  1. All authoritarian govts need a propaganda machine.

And our biased media provides it.

“Exclusive: The federal government paid hundreds of media companies to advertise the COVID-19 vaccines while those same outlets provided positive coverage of the vaccines”

“In response to a FOIA request filed by TheBlaze, HHS revealed that it purchased advertising from major news networks including ABC, CBS, and NBC, as well as cable TV news stations Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC, legacy media publications including the New York Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post, digital media companies like BuzzFeed News and Newsmax, and hundreds of local newspapers and TV stations. These outlets were collectively responsible for publishing countless articles and video segments regarding the vaccine that were nearly uniformly positive about the vaccine in terms of both its efficacy and safety.

Hundreds of news organizations were paid by the federal government to advertise for the vaccines as part of a “comprehensive media campaign,” according to documents TheBlaze obtained from the Department of Health and Human Services. The Biden administration purchased ads on TV, radio, in print, and on social media to build vaccine confidence, timing this effort with the increasing availability of the vaccines. The government also relied on earned media featuring “influencers” from “communities hit hard by COVID-19” and “experts” like White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci and other academics to be interviewed and promote vaccination in the news.

Though virtually all of these newsrooms produced stories covering the COVID-19 vaccines, the taxpayer dollars flowing to their companies were not disclosed to audiences in news reports, since common practice dictates that editorial teams operate independently of media advertising departments and news teams felt no need to make the disclosure, as some publications reached for comment explained.

The Biden administration engaged in a massive campaign to educate the public and promote vaccination as the best way to prevent serious illness or death from COVID-19.
Congress appropriated $1 billion in fiscal year 2021 for the secretary of health to spend on activities to “strengthen vaccine confidence in the United States.” Federal law authorizes HHS to act through the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other agencies to award contracts to public and private entities to “carry out a national, evidence-based campaign to increase awareness and knowledge of the safety and effectiveness of vaccines for the prevention and control of diseases, combat misinformation about vaccines, and disseminate scientific and evidence-based vaccine-related information, with the goal of increasing rates of vaccination across all ages … to reduce and eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases.”

Anyone who has spent time reading the news, watching TV news coverage, or browsing social media in the past year has more than likely been exposed to the government’s advertising. HHS ads posted to YouTube have been viewed millions of times and commercials featuring celebrities like singer Sir Elton John and actor Sir Michael Caine have been the subject of news coverage, such as this feature from NBC News:”

“Fear-based vaccine ads” from HHS featuring “survivor” stories from coronavirus patients who were hospitalized in intensive care units were covered by CNN and discussed on ABC’s “The View” when they were unveiled last October.”

This is what a media desperate for cash because their product sucks resort too.

  2. What?

The media pushed lies you say?

“Barr Tells Off NBC: Mueller Investigation ‘Was A Lie Which the Media Pushed’”

“Appearing on NBC’s Today show for a live interview Monday morning to promote his new book, former Attorney General Bill Barr called out the left-wing media for pushing the “lie” that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election. He also defended his decision to accurately summarize the nothing-burger findings of the Mueller investigation in 2019 regarding the “phony scandal.”

“You decided when Robert Mueller chose not to analyze whether there was criminality on obstruction, you decided, ‘I’m attorney general, I’m going to make the decision,” co-host Savannah Guthrie lamented as she pressed Barr on the now-debunked Trump-Russia collusion narrative. The anchor whined: “And you acknowledge in the book, you thought it was a phony scandal. So you took that decision upon yourself. Why did you do that?””

Barr responded by ripping the dishonest premise of the investigation: “Well, it is a phony scandal. And people, in talking about the big lie after the election, forget that there was a big lie before – you know, at the beginning of the Trump administration.”

As Guthrie continued to bemoan Barr’s rejection of the Mueller probe, he pointed out how political it was from the beginning: “The reason he [Mueller] was selected by Rod Rosenstein was to give the appearance that there was no partisanship and then he went out and hired a lot of partisan Democrats. And so half the country didn’t have confidence in what was going on.”

