Prayer Requests 6-16-22

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG. Also that she has a safe and uneventful trip back home.

Anyone else?

Psalm 124

A song of ascents. Of David.

If the Lord had not been on our side—
    let Israel say—
if the Lord had not been on our side
    when people attacked us,
they would have swallowed us alive
    when their anger flared against us;
the flood would have engulfed us,
    the torrent would have swept over us,
the raging waters
    would have swept us away.

Praise be to the Lord,
    who has not let us be torn by their teeth.
We have escaped like a bird
    from the fowler’s snare;
   the snare has been broken,
    and we have escaped.
Our help is in the name of the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

  1. Traveling mercies and protections both in the air and down on land times! Great encounters with fellow passengers and service providers. May devices keep working and charged so you have good communication. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  2. Praying for good goodbyes as some are coming out to aviation.
    Just found out my renters won’t be out until the 10th of July.
    Good thing God has a plan as I don’t, but He is faithful.
    Still dark here.

    When Nightingale told me about her plans for her and Boy to go away for a few days at the end of this month, I asked her to please put Janie in a boarding kennel for that time. Then, when the time was getting closer, and she was telling me about the exact dates and such, I reiterated that. She seemed annoyed, but I had to ask for that.

    She hasn’t said anything about that, and it is getting to be about a week away, so I sent her a text today asking if she had made a “reservation” for Janie yet. (No response yet, but she is working so may not have had time yet.) And I know that that is going to annoy her, but I am also hoping that if she hasn’t made that arrangement, this will prompt her to do so. Please say a prayer that she will get right on that, if she hasn’t already. I need my break, too.

  4. Please pray for Barb. She has had a muscle degenerative disease for a few years now. Her husband is her sole helper pretty much. One son lives in another state and one in another country doing mission work. She is close to hospice now and doing very poorly. She is a believer as is her husband. They also ran a parachurch ministry for their whole lives. She still has a great attitude and knows her final destination. She cannot talk, cough, blow her nose and countless other things.
