Casey as well as affirming access to contraception provided in Griswold and other cases,” said Senator Murkowski. “For five decades, reproductive health care decisions were centered with the individual – we cannot go back in time in limiting personal freedoms for women.”…

“The Supreme Court’s recent abandonment of longstanding precedent erodes the reproductive rights on which women have relied for half a century. These basic rights need to be the same for American women regardless of the state in which they reside. Our bill would restore the right to obtain an abortion by enacting in federal law Roe v. Wade and other seminal Supreme Court decisions pertaining to reproductive freedom. In addition, our bill would protect access to contraception,” said Senator Collins. “By reinstating—neither expanding nor restricting—the longstanding legal framework for reproductive rights in this country, our bill would preserve abortion access along with basic conscience protections that are relied upon by health care providers who have religious objections.”

The so-called Reproductive Freedom For All Act differs in some ways from the Women’s Health Protection Act, which passed the House a few weeks ago. Notably, it upholds conscience protections for medical personnel who don’t want to participate in abortions; the WHPA would weaken those protections, which is why Collins wouldn’t support it. The guts of the bill, which will take you less than two minutes to read, would reinstate the federal status quo that was stripped away by the Dobbs ruling by barring states from placing any “undue burden” (defined vaguely as “a substantial obstacle in the path of a woman”) on the right to have an abortion before a fetus is viable. “Undue burden” comes from the Supreme Court’s now-overruled Casey decision and the viability standard comes from Roe. Just a return to the law as it stood six weeks ago, then, right?

Well, hold on. The WHPA allows abortion on demand pre-viability and then abortion after viability when “in the good-faith medical judgment of the treating health care provider, continuation of the pregnancy would pose a risk to the pregnant patient’s life or health.” Pro-lifers warn that that’s a loophole big enough to drive a tank through, particularly because the WHPA also instructs judges to interpret its provisions “liberally.” If a woman goes to Planned Parenthood in her third trimester and says she’s bummed out that she’s having a baby, is that enough of a “health” concern (depression!) to justify an immediate termination? If it is, then the WHPA does much more than just codify Roe. It creates a de facto rule of abortion on demand throughout all nine months.

So what does the new bill backed by Collins and Murkowski say? Quote:”

  12. The president has authority over the DC National Guard. The mayor can say what s/he wants but the buck stops at the presidency. No amount of whitewash by various agencies who scewed up will change the fact that the presidential admin is responsible for the DC national guard and the DOD, Pentagon, Miller, etc all failed to properly secure the capital.

The MAGA vs Ultra Elite narrative can’t be taken seriously, esp when the latter is described as leftist. Seriously, how is the economic elite even remotely leftist? Both groups named here are just two different groups who want to pillage the vanishing middle class for whatever money is leftover.

In other news, Trump buried his ex wife in his golf course and will receive a tax break for it. What a class act; using his ex wife’s death to get a tax break – his kids should be proud. Pause for thought, how is a real estate mogul owning multiple golf courses not part of the Elite?

Ignoring the media actually worked for a short while for Canada’s Conservative party – they only talk to small town weeklies and the National Post. However, it was short term success. The Republicans will find out the same thing, although the press in the US is more centrist and right of centre than Canada. You ignore and belittle people at your peril.

The swastika is free speech in the US and to a certain extent in Canada. In most of Europe it is banned and has been since WWII. When you are making swastikas out of pride flags, you will capture police attention in Europe, as North Americans we may find it an overkill but this has been the case for decades in Europe. I was amused that the report kept calling the person a veteran as if that made a positive difference (although it may help the leftist narrative that the military is full of Nazis)

  13. I keep reading condemnation of the media by the American right and then I read a Tucker Carlson monologue, at least journalists can create a coherent opinion. I have no idea what the focus or topic is in that monologue. If a student handed this in, I’d tell him to rewrite it with a more singular focus.

We’ve already discussed the declining enrollment and it has nothing to do with wokeness. Even the Russians whose recruitment video are all macho have difficulty finding recruits. Demographics and urbanization are the chief problems. As for the quality of recruits, again the Russians suffer the same problem – but they still use a “cannon fodder” strategy so I guess it doesn’t matter. The US recruits in WWII were also bad in terms of fitness, general health, and education. Hence, the military became an advocate for a welfare state and stong public education in the post WWII era. And they will probably do the same again – it’s in the national self interest.