Following Guthrie’s complaint that Barr behaved like a Trump “defense lawyer,” the former attorney general hit back hard: “It was a lie. It was a lie which the media pushed. It was a feeding frenzy that hobbled the administration and was unfair to the President and I dealt with it accordingly.”

The live interview on Today followed a one-hour taped special aired on NBC Sunday night in which Barr was interviewed by Nightly News anchor Lester Holt in a similarly contentious exchange.”

They seem unhappy that Barr has outed them.

  3. While Biden dithered, Putin slithered…. into Ukraine.

“It is said that in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. So it was last week when America ran out of ideas for helping the suffering souls in Ukraine.

It was then that Sen. Lindsey Graham broke the brain freeze by calling for the assassination of Vladimir Putin.

“Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military?” the South Carolina Republican tweeted, referring to Julius Caesar’s assassin and a German officer who tried to kill Hitler. “The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country — and the world — a great service.”

His thought, which he repeated several times, is almost certainly a common one around the world, but it was a no-no for a top government official to say it out loud, which is why the White House, the Kremlin and both Democrats and Republicans rebuked him. After all, encouraging assassinations is the sort of thing that can quickly get out of hand.

Yet the heated attention Graham attracted highlighted something else, too. Namely, that although the White House and NATO are thoroughly disgusted by the wanton slaughter of innocents and the destruction of a modern European nation by a savage invader, they’re also willing to let it happen.

    Fatal flaw in sanctions
The proof is that not a single idea advanced by the West, from bank sanctions to sending Ukraine some defense weapons to seizing the yachts of Russian oligarchs, has one chance in a thousand of stopping Putin’s war machine. The efforts may prolong the fighting but won’t change the outcome.

Because both Europe and the United States are addicted to Russian oil, the sanctions steered clear of Mad Vlad’s energy business, a compromise that guts the ostensible aim of making it too painful for him to continue.

In effect, those calling for an end to the war are also financing its continuation. “

  4. Punish him and his party. They did this.

    “The Biden Inflation Octopus

In the end it doesn’t matter whether Biden was deluded or diabolical. Come November, Americans will rightfully blame him for willfully damaging their lives.”

“The Democrats will suffer historic losses in the November midterms.

This disaster for their party will come about not just because of the Afghanistan debacle, an appeased Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, the destruction of the southern border, the supply chain mess, or their support for critical race theory demagoguery.

The culprit for the political wipeout will be out-of-control inflation—and for several reasons.

First, the Biden Administration is in such denial of inflation that it sounds to Americans simply callous and indifferent to the misery it has unleashed.

Biden officials have scoffed at price spikes as “transitory.” Or they have preposterously claimed spiraling costs are a concern only to the elite. They blame the Ukraine crisis. Or they fault the out-of-office bogeyman, Donald Trump.

The administration assures us that consumer prices are only rising at an annualized rate of 7.5 percent—as if the steepest increase in 40 years actually is not all that bad.

Yet the middle class knows that inflation is far worse when it comes to the stuff of life: buying a house, car, gas, meat, or lumber.

Second, inflation is an equal opportunity destroyer of dreams. It undermines rich and poor, Democrats and Republicans, conservatives and liberals. It unites all tribes, all ideologies, all politics against those who are perceived to have birthed the monstrous octopus that squeezes everything and everyone it touches.

The conservative passbook holder sees his meager life savings eaten away. The liberal teacher’s car payments stretch from six to 10 years.

The prospective Republican home buyer sees his hard-earned potential down payment eaten away each month. The Democratic carpenter feels his new higher wages buy even less.

Third, inflation is ubiquitous, inescapable, omnipotent—and humiliating. It destroys personal dignity. And its toxicity is insidious, sort of like seeping, odorless, colorless, but nevertheless lethal carbon monoxide.

Unlike now-unpopular critical race theory, it cannot be avoided for a day. You cannot tune it out like one does the mess in Afghanistan or the now nonexistent southern border. Inflation attacks everyone in 24/7, 360-degree fashion.

