Prayer Requests 5-4-21

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 82

A psalm of Asaph.

God presides in the great assembly;
    he renders judgment among the “gods”:

“How long will you defend the unjust
    and show partiality to the wicked?
Defend the weak and the fatherless;
    uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
Rescue the weak and the needy;
    deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

“The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing.
    They walk about in darkness;
    all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

“I said, ‘You are “gods”;
    you are all sons of the Most High.’
But you will die like mere mortals;
    you will fall like every other ruler.”

Rise up, O God, judge the earth,
    for all the nations are your inheritance.

  2. I have a bunch of discouraging and major things in my life right now I’ll be praying about today. Please pray for enlightenment, determination to follow God’s leading, the ability to hear His voice clearly, and some encouragement. Thanks.

  3. Also, our pastor is undergoing his surgery today. It has been delayed three hours. His wife was just in Seattle for her eye checkup and that is looking better. She will have another cornea transplant n June. She is basically blind and trying to help him through his challenges. Fortunately, we had the corona virus so their two daughters, who are missionaries, have been unable to return to the field and are available to help.

  4. I’m off in a bit for the followup with the orthopedic surgeon. I’m hoping to get another “Sea Biscuit” knee shot but also want to get his take on what’s going on, the knee seems to be swollen again (something of a permanent condition recently, I’m afraid). I’m icing it every night and taking Ibuprofen. He may suggest an MRI which probably wouldn’t be a horrible idea but I also know those tests are extremely expensive, so I’ll need to make sure insurance will kick in for at least a good portion of it.

    Anyway, prayers that this can be addressed simply. I remain resistant to surgery which can be risky to healthy cartilage — but also isn’t very much of a sure thing in these injuries anyhow.

  5. Praying with you all about these things that are so near and dear to you. It’s so comforting to remember that God cares about all of it, big and small, and that every single trouble or trial or sorrow has the capacity to bring each of us closer to Him. I’m so thankful for that.

    And, quickly, just to let you know that C was moved to rehab this afternoon! And we’re now praying his full lung function returns to normal. We are told that could take months.
    Still Trusting Him
    Debra

  6. Wow, what good news, Debra. To hear that he is in rehab instead of ICU, that is a blessing. I think that I just have a cold, but they are saying here that that is one of the way covid presents, so I will be careful.