The only degrading of the military I read and see is from the Republican party and their supporters. With constant complaints about the military’s social policies, its they that degrade the military. And when you fist bump after voting down spending on veterans, why would anyone join the military. As some have pointed out, the Republicans love the war machine but not the people in it.

And from the above topic, Carlson goes off on a tirade about China. The manufacturing dominance of the Chinese is nothing new – it began during the Reagan era and each subsequent admin has very little to change. Even Trump continues to outsource his manufacturing. Carlson is somewhat contraidictory — Biden’s too weak with China, Pelosi though is provoking China, and despite the non-recognition of Taiwan is standard US policy since Nixon this is somehow new and weak?

Just a bizarre rant — if you have an opinion, give evidence, be consisten and stay on topic.

  14. There are dumb politicians in both parties….Greene, Boebert, etc And then there are Jordan and Gaetz…… There are dumb democrats and some who should retire — Pelosi and Schumer, perhaps but AOC is not the dumb one in the party.

And why do the dumb ones keep getting elected — gerrymandering. And will the Republicans ever solve that problem – no, because its the only way they can win the House with their present policies or lack of policy. And yes, the Democrats gerrymanded but this article can’t whine about Democrats unless he sees the same problem with Republicans.

Mulkowski and Collins support the abortion bill for precisely the reasons I gave yesterday — the math is on the pro-choice side. Speaking of journalistic integrity; whoever wrote that article criticizes Collins on the basis of the House bill not the Senate version she is voting for.

It’s highly doubtful that American schools are a cesspool. For a cesspool, they are doing a good job teaching reading and science according to international test results, with results comparable to most European countries. There is a slight lag in math though. Given the poor treatment of the teaching profession in the US esp in certain areas, this is surprisingly good. You have to wonder how much better they would do if education and teachers were given the respect they receive in East Asia and northern Europe.

The FBI is corrupt and political? Shocking! I’m sure cointerpol was just an amusing urban myth. Please, this isn’t news — they’ve protected the status quo since the FBI was formed; its their mandate hence they’ve harassed leftists ever since the Palmer Raids (even before the FBI was formed)

  16. HRW, a couple corrections of fact:

    1. …the non-recognition of Taiwan is standard US policy since Nixon…

Actually since Carter. Nixon visited Communist China and pulled nukes from Taiwan, but Taiwan remained officially recognized as the government of China until 1979.

    2. …whoever wrote that article criticizes Collins on the basis of the House bill not the Senate version she is voting for.

Their criticism was that the Senate version is as expansive as the House bill. There is a poorly-written paragraph that flips back and forth between the House and Senate acts, so I can understand why you would mis-read that. But the text quoted at the end is indeed from the Senate’s Reproductive Freedom for All Act, supporting their contention that the Senate act is no better than the House act, except for better conscience protections.

  18. Kevin – thanks, I always thought Nixon did everything. I suppose this will be one more thing people will use to beat up on Carter. In any case, Biden’s policy is nothing new. And I really don’t think any US gov’t actions have an effect on Xi’s leadership and policy. China is bleeding the young middle class professionals – since Xi became head of state the number of asulym seekers has increased by six times. Business travel and emigration to places around the world has also increased. Xi needs to bang the nationalist drum in order to maintain order.

Russia faces a similar problem – Armenia, Georgia, and Turkey are full of Russian young people waiting out the war and/or trying to go to the west. Those with money are going to countries with slack student visa programs (incl Canada). The upper middle class does not like authoritarian regimes. Nationalism is one of the means, authoritarians use to keep people loyal, it doesn’t matter who is the US president.

I caught the end of the article which suggests the Senate version was changed to satisfy Collins and Murkowski. However, it did imply Collins approved of the House version and if I misread it, it proves my other point today – journalism and the media are still necessary since the amateurs who run blogs and vent their opinions can’t write cohernetly (see Tucker Carlson’s article)
