Prayer Requests 9-21-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 47

Clap your hands, all you nations;
    shout to God with cries of joy.

For the Lord Most High is awesome,
    the great King over all the earth.
He subdued nations under us,
    peoples under our feet.
He chose our inheritance for us,
    the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.

God has ascended amid shouts of joy,
    the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.
Sing praises to God, sing praises;
    sing praises to our King, sing praises.
For God is the King of all the earth;
    sing to him a psalm of praise.

God reigns over the nations;
    God is seated on his holy throne.
The nobles of the nations assemble
    as the people of the God of Abraham,
   for the kings of the earth belong to God;
    he is greatly exalted.

  1. Praying for rkessler today. Hopefully, the back has improved and all is well.

    Praising as it appears a willing person has stepped up to help with daughter. Daughter definitely burns through the help.

  2. Agreeing in prayer and praise with you, Mumsee.

    Also praising God that your reaction to the vaccine was not severe.

    Prayers for Wesley as it is a time of observation by superiors. May his teaching be seen in the best light and favor. Of course he already did the observation thing once in the summer when doing his teaching demo for the interview process.

  3. For sure we all need prayer and I am thankful to you all for it and all others in my life who pray when I ask and when I don’t.

    I am also thankful today to hear of blessings given to Janice, mumsee and rkessler. Plus, I am especially grateful to the Lord for getting my daughter home safely yesterday from her job. She needed to detour on three routes home and was praying the fourth would get her through the massive flooding all around. Fortunately she was saved from having to try to get to a hotel for the night or worse. She will be working from home today. I pray those closer to the creek in her neighborhood are spared flooding in their homes. The flooding over the roads was in places with no bodies of water nearby.

    I am also thankful that we got quite a bit of rain. The fire danger is down. A farmer we know was quite concerned with getting rain before snow comes, since his well might end up dry otherwise.

  4. So thankful your daughter arrived safely. These flash flood situations are quite dangerous.

    Sorry, Anon music teacher, to hear about your difficult resolution to the situation with student/parents. Sometimes a total cutting of ties is the only feasible thing to do. I hope you will not dwell on the hurts, but continue to turn it all over to God in prayer.

  5. More good news and praise to God. My husband’s brother did not have a heart attack after all. After more tests they found all was well and he is now home.

  6. Glad to hear that, Kathaleena!

    Janice, 4:56, thank you. I’m feeling at peace about it, though I wish things could have turned out differently. Such an incredibly chaotic family life the boy endures, from what I know, and I’m sure there are other behind-the-scenes things I don’t know. The studio owner kindly said to me, “His lessons with you were probably the best thing in his life.” She and my husband and I are all in agreement, though, that, due to chronic, unresolved problems with the parents, cutting ties needed to happen. The parents had a chance to come through to resolve one of the two major issues last night, and promised they would, but once again did not.

    So many times, the problem is not with the kids, but with the adults. My husband is seeing the same kind of thing at his workplace. Sad.
