  1. The people running our country are a joke.

They called the Taliban “‘businesslike and professional.'”

    Does this look like either?

    https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20210909-us-says-taliban-businesslike-and-professional-in-afghan-evacuation

“The United States on Thursday praised the Taliban as businesslike and cooperative in facilitating the first evacuation of Americans from Afghanistan since the US military withdrawal.

The departure from Kabul to Doha on a chartered Qatar Airways flight Thursday marked “a positive first step” with the new regime, National Security Council spokesperson Emily Horne said.

“The Taliban have been cooperative in facilitating the departure of American citizens and lawful permanent residents on charter flights from HKIA,” she said in a statement, referring to Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport.

“They have shown flexibility, and they have been businesslike and professional in our dealings with them in this effort.”

“Israeli Study: Having SARS-CoV-2 Once Confers Better Immunity to Delta Variant than Vaccine

Meanwhile, Blue State workers with naturally acquired immunity begin filing lawsuits over draconian vaccine mandates”

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/09/israeli-study-having-sars-cov-2-once-confers-better-immunity-to-delta-variant-than-vaccine/

“In light of Biden’s power-grabbing pandemic proposals, the Legal Insurrection team thought it might be a good idea to look at the protections offered from natural immunity after a coronavirus infection occurs.

A new Israeli study offers intriguing insights into the power of the human body to respond to infection. Data suggest that having SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) confers greater immunity to the Delta variant than the vaccine. I will note that the following information was published in Science, so I am going to assume our Big Tech overlords are not going to tag this as “misinformation.”

The natural immune protection that develops after a SARS-CoV-2 infection offers considerably more of a shield against the Delta variant of the pandemic coronavirus than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to a large Israeli study that some scientists wish came with a “Don’t try this at home” label. The newly released data show people who once had a SARS-CoV-2 infection were much less likely than never-infected, vaccinated people to get Delta, develop symptoms from it, or become hospitalized with serious COVID-19.

…The study, conducted in one of the most highly COVID-19–vaccinated countries in the world, examined medical records of tens of thousands of Israelis, charting their infections, symptoms, and hospitalizations between 1 June and 14 August, when the Delta variant predominated in Israel. It’s the largest real-world observational study so far to compare natural and vaccine-induced immunity to SARS-CoV-2, according to its leaders.

The research impresses Nussenzweig and other scientists who have reviewed a preprint of the results, posted yesterday on medRxiv. “It’s a textbook example of how natural immunity is really better than vaccination,” says Charlotte Thålin, a physician and immunology researcher at Danderyd Hospital and the Karolinska Institute who studies the immune responses to SARS-CoV-2. “To my knowledge, it’s the first time [this] has really been shown in the context of COVID-19.”

Natural immunity confers 10-13 times more protection from the virus and also prevents the development of more serious symptoms.”

“I would like to add one significant epidemiological caveat to this report: Opting for natural immunity instead of a vaccination does pose risk, as there are serious disease outcomes that do depend on personal factors (e.g., weight, age, and underlying health conditions).
However, people should be allowed to make the choice based on their own assessments of risk using information our press obfuscates.

Here is a great table from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that summarizes the risk levels for various age groups in comparison to the young adult cohort that should be highlighted often.”

  7. Biden’s Medical Apartheid

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2021/09/13/bidens_medical_apartheid_146393.html

“Events this weekend showcased the intense bifurcation of America into two separate realities. As our country observed the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, former presidents gathered, sans Donald Trump, in New York for a solemn ceremony — wearing masks even though they are fully vaccinated and were outside. In Shanksville, Pa., George W. Bush leveraged the occasion to take a not-very-veiled shot at the MAGA movement, comparing its most fervent adherents to the 9/11 terrorists.

Meanwhile, at stadiums across America, massive crowds of rowdy, unmasked college football fans tailgated, packed into stadiums, and also recalled the grim events of 2001, but in far more boisterous displays of patriotism.

This same-day divergence highlights the sharply divided nation of 2021. That chasm will now only widen as Joe Biden targets many of those same people, the ones unwilling to live under the thumb of onerous government virus mitigation restrictions. These ineffective mandates may nominally emanate from science, but they moreover stem from a preference for coercion and control by Democrat politicians, all with the assistance of powerful business interests, including Big Tech and Big Pharma.

For a glimpse into just how starkly Biden purposefully divides America with his unprecedented vaccine policy, it’s important first to lay out two unmistakable truths of the current situation regarding the coronavirus:

The vaccines prove quite effective at mollifying the effects of the disease upon the vulnerable, but were massively oversold as “all-clear,” silver bullet elixirs.
Given that vaccinated people can still spread the virus, there is no moral obligation for anyone to be pressured into the jab. Especially for those of us who place a premium on personal freedom, it is quite literally no one else’s business.
Once these realities are acknowledged, a clear-eyed analysis of the Biden mandate reveals that his monarchical command flows not from a concern over public health, but rather to compel pain and compliance from targeted populations of Americans. In fact, even former Surgeon General Jerome Adams, who has been consistently pro-vaccine and very friendly to the virus policies of Anthony Fauci and Biden, observed that the president’s mandate speech was “delivered to leave you feeling angry if vaccinated, and ashamed if unvaccinated. It was a war speech, but the enemy wasn’t the virus — it was your neighbor.”

