Prayer Requests 10-6-21

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 60

You have rejected us, God, and burst upon us;
    you have been angry—now restore us!
You have shaken the land and torn it open;
    mend its fractures, for it is quaking.
You have shown your people desperate times;
    you have given us wine that makes us stagger.
But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner
    to be unfurled against the bow.

Save us and help us with your right hand,
    that those you love may be delivered.
God has spoken from his sanctuary:
    “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
    and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
    Ephraim is my helmet,
    Judah is my scepter.
Moab is my washbasin,
    on Edom I toss my sandal;
    over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

Who will bring me to the fortified city?
    Who will lead me to Edom?
10 Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us
    and no longer go out with our armies?
11 Give us aid against the enemy,
    for human help is worthless.
12 With God we will gain the victory,
    and he will trample down our enemies.

  1. Prayer for husband as he is already worn out with daughter and her negativity after just a day. To get her placed in a facility, which the workers, the doctors, the lawyers, the deputies, the social workers, all say needs to be done, we need a physical (check) and a psych eval. To get the psych eval, her doc needs to contact her psych (who changes every couple of months) and request it. Somebody is dropping the ball. And it is wearing husband out.

  2. Good day, everyone. I would like to request prayers on a few different fronts.

    First, for the family of a childhood family friend. Please pray for Kevin and his three children at the unexpected death of his wife / their mom this week.

    Second, prayers for two of my piano families with covid in their households. The moms in both households tested positive and are recovering. One of those families had about half of their household contract covid this past winter, now some (or all?) of the ones who didn’t get it then have contracted a variant — at least the mom and my 3-year-old student, and possibly the baby, who was a newborn when the first round hit their house.

    Three-year-old is recovered and out of quarantine now, thankfully.

    Third, prayers for 2nd Arrow and SIL, as well as our precious granddaughters, born and unborn. 2nd is due later this month but is expected to deliver earlier than that. Birthing center has strict covid protocols and will not let any more than one person attend the birth besides staff. SIL is in face-to-face contact with many people, due to his position as manager of a U-Haul store, and covid cases in our state have been fairly high lately. Pray that they’ll all remain healthy as the time of baby’s birth approaches, and that SIL will be able to attend the birth.

    Thank you.
