Prayer Requests 5-28-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 119:1-16

א Aleph

Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
    who walk according to the law of the Lord.
Blessed are those who keep his statutes
    and seek him with all their heart—
they do no wrong
    but follow his ways.
You have laid down precepts
    that are to be fully obeyed.
Oh, that my ways were steadfast
    in obeying your decrees!
Then I would not be put to shame
    when I consider all your commands.
I will praise you with an upright heart
    as I learn your righteous laws.
I will obey your decrees;
    do not utterly forsake me.

ב Beth

How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
    By living according to your word.
10 I seek you with all my heart;
    do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
    that I might not sin against you.
12 Praise be to you, Lord;
    teach me your decrees.
13 With my lips I recount
    all the laws that come from your mouth.
14 I rejoice in following your statutes
    as one rejoices in great riches.
15 I meditate on your precepts
    and consider your ways.
16 I delight in your decrees;
    I will not neglect your word.

  1. Prayer that our children and grandchildren might take these words to heart and come to know the One who is all-sovereign and all-loving.

  2. Praying for all the lost sheep, the children who never got on board with Jesus or who dropped off along the way, may they feel the undeniable pulling close of God. May they begin to see Jesus in new light as irresistable. May all their defenses be acknowledged as obstacles and hindrances to the good life. May they no longer believe lies. God, please let them draw close never to stray any more. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. We attended Granddaughter’s HS graduation last night. We sang the National Anthem then recited the pledge of allegiance….as the flag was at half mast. I was a teary mess realizing there were children never to graduate being laid to rest this week. Teachers killed as they were most likely trying to protect them during the horrific scene then losing their lives as well. Praying for our nation, our leaders (which is difficult for me right now) and for people to awaken to what truly matters in this life….knowing Him.

  4. As Chickadee has been a bit more open about her life, I am realizing that she is more deluded and confused than I realized. (Although, she does not realize that she is confused, I don’t think.) Please pray for clarity (that’s the word that comes to mind right now, but others can apply, too) to come to her, especially about God, but also about her gender and sexuality. May the realization come upon her that she is indeed a woman, and may acceptance come along with that, and even peace.

    It has not escaped my notice that her anxiety and depression deepened as these delusions grew in her.

  5. Father God, You know the deceptions involved in Chickadee’s life, both those from her own imaginings and from the imaginings fed to her by faulty thinking from others. Please do a great work in her to set her straight according to Your purposes for her as You made her to be. Please help her aching heart. Please help her mom’s aching heart. I pray for new Christian influences to engage with her and put her on Your path. Please dismantle any spirital strongholds and bonds that the evil one is using to keep her from loving Jesus with her whole heart, mind, and soul. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  6. I just heard our godson and nephew had a type of stroke–not in his brain but affecting his legs. He is doing better already. He is only in his forties. Not sure if he really knows the Lord or not in spite of his Christian schooling. Pray for Eric, please.

  7. Praying for Eric, may the seeds planted bear fruit.

    Prayer for us and for Florida. Husband was planning to head home this week and be replaced by step mom’s daughter and then his sister but that has fallen apart so I am encouraging him to just stay. He is not much of a nurturer care taker, but he is a wonderful provider and they need providing. They both trust him and like him so it makes sense. And is less costly than flying back and forth across the country. So prayer for him to be patient and attentive and rested and ready. Pray for us to carry on without him for a while. We have support here so I can probably leave sixteen with my friends and they will see he does the chores on the days I need to head up to Moscow for a few days.