Consider that many American workers now face termination if they make their own medical decision to pass on the vaccine. But the millions of unemployed Americans on government assistance? They face no such imperative. How is such a dichotomy equal treatment under law? Why should the employed be penalized? Outside of the glaring ethical imbalance of this scenario, it also makes zero economic sense, as it will surely persuade a substantial number of reluctant laborers to drop out, worsening an already troubling trend of sagging workforce participation.

But even outside of this dynamic, consider some of the other groups of people prioritized by Joe Biden, groups not subject to his tyrannical edicts. Let’s start with Afghan migrants. As I have documented previously, inviting a mass migration from a country where 39% of the population believes that suicide bombing is justifiable (per Pew Research) represents a terrible idea. But in addition to security concerns and cultural compatibility issues, these migrants are subject to no vaccine requirements at all. So, U.S. citizen-laborers must accept a shot they may not want or need so that they can then toil to pay taxes to transport these migrants from across the world, and to house them in our country, where the newcomers face no medical mandates at all.

A similar allowance for personal choice extends to the vast numbers of illegal migrants crossing our southern border since Biden assumed office. We are on track for a staggering 2 million uninvited entries this year at current pace and, per Axios, 30% of the illegal migrants in custody have refused the vaccine. In what rational world does that distinction make any sense?

So, the lesson here is clear. When Joe Biden scolded Americans, declaring that “our patience is wearing thin,” he was emphatically not speaking to prioritized groups. He was not sermonizing to the jobless, to those on public assistance, to the airlifted Afghans, or to the millions of illegal aliens he incentivizes to enter our homeland. But Biden was speaking, harshly and directly, to the millions of hard-working everyday Americans who have made a rational personal decision to forgo a brand-new vaccine.”

  8. The Disposable Children of the Pandemic

    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/09/the_disposable_children_of_the_pandemic.html

“The rhetoric about and treatment of children over the past 18 months has flung open a window into the soul of America’s ruling class. As Nelson Mandela warned us, “There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way it treats its children.” To those constructing the new health tyranny, children post no threat and can be treated as things, not people.

The budding tyranny we face was best described by C. S. Lewis:

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

One of the first things learned about the Chinese Coronavirus in the spring of 2020 was that the younger population was at extremely low risk of either being hospitalized or succumbing to the virus. A published study from Stanford University revealed that the Infection Fatality Rate (the percentage of people who have been infected by a disease and die as a direct or indirect result) for the 0-19 age group is 0.0027% or less than 3 out of 100,000. The typical IFR for the annual flu for this same age group is 2 out of 100,000.

Yet, the ruling elites, manipulating the populace by striking unfounded fear throughout all of society, demanded that schools shut down and children be masked and forced to stay indoors. Thus we, as a society, deprived the youngest citizens — who constitute nearly one third of the U.S. population — of educational, emotional, and social development.

As a result, the prevalence of obesity increased from 36% of the youth population to 46%. Suicides and attempted suicides among the young dramatically increased. There has been a 334% spike in intentional self-harm claims among 13-18-year-olds. Overdoses among the young has also increased by 119% as a percentage of all medical claims.

This nation has sacrificed our youths’ lives and future livelihoods in a desperate, incoherent and flawed attempt to theoretically save the lives of 90% of the population who are under the age of 70 and experience an average covid-19 infection survival rate of 99.8%.

Nonetheless, children are still being mandated to wear masks at school, an inane practice which has been definitively shown to cause considerably more physical and emotional harm than good. Further, there is now an incessant drumbeat within government and political circles to mandate the Covid-19 vaccine for all children. Per Dr. Fauci: “I believe mandating vaccines for children to appear in school is a good idea.” And he expects the FDA to quickly approve their use in children.

So uncertain of the potential side-effects of the Covid-19 vaccine in children are the British Government that it has decided not to vaccinate, except in very limited circumstances, those under the age of 18. Stating that the health benefits of universal vaccination don’t outweigh the risks for young people. A recent study in the U.K. revealed that teenage boys are six time more likely to suffer heart problems from the vaccine than being hospitalized with covid-19.

