Prayer Requests 7-3-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 125

A song of ascents.

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
    both now and forevermore.

The scepter of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
    their hands to do evil.

Lord, do good to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.
But those who turn to crooked ways
the Lord will banish with the evildoers.

   Peace be on Israel.

  4. Update on my prayer request from last night:

After I sent her a text at work today about Boy’s visit with me (without divulging too much about what he told me, but enough) Nightingale thanked me for speaking with Boy last night. She is going to contact the child psychologist who had assessed him a couple years ago, for another assessment and a referral for some therapy. Please pray that God will provide him a Christian therapist, or at least a wise and insightful one.

One of the things that Boy is sad over, besides still missing his Papa (Hubby) is that X, when he does show up for a visitation at his parents’ house (recently there were three or so weeks in a row when he didn’t), only stays for two hours of the four-hour visit. He didn’t say so, but I think he is taking that personally, which would be a natural feeling. (Nightingale was a bit surprised to learn that Boy still thinks about Hubby.)

Tonight we are going to have pizza and a family game night.

  5. Praying with tears over these requests to our God who knows all the whys and whatfors that we can not fathom. May he bring comfort, healing, and peaceful resolution to the many pressing prayer needs mentioned here and previously. The hurts are so many. Only God can heal a broken heart, but the wait may be long. Love all you Wanderers♡

  6. One thing in particular that I have prayed this morning for Boy is for his heart to be convicted of lying and deceitfulness. And that that conviction will somehow lead him to our Savior.

  7. My dad once told me not to ask a child if he did what you know he did. He said most kids will lie when backed into a corner and it is best not to even tempt them to do so. Just state what you know and get on with it.There may be something to that. I particularly hated being lied to and still do. Yet, it is very tempting to be deceitful even for adults. How often to we catch ourselves making up an excuse in our minds or wanting to fudge a bit here or there?

  8. I am with Kathaleena’s dad on that. And I have been surrounded by liars for years. But, as I was one myself, easy to understand and recognize!

  9. East Coast sister and family arrived safely in the Midwest yesterday. Thank you for the prayers. Their return travel dates are Sunday and Monday next week, it sounds like, so prayers for the journey back are appreciated, too.

Family meetings tomorrow, regarding our aging parents and other matters. Prayers for wisdom requested. Thank you.