It belittles you at the gas station. It downsizes you at the food market. It humiliates you in the obscene real estate market. It makes you look stupid when you are paying for a new car. It ridicules you when you buy lumber. Suddenly you apologize that you really cannot afford your child’s braces.

Fourth, inflation undermines a civil and ordered society. It unleashes a selfish “every man for himself” mentality, the Hobbesian cruelty of a “war of all against all.”

Inflation is the economic and emotional equivalent of smash-and-grab or carjacking. It is a brazen robber in broad daylight that so infuriates Americans by its boldness. It convinces them their very civilization is dying. “

  5. Another one falls to the toxic culture of the left.

“Christian University Bans Professor From Campus For Critiquing Its Dive Into ‘Equity’ And ‘Inclusion’”

“Aprofessor was locked out of his classes and email account without warning in apparent retaliation for criticizing his Christian university’s use of “diversity” and “equity” as criteria for selecting its new president, he and several witnesses told The Federalist.

The Rev. Dr. Greg Schulz was immediately and indefinitely suspended from his classes at Concordia University Wisconsin and banned from campus by interim college President William Cario on Feb. 18, a Friday. That was not formally conveyed to Schulz, however, until his lawyer obtained the suspension letter on Feb. 22, Schulz’s Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty attorney Dan Lennington told The Federalist.

“They told him to ‘recant’ in a memo that they never gave him,” Lennington said in a phone call. Lennington also noted his public interest law firm, which won a high-profile 2016 academic freedom case in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, has “never heard of something like this” swift ejection of a professor from campus for publicly expressing his views.

Schulz found out about his suspension and campus ban from colleagues after he couldn’t log into his work email on the weekend, said Schulz and his department chair, Dr. Angus Menuge. Menuge said Schulz’s suspension meant that colleagues, several already teaching double courseloads amid a hiring freeze, had to suddenly pick up all of Schulz’s classes.

“I have since contacted the president and asked him to reconsider and I have received no response whatsoever,” Menuge told The Federalist by phone on March 4. Menuge described the suspension as “extraordinarily draconian” and “Kafka-esque” because of not only the reasons Schulz was suspended but also how it was managed.

“Are we being told that you have to mute your Christianity so that it conforms to these ideologies of niceness and all of it? If so, that has a chilling effect on not only academic freedom but also on the Christian conscience,” Menuge said. Especially in a time when many Christians are feeling increasing pressure from cultural Marxism, and amid current efforts to encourage Concordia faculty to stay bold in their Christian scholarship, he said, “This is such an own goal, it really sets us back.”

Christians Not Happy About Their Institution Endorsing Racism
Concordia Wisconsin is a university of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, one of the United States’s largest Christian denominations, with approximately 1.8 million U.S. members. It has approximately 8,000 students, the majority of whom are not Lutherans. The university is located in Mequon, Wis., an upscale suburb of Milwaukee.

The institution with a $107 million annual budget gets significant income from federal student loans. Accepting those loans requires accreditation, which mandates racial policies at odds with Christian teachings about the equal and priceless value of all humans, who are created in God’s image.

Concordia Wisconsin has come under fire from many of its own pastors and members after instituting a Black Student Union and hiring a “director of multicultural engagement” in 2019. The Office of Multicultural Engagement that diversity officer oversees “strives to advance Concordia’s efforts to embed diversity as a transformational force,” according to its web page. That page also states the office trains faculty, staff, and students in “social identities, microaggressions, and implicit bias” and in being “culturally competent.”

The university’s Black Student Union recommends the fact-challenged and racially biased 1619 Project to students, as well as making purchases based on a vendor’s skin color. It also recommended author Ibram X. Kendi’s work. Kendi has stated, “The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.”

Following Schulz’s suspension, a local Lutheran congregation held a service praying and calling for repentance for the university’s departure from Christian teaching about racial equality.

A public petition to university leaders to reinstate Schulz and repent of publicly endorsing the “diversity, equity, and inclusion” ideology that encourages racial segregation had garnered more than 5,500 signatures as of March 6. Students also delivered their own petition of support for Schulz to Cario, although some are concerned that expressing such support could get them blacklisted and ostracized, Menuge said.”