In Israel a major consortium of doctors issued a letter calling on the government to not mandate the vaccine for the young:

“…the increasingly prevalent opinion within the scientific community is that the vaccine cannot lead to herd immunity, therefore there is currently no ‘altruistic’ justification for vaccinating children to protect at-risk populations. We believe that not even a handful of children should be endangered through mass vaccination against a disease that is not a danger to them. Furthermore, it cannot be ruled out that the vaccine will have long-term adverse effects that have yet been discovered at this time, including on growth, reproductive system or fertility.” [Italics added]

In the winter of 2019-20, China unleashed Covid-19 on the world. The political/ruling establishment in the United States wanted to be seen as soundly defeating it. Some scientists, particularly in the government-pharma-public health alliance, told these ruling elites that they knew how it could be done within the context of their political maneuvering. Except they didn’t know how it could be done, as lockdowns, masking and distancing didn’t work as advertised. So this same cabal, in particular the teachers’ unions, played politics with children’s lives.

And now it has been acknowledged that the vaccines do not prevent the spread of Covid-19 and have potential serious side effects for the youth. But that has not stopped the incessant drumbeat of mandating the vaccine for ALL age groups in the United States.

Thus, devoid of any morality, they have created a wall of children to cower behind. This immorality is the end-product of indifference to children stemming from nearly 50 years of unfettered abortions, which have taken 62 million lives and created a vulgar callousness toward the humanity of a young life. Thus, far too many view America’s children as mere pawns to be indoctrinated in Marxist inspired ideology and as disposable foot soldiers in the transformation of the United States.

A question for the American ruling elites and the federal medical bureaucracy so determined to further destroy the future lives and livelihoods of America’s youth on the altar of politics. “

“The Media’s Shameless Shielding of Joe Biden”

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2021/09/13/the_medias_shameless_shielding_of_joe_biden__146390.html

“In 2019, I wrote a book called “The Media Matrix” and subtitled it pessimistically, “What If Everything You Know Is Fake?”

Now, two years later, we can remove the question mark. Everything you know is fake — if you depend on the mainstream media to educate you.

Everywhere you turn, you will encounter coverup, corruption and confusion in the media. If it isn’t an intentional disinformation campaign, then it’s the result of laziness and stupidity. Either way, the fourth estate has become a fifth column of provocateurs and saboteurs.

Examples abound. Two weeks ago, for instance, I wrote about how the supine media had to bear some responsibility for the disgraceful withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan. Reporters had the facts weeks before the Aug. 31 deadline, and they refused to pursue them, presumably out of concern that hard questioning would make the Biden administration look bad.

It got me thinking. Just how much does the media’s explicit bias against conservatives skew the public conversation on which the entire success of democracy depends?

The current disaster in Afghanistan remains a good place to start. Much mainstream reporting has covered up for Biden’s policy failures, paying little attention to the Americans left behind in the country or minimizing the risk to them. News outlets have also made a conscious choice to turn away from the fallen heroes who died in Kabul and the suffering of their grieving families.

Take the case of Shana Chappell. She is the Gold Star mother of Marine Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui, who died in the suicide bombing at the Kabul airport. After meeting Biden during the dignified transfer of her son’s remains at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, Chappell took to Facebook to write this:

“I got to have words face to face with that POS Biden! He’s a coward! My son Kareems body will be returned to norco [Calif.] in 7-10 days so i can lay him to rest! The day after i lay him to rest i will be leaving from Norco in my Blue Toyota Tundra to head to the White House. I will be going to the White House to demand that the traitor POS Biden resign and take his whole corrupt admin with him!”

The idea of a Gold Star mother confronting a president about the needless death of her son would seem to be news. We know it is news because back in 2005, Cindy Sheehan had the media spotlight cast on her when she became an outspoken critic of the Iraq War and the presidency of George W. Bush. Sheehan told reporters: “I want to ask the president, ‘Why did you kill my son? What did my son die for?’” In response to her attempt to shame a Republican president, the national media turned her into a celebrity.

By comparison, Chappell was barely noticed by the mainstream media when she accused Biden of killing her son. Her social media accounts were temporarily blocked, and if you watch CNN or MSNBC you would hardly even know she existed. Other than from conservative media outlets, there has been no interest in her plan to demand Biden’s resignation.

Nor, for that matter, did the Gold Star fathers receive any better treatment. What a difference five years makes! Remember how Gold Star father Khizr Khan was lionized by the press as a result of his appearance at the 2016 Democratic convention? His Muslim son had died fighting for the United States in Iraq in 2004, and Khan criticized then-candidate Donald Trump for his views on halting immigration from Islam-dominated countries that harbor terrorists. Mind you, this was just a political dispute. Trump had nothing to do with the death of Khan’s son, but the media seized on the proud father’s grief as a weapon to be used to stop Trump from reaching the White House.

How different was the treatment of Gold Star fathers Darin Hoover and Mark Schmitz, who accused Biden of disrespecting their sons during the ceremony at Dover Air Base by checking his watch every time a flag-draped coffin was removed from the hold of the Air Force C-17 Globemaster.

