Good morning! It’s a super rainy morning in Georgia. Pounding rain. Not good for rush hour. At least Art did not leave in the worst of it, but no telling how long it will be before he gets to work.
Miss Bosley wants extra cuddle and purr time this morning.
Have a blessed day, Wanderersirs and Wandererettes!
Monday. The world looks down on Monday because it’s the beginning of the work week. Work in and of itself is good, but because of Adam’s sin, it is laborious. So, few people like work and hate Mondays because of it.
But if it weren’t Monday, the work week would begin on another day. So, enjoy the day and remember:
“This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!” Psalm 118:24
Morning all! I love you reference Janice…sirs and ettes… Chas certainly would have chuckled!! 😊
That nuthatch? Up there with food in it’s mouth certainly is an image we see around here much of the time. Since the snow and freeze we had this weekend we are seeing many with moths in their beaks. Of course Pip loves catching and eating those pesky moths too! We are in hopes that this weather will wipe them out or at the very least send the remaining packing to far off lands! How we dread this time of year with millions of them migrating to our area. But it is “good eating” for the birds!
Your theme song brought tears to my eyes, Peter. It sure is true for us, as well.
It was nice to hear the wedding went so well, 6, and about the special music. Such blessings!
Good morning. I have lots of plants sitting on my table to protect them from the cold. They should be able to go out on the deck today to await planting. If I don’t buy them early, I won’t get what I want. If all people were sensible, they would wait to buy until the ground and weather are actually conducive to planting. We shouldn’t plant before Memorial Day, and we can have frosts until well into June. The weekend was very cold. The green is here, though, and wonderful. Trees are just leafing out. Lovely after the long winter.
Studying in the Psalms with the online group. Someone posted this video for Psalm 1 which is very nice. I did not know of this group doing scripture memory songs:
Sometimes Twitter offers something much richer than all the mindless back-and-forth nonsense. You just have to dig to find it.
It may support thy heart, to consider that in adversity, God is performing that work in which thy soul would rejoice, if thou didst see the design of it.
A very large brown grasshopper attached itself to the rear door on my car. He rode to a doctor’s appointment with me, waited until I was done, and then came home with me. He was still on the car when I parked it out front.
Got a wonderful picture of my class yesterday with everyone smiling. I told them that the picture was for them and then put it on the cover of a book, but then decided it was too good to be the cover. Anyway, it will be laminated as a gift for each of them. I have two pictures. One is silly and was taken last fall on school picture day. Since then we have lost four students and gained three. So we needed two pictures. I put their names on the back. I knew the book idea would mean they had to carry the book around to look at the picture. So today we will draw a picture of a lion to put on the cover. Inside are all of the animal pictures that we made for each letter of the alphabet.
We also got a great, silly picture yesterday. I put that one on Facebook.
I sent an email to 6th Arrow’s guitar teacher, thanking him for the great job he’s doing with her. 3rd Arrow said that her brother-in-law, who was the other guitarist on the mother-son dance song, was amazed at how well she could play already, less than a year after beginning lessons.
Apparently, in one of their practices, he would purposely periodically stop playing, “strumming” with the pick not quite striking the strings, only looking like he was playing, just to hear the sound she was producing! And she knew how to do all the chords.
That was her first time playing for an audience, and there were over 100 people there! So I also thanked her teacher for helping her build up her skill level and confidence to be able to do such a thing.
We had two neighbor couples over tonight for pizza and great conversation. It’s raining every so lightly and the scent of fresh air and pine is delightful! Such a lovely evening….and Pip enjoyed getting treats from everyone…she behaved very well….
Speaking of thank you notes, I want to thank all of you again for the prayers you’ve offered up for our family over the last few months — well, and all of them over the years, but especially lately.
We had a dizzying array of things going on this spring. 6th Arrow’s Confirmation in the faith; 3rd Arrow’s bridal shower and wedding; 5th Arrow’s testing. And my getting covid in the middle of it all and having to reschedule many lessons, etc. etc.
We needed a lot of prayer, and I thank you for doing so.
The major events are past; I have one day of make-up lessons yet to do, and more things to arrange as we contemplate 5th’s diagnoses and how we will move forward with him.
But it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders now, and that God in His grace has brought us through a challenging but blessed season.
Greetings! I am so happy to hear the wedding went well for 6 and her family. I am envious to hear reports of rain. I am thankful that you are getting moisture. I can report that we have finally seen a cloud in the sky this evening on the way to work. Much better than howling wind and smoke.

Good morning, all, except good night, Jo, although it is nearly Tuesday morning there.

Snow?
Not here. 🙂
We’ve been in the 90’s the last 2 days. 🙂
A little too hot, but better than snow…. or moths…. 😲

I dislike moths. And heat.
Too bad, right?
We remain cool and overcast here this week, stuck around 70 degrees on the coast. May Gray will blend into June Gloom.
Then the sun and warmups will come with July, the excessive heat with August-September-maybe November
Will we get a rainy season this year?

The rain cleared up for us to deliver 8 boxes of donated books to CLI Prison Ministry. So happy that we had that dry window of opportunity.

Pictures are fun to look back on. Pictures with names (and year) are treasures.

Giant grasshopper was car surfing, riding on the outside edge of the back-seat car door and enjoying (I presume) the breeze in his wings.

The grasshopper probably screamed in terror the whole ride. You just couldn’t hear him. 😕
