Prayer Requests 1-26-22

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 6

A psalm of David.

Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
    or discipline me in your wrath.
Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint;
    heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
My soul is in deep anguish.
    How long, Lord, how long?

Turn, Lord, and deliver me;
    save me because of your unfailing love.
Among the dead no one proclaims your name.
    Who praises you from the grave?

I am worn out from my groaning.

   All night long I flood my bed with weeping
    and drench my couch with tears.
My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
    they fail because of all my foes.

Away from me, all you who do evil,
    for the Lord has heard my weeping.
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
    the Lord accepts my prayer.
10 All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;
    they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

  1. Prayer for oldest daughter. She is under a lot of stress. Not only is she the bread winner for the family, her husband is still down with covid and betweeen work and child care, she is hopping. Work now demands the vaccine, though they just promoted her. And she has a mole on her face that the doc wants removed within the month. Prayer that she would turn her eyes on Jesus and let Him carry the burden.

  2. Praise that we heard from the facility and her packet has successfully passed through admin and has been sent to a couple of their houses that have openings to see if the house people think she would be a good fit. Prayer for wisdom for all and patience. Daughter is currently on best behavior because she does not want to go to a facility. Other days she is on worst behavior for same reason.

  3. Praising God for two births in the last two days: one came a month early but healthy; the other is the first live birth after three miscarriages–also healthy.

    It’s so good to rejoice in new life, isn’t it?
