Prayer Requests 7-5-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 140

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

Rescue me, Lord, from evildoers;
    protect me from the violent,
who devise evil plans in their hearts
    and stir up war every day.
They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s;
    the poison of vipers is on their lips.

Keep me safe, Lord, from the hands of the wicked;
    protect me from the violent,
    who devise ways to trip my feet.
The arrogant have hidden a snare for me;
    they have spread out the cords of their net
    and have set traps for me along my path.

I say to the Lord, “You are my God.”
    Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy.
Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer,
    you shield my head in the day of battle.
Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord;
    do not let their plans succeed.

Those who surround me proudly rear their heads;
    may the mischief of their lips engulf them.
10 May burning coals fall on them;
    may they be thrown into the fire,
    into miry pits, never to rise.
11 May slanderers not be established in the land;
    may disaster hunt down the violent.

12 I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor
    and upholds the cause of the needy.
13 Surely the righteous will praise your name,
    and the upright will live in your presence.

  1. Please pray for Irvin who is having mental issues after being stabilized for years. He loves the Lord. I know this must be very distressing for him and the staff and residents in his assisted living place.

  2. Rejoice with us.

    This summer we funded the Adorable quartet (12, 11, 10, and nearly 9) for a week at our local Christian camp. (Two groups of two each. The older duo went to Junior High Camp–such a thrill).

    They had a fantastic time, surprising the most nervous mom, and Adorable 11 gave her heart to the Lord.

    Probably the best use of our money in 2022.

  3. So sorry to hear about Irvin. May God help those who help him. May a good new normal be quickly established if necessary.

    Thankful about the camp news, M. And the camp my church sponsered this past week saw four more salvations. Baptisms next week. PTL!

    Lifting up unsaved loved ones in our blog families.

    My friend, K, has again developed interest in reading the Bible. Please pray I can help her to discover what is blocking her from doing so. She is so conflicted. We need a breakthrough. Tears are involved so her heart seems so sincere. We’ve been on this same circular path for years.

  4. Praying!

    And camp!!!! So important for so many children. When I listen to testimonies prior to baptism, almost 80% mention camp as a part of their spiritual journey – whether it’s where they were first introduced or where they committed their lives to Jesus. I am so blessed to work in this ministry. I love being able to do all the behind the scenes stuff to enable them to come to camp. I think we will be helping to send our grandblessings to camp in the future.