  6. Let’s just call this what it is.

    This is evil.

  7. Harming our elections with Zuckerberg’s bucks.

And remember, this is just one state. His money went to many, many more.

“Mississippi Audit: Hundreds Of Thousands Of Mark Zuckerberg’s Election Funds Were Stolen And Misused”

“Three people were arrested in Mississippi in the last two weeks in another chapter in the story of the harm done to our elections by so-called “Zuckbucks,” this time with alleged embezzlement and fraudulent spending.

Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg poured millions into a nonprofit called the Center for Tech and Civic Life, or CTCL, in 2020. That nonprofit then gave more than $350 million in private funds to elections offices around the country. CTCL said its goal was to provide funding for the “safe administration” of elections during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Once the 2020 election was in the rearview, journalists and academics started turning over the stones of CTCL’s spending. What they found wasn’t pretty.

As The Federalist Editor-In-Chief Mollie Hemingway details in her book “Rigged,” CTCL focused its funding on Democratic counties (no surprise, given that CTCL’s leadership consisted of former Democratic staffers). While the money was supposed to be spent on pandemic-related items, Hemingway has written that much of it went to “measures that allowed elections offices to hire activists to work the election.”

That, of course, is just the spending we know about. CTCL “has been reluctant to share information about how its operation was run,” says Hemingway. Even when CTCL has described its spending, the Mississippi arrests show CTCL itself may not even know what they paid for or where it ended up.

    Theft of Election Funding
Here’s more of the story. Several months ago, the Mississippi Office of the State Auditor started investigating allegations of fraud at the Hinds County Elections Commission, an office that received $1.9 million in CTCL grants. Agents eventually discovered that election commissioners purchased two 85-inch Samsung televisions that never made it into the commission’s building. The TVs were allegedly bought to allow election workers to socially distance and still watch the 2020 results, but instead the TVs went to the homes of private individuals, including one commissioner.

Thousands of dollars worth of personal protective equipment also walked away. That, too, was found at a private residence. Fake invoices — one by a local movie production company and the other by a hairdresser’s LLC — were submitted for sanitizing buildings, Covid testing, and voting machine audits. The work described in the invoices was never done, but the people submitting the invoices were paid.

The total loss due to fraud in this case will tumble into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Also, to no one’s surprise, evidence shows that the culprits submitted false paperwork to CTCL describing how they were spending Zuckerberg’s money.”

And if these election officials will commit fraud like this, they’d commit election fraud too in order to get even more cash.

  8. This is condoning and pushing evil, just to make a buck.

Scum. Both the pharma companies and the schools who push this trash.

“Big Pharma Funds ‘Studies’ by Radical Transgender Activists Encouraging Transition Procedures for Children”

“Agroup of far-left “transgender” activists recently published a so-called “study” claiming that medical gender-transition procedures are safe for young children, after the group was paid to do so by large pharmaceutical companies that specialize in the production of hormone therapy medications.

The Daily Caller reports that Stanford University published a study on January 12th by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), a radical group which repeatedly encourages young children to undergo transition procedures in order to improve their mental health; as such, AACAP is an outspoken critic of recent laws passed in numerous Republican-led states to crack down on such procedures, which are often categorized as child abuse.

Stanford admitted in its press release on the study that the effort was financially supported by the pharmaceutical companies Arbor and Pfizer, both of which produce the kind of hormonal medications that are used to alter childrens’ behaviors when their parents try to “transition” them from one gender to another.

As such, the study by Stanford claimed to find “proof” that alleged “transgender” children who underwent transition procedures, such as surgeries and hormone blocking treatments, experienced an improvement in mental health compared to those who did not receive such treatment. Dr. Jack Turban, the study’s lead author, released a statement accompanying the publication of study declaring that the findings were “particularly relevant now because many state legislatures are introducing bills that would outlaw this kind of care for transgender youth.”

However, in an apparent conflict of interest, Turban had previously received an award from AACAP in May of 2019, when the group presented him with its “Pilot Research Award.”

