Prayer Requests 10-2-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 57

Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me,
    for in you I take refuge.
   I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
    until the disaster has passed.

I cry out to God Most High,
    to God, who vindicates me.
He sends from heaven and saves me,
    rebuking those who hotly pursue me—
    God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.

I am in the midst of lions;
    I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
   men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
    whose tongues are sharp swords.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
    let your glory be over all the earth.

They spread a net for my feet—
    I was bowed down in distress.
   They dug a pit in my path—
    but they have fallen into it themselves.

My heart, O God, is steadfast,
    my heart is steadfast;
    I will sing and make music.
Awake, my soul!
    Awake, harp and lyre!
    I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
    I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
    your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
    let your glory be over all the earth.

  1. Praise: I believe I located the blood pressure problem. My hip was hurting so I took ibuprofen, forgetting that that spikes the bp. Still, working on improving eating and exercise.

    One wants to be healthy for the time God has one here.

  2. My neck is still stiff and sore, but it is much better than it was two days ago. So I am on the mend, but it may still take a while to get full and comfortable movement. I’m just glad and relieved that the worst of it is over. Thank you for your prayers.

  3. Thought I posted this, but I guess I didn’t hit “post comment.”

    It’s a prayer from The Valley of Vision I saw posted earlier, thought I’d share it here:

    You have brought me to the valley of vision,

    where I live in the depths but see you in the heights;

    hemmed in by mountains of sin I behold your glory.

    Let me learn by paradox

    that the way down is the way up,

    that to be low is to be high,

    that the broken heart is the healed heart,

    that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit,

    that the repenting soul is the victorious soul,

    that to have nothing is to possess all,

    that to bear the cross is to wear the crown,

    that to give is to receive,

    that the valley is the place of vision.

    Lord, in the daytime, stars can be seen from the deepest wells,

    and the deeper the wells, the brighter your stars shine;

    Let me find your light in my darkness,

    your life in my death,

    your joy in my sorrow,

    your grace in my sin,

    your riches in my poverty,

    your glory in my valley.

  4. My stepmom is currently waiting to be seen again in urgent care. Her pain is extreme today. Please pray that they will do some tests because this does not seem like muscle strain. She also has a three hour wait to be seen.

    Dad is home alone and sister is hoping stepmom will be back home tonight. If not, sister will have to sleep over to take care of Dad.