“They would release the salute and he looked down at his watch on every last one,” Hoover told Sean Hannity. “All 13, he looked down at his watch.”

Schmitz called it “the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever seen.”

When they and others publicized their claims about Biden’s callous behavior, USA Today decided to do a “fact check” and concluded that the survivors’ story was “partly false” and “misleading” because Biden had only checked his watch after the ceremony was over.

That was a blatant lie, as footage shows him glancing at his watch multiple times during the transfer. So how do you account for a major newspaper doing such a totally misleading “fact check” — short of actual malice towards, if not the Gold Star fathers, then the truth? Equally insulting was the fact that USA Today — after receiving vigorous criticism — changed its fake fact check to “missing context” on the grounds that when Biden wasn’t being disrespectful, he was actually doing a pretty good job of looking like he cared about the dead service members.

Of course, most of the media couldn’t be bothered to cover this incident at all. To do so would raise questions about the character of their beloved president, the healer-in-chief. That would be unacceptable. Let’s face it. To the caretaker media who surround Joe Biden, the president is the equivalent of Harry Potter’s “Lord Voldemort,” with this slight variation: Biden is “He who must not be shamed.””

“An executive of Kroger, one of the largest supermarket chains in the United States, warned grocery prices are about to become even higher this year as inflation sets in.

Inflation is running hotter than previously anticipated, and prices are slated to rise an additional 2 to 3 percent over the second half of 2021, Kroger CFO Gary Millerchip said during a call with reporters.

Kroger will be “passing along higher cost to the customer where it makes sense to do so,” he said on Sept. 10.”

  11. Of course Kroger will “pass along” the higher costs. They are in it to make money. They did not “shut down” during the “pandemic”….they have made lots of money!! Yes they were scrambling to find product to fill their shelves at times…toilet paper, frozen goods, disinfectant items etc.

Profits soared an average of 39% in the first half of the year at supermarket chains and other food retailers, thanks to the pandemic, although front-line workers reaped little or no benefit, a new report shows.

At Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., which has 119 stores in Michigan, profits for the first two quarters were up a staggering 90%, according to the report from the Brookings Institution, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank.

“Study suggests about half of hospitalized COVID patients this year had mild symptoms”

    https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2021/09/13/study-suggests-about-half-of-hospitalized-covid-patients-this-year-had-mild-symptoms-n415577

“An interesting story today at the Atlantic based on a pre-print (not yet peer-reviewed) study of hospital patients with COVID. The story points out that hospitalizations have been considered a reliable metric for tracking the rise and fall of the disease over time.

On the one hand, death counts offer finality, but they’re a lagging signal and don’t account for people who suffered from significant illness but survived. Case counts, on the other hand, depend on which and how many people happen to get tested. Presumably, hospitalization numbers provide a more stable and reliable gauge of the pandemic’s true toll, in terms of severe disease.

The problem with using hospitalizations as a metric is that you don’t really know how sick the patients were. For instance, was the patient intubated or put on oxygen or were they only there for observation. In some cases, they might even have been there for something else and only found out they had mild COVID after being tested upon admittance.

The authors of this new study decided to try to find out what percentage of the hospitalizations were serious cases. The did so by looking at 50,000 COVID-19 patients in VA hospitals across the country. Any patient who required oxygen or had blood oxygen levels below 94 percent was considered a serious case. Any patient who didn’t meet those criteria was considered a mild case.

The study found that from March 2020 through early January 2021—before vaccination was widespread, and before the Delta variant had arrived—the proportion of patients with mild or asymptomatic disease was 36 percent. From mid-January through the end of June 2021, however, that number rose to 48 percent. In other words, the study suggests that roughly half of all the hospitalized patients showing up on COVID-data dashboards in 2021 may have been admitted for another reason entirely, or had only a mild presentation of disease.

This increase was even bigger for vaccinated hospital patients, of whom 57 percent had mild or asymptomatic disease. But unvaccinated patients have also been showing up with less severe symptoms, on average, than earlier in the pandemic: The study found that 45 percent of their cases were mild or asymptomatic since January 21. According to Shira Doron, an infectious-disease physician and hospital epidemiologist at Tufts Medical Center, in Boston, and one of the study’s co-authors, the latter finding may be explained by the fact that unvaccinated patients in the vaccine era tend to be a younger cohort who are less vulnerable to COVID and may be more likely to have been infected in the past.

There are some limitation to this study including that the VA tests every incoming patient for COVID but not every hospital does this. Also the study ended in June or right about as the delta wave was really taking off. So it’s possible the situation has changed a bit recently.

Still, it appears a COVID hospitalization in 2021 wasn’t as likely to be serious as one in 2020. So using it as if it were a consistent metric across the entire pandemic could be pretty misleading.”

And that, as always, is their intent.
