  1. Good morning everyone.
We have a new president now. The way I see it on TV, things aren’t going well.
i.e I don’t know what Muslim ban they are talking about. But the TV is saying they are ending “the Muslim ban”.
There is no separation of “church & state” in Islam.
I don’t know what’s going on, but it isn’t good.

  2. Chas, my thought is that the officials believe they are opening it up to moderate Muslims, but it gives inroads to radicals who will try and dominate as history shows over and over. I think there is a real disconnect when they think the Muslims will get rid of the Christian influence and they forget that the radicals hate homosexuals (LGBT and all the other letters) as much as they hate Christians. Thos who don’t learn from or know history are doomed to repeat it.

  3. The ban was never against Muslims, just certain terror sponsoring Muslim countries.

See the difference? The media as usual lies about that repeatedly. Trump never banned Muslims, just travel from certain countries, and it was all residents of those countries, not just the Muslims.

Accuracy matters. Unless you’re a member of the Dem propagandist media.

  4. I see where people in Portland and Seattle are really perturbed by whatever is going on.
Nobody in Charleston and Savannah cares. But in Portland and Seattle, they are really upset.

  5. Good morning. Rough evening with nineteen last night. She told me I was not allowed to talk to her about God. I told her she was mistaken and I will continue to talk about God in my own house, whenever I want to. She wants to end the guardianship. She does not understand that only the judge can end it and if the judge decides to do so, she will make daughter a ward of the state and daughter will have less say in her life.

  6. Morning! The sun is rising this day and there seems to be a pink glow in the sky…it’s beautiful!!
Look at those geese up there…I do hear they are making their way to our area soon. We have them year round but it seems more flock to the area at certain times. It is fun to see them in formation flying over the open areas.
Aj is correct and it does rankle me when I read “Muslim ban”…all coming from the media..sheesh! Twist and turn it every which way to fit one’s narrative in manipulation….like Chas says…we’re in trouble folks…..
Tear down the wall but leave that wall up in DC to protect the government…come on! 😤
Ok…I’ll go over to the politics thread now 🙃

  7. Getting the go around at the pharmacy. Just trying to pick up the med Art has taken for years. He called it in. She said that he didn”t and that he has a 20 day supply (he has none left) but they can go ahead and fill it. Give them 20 minutes. We will see. I have done the go around with this one before. Here I sit in the car. In the cold. I did not wear a coat, just my hoodie since it was suppose to be a quick run.

  8. From what I saw this morning Peter it would appear those “rioters” don’t like Biden…so it wasn’t Trump’s fault?! 😳
Janice can you have the prescription sent to a different pharmacy? I had such difficulties with a pharmacy in the past…their telling me I should have 5 pills left or some such nonsense. I had the script sent to another store’s pharmacy and have had no problems since. Turn the heater on in your car! 😂

  9. I wondered “Who’s Dod?”

It’s Thursday already, at least the week is going by fairly fast for me. I’ve been sleeping at least 9 hours every night, I think sleep is my ‘escape’ sometimes, and right now I’m in an emotional place where it’s needed, I guess.

It’s a writing day today after a long interview yesterday. Another chance to create some propaganda, I suppose.

  10. Janice (8:20), not sure there’s much of a national “Christian influence” in the US culture at this point. I view it more as a (growing) religious void right now, though climate change may be vying for top spot going forward.

Countries most typically collapse from within, they usually don’t need any outside help.

  11. The ban was only against the inhabitants of certain countries, but not all of those countries were primarily Muslim. Saudi Arabians, for example, although Saudi Arabia is known to be dominated by Islamic hardliners, were never denied entry under the executive order, while Venezuelans, who are primarily Catholic, were denied entry. Furthermore, it actually blocked Christian refugees from places like Syria and Iraq – early on after the executive order, World reported that a group of Iraqi Christian refugees temporarily in Germany, who had just been granted entry to the US before the ban, were trapped in Geemany because the ban denied them entry. Their threat of persecution if they returned to their home country had been judged real enough that they were told they could come to the US, but the travel ban against all Iraqis caught them in its net. The ban did not stop Muslims from coming into the US, it stopped refugees from coming, and that a goal openly stated by certain government officials, as World reported extensively on the decreased numbers of Christian refugees that were admitted over the past four years: https://world.wng.org/2019/03/left_behind

  12. I just got word that the previous owner of Art’s business has passed away at age 93. She worked in the business until age 90. She had a long and active life. She was not a sweet old lady. She was not sure she was going to heaven. I once asked my former pastor about a passage she could read in the Bible. He gave me John 1 which I shared with her. She attended church regularily at times so I think she knew God’s word. I have very mixed emotions about everything today.

  13. Nancyjill, I would change pharmacies but hoped this person would not be there for long. I have been there when nicer people were working. And it was a quick rain so it had stopped by the time I got out of the car.

  14. I pray she knew our Lord as Saviour Janice…the not knowing for certain leaves those of us behind feeling unsettled doesn’t it? In His Hands ♥️
We are predicted to get snow Sun thru Tues…we shall see. We still have snow on the ground and it finally is melted mostly off of the roads…moisture is always welcome around here….
Dj I do believe we still have a remnant of honest to goodness journalists out there…you being one. Hang in there…we all need you 😊

  15. I’ve been thinking a lot about my dad lately. He’s been gone for 16 years now (!). He was a good man in the eyes of the world and his family, but not a believer. He did, though, have a nominal belief in God, and Jesus and the Son of God (I think), so I hope that he somehow turned his heart to God as he was dying.

A short while after Dad died, God gave me a peace about it, and ever since, I have avoided – or tried to – wondering about his eternal state. But every now and then, the question does come up in my mind, and it hurts.

(Mom, who has been gone for ten years, had been a believer for a while when my girls were young, but turned away at some point. I suspect that she turned back to God, but I am not 100% sure.)

  17. everything here is so confusing. And I have a new computer so nothing is the same. You have to log on to get on the internet and it just took me over an hour to find where I could go to log on. Not to worry, I bookmarked that page.
I did not want to call my friend with every little thing.
At least I am online now.
    so… good morning, whoops, afternoon

  18. Chas, you sound like you are doing just what i am doing, nothing makes sense. Now I am supposed to go to a government page to set up an account to pay for my new visa. The mere thought fills me with dread.

  19. oh, being productive, I did a load of wash, but….. the line to hang things on is outside the quarantine tape, meaning I cannot go there. They have me in a box.

  20. Finally, got the photo assignment change inked.

Catching up on “The Crown” tonight, Thatcher comes off as something of a snob, though it’s understood there has been some creative license taken in this series.

  21. Wow, I think that I deserve a gold star. Trying to navigate a foreign web site and pay for a visa. Thankful that we have a wonderful staff who sent me detailed directions. It was still difficult. Hopefully I am done with visas. I am above the age requirement for a work permit so have an exemption for that.
I am getting too old to be able to figure out all of these things.