Speaking out about the double standards and numerous conflicts of interest present in the study, California neurologist Dr. Diana Blum said that “if Pfizer is producing hormone therapies then of course there’s incentives to promote studies that push those. Even though things get published in academic journals, a lot of the funding comes from the pharmaceutical industry.”

Dr. Blum also commented on the flaws present in the study’s methodology. “This was not a double-blind placebo-controlled trial where you can actually say they tested a hypothesis and here’s the conclusion and here’s why you know it’s valid,” she continued. “The Stanford study used surveys. Right off the bat there are confounding variables never taken into account and thus inappropriate conclusions and generalizations are made that may not apply to the patient population studied.””

  9. Fact: Joe and his mandates built this.

Axios never gets around to that, and just blames Covid. But Covid mandates exacerbated this problem.

    Enjoy suckers.

“The health worker shortage is starting to get real for Americans”

“More than half of all Americans say they’ve directly felt the effects of health care worker shortages, from canceled appointments to delayed surgeries, according to results from a CVS Health-Harris Poll National Health project provided to Axios.

Why it matters: Americans are starting to feel the impacts of the medical workforce crunch as they rearrange their care in the wake of the pandemic, leading to an even bigger supply-demand mismatch and the access issues that come with it.

What they’re saying: It’s “not only a problem that’s been sort of hidden, but it’s also causing significant sources of pain and frustration with people who really need these services,” John Gerzema, CEO of The Harris Poll, told Axios.

“This isn’t your typical consumer good. This is people’s health,” he said.
By the numbers: More than 2,000 adults were polled Feb. 10–15 and 45% said they’d had trouble scheduling appointments. More than one in three said their doctor was operating on reduced hours.

A quarter of respondents said they’d had treatments or surgeries delayed and one in five said their doctor had stopped practicing.

13% said their health care facilities were closing completely.”

  15. This is what is commonly called a political hit job.

“Police bodycam video raises new questions about DUI arrest of Allen West’s wife

Video shows Angela West did not sway during field sobriety test, took a breathalyzer omitted from police reports. Charges were dropped when no alcohol was found in her blood.”

“Body cam footage shows Dallas police asked Texas GOP chairman Allen West’s wife Angela to move her car with a 3-month old baby inside during a traffic stop last summer, a request experts say directly undercuts the officers’ claims they suspected she was driving drunk.

The video, obtained by Just the News under an open records request, also shows officers administered Angela West a breathalyzer and expressed surprise it did not show her above the legal limit, but then omitted the existence of that test from the official police report they filed before all charges were dropped by prosecutors.”

After reviewing the two hours of footage, former Commissioner of the New York Police Department Bernard Kerik said the video unearthed by Just the News raises troubling questions about whether Angela West’s arrest last August was warranted.

“The whole thing stinks of harassment or abuse of power,” said Kerik, normally an ardent supporter of law enforcement.

When Mrs. West “initially pulled over on the side of the road, the officer told her to go ahead and move her car again,” Kerik said on the “Just the News, Not Noise” TV show Monday night. “If the officer actually thought she had been drinking, and was impaired not to drive her car, she wouldn’t have told her to go around the corner and park somewhere else.”

The video shows the arresting officers asked about Angela West’s weight and physical condition, noted she did not sway during a field sobriety test, and did not give her a Miranda warning before arresting her.

Kerik noted that West “obviously had not been drinking, and from what I saw, other than being nervous, she did fine in the sobriety test.”

Dallas Police Department officials are defending the arrest, even though all charges were dismissed, saying the officers did not mention the breathalyzer test in their reports because Mrs. West did not initially perform it correctly and a blood test was subsequently administered.”

Ah, yes. Time to transition to clean energy! Can someone inform these people of the natural resource they need in order to charge their electric cars?”

This is just virtue signaling from Joe at this point.

And the Russians will now sell those barrels to the Chinese, and at today’s inflated prices, will not lose a dime. They’ll probably make a larger profit at this point.

    Foreign policy is hard.
