  1. Looks like we elected a man to the Presidency who didn’t campaign for the job.

Looks like we elected a man who is no longer capable of doing the job.

Iff it comes to that, Trump will leave the White House. But he isn’t going back up the escalator.

I wonder if Joe Biden will continue to get a cut of Hunter Biden’s crime syndicate association with China.

We have reached a critical turning point in America. Looks like we turned the wrong way. At my age (90), it doesn’t matter to me. But I desperately care for my grandkids.
Trump is correct. with Biden as president, Biden will allow China to become the world power.
It was a great ride. But it may be over..

  2. And God is still God. He will not be denied, He will be glorified. And is glorified through the working out of His plan. Yes, I am in early mourning, but the sun still rises and there is work to be done.

Today, we plan to attend the three year old’s funeral. Man knows not his day. But God…

  3. I refuse to despair; God is in control, mere man can do nothing outside of His sovereign will. He works in ways oft times too difficult for us to understanding from our limited point of view.

I’m going to suggest the church will be well shaken and only the truth will set many free. It is long overdue in our country.

What is this light, momentary affliction when we have an eternity in Heaven awaiting us?

In the last few months, I’ve heard teachings on 1 &2 Kings, 1 & 2 Samuel, and all of Luke. Seeing God’s hands in that history, along with Daniel now, has given me a different perspective.

Americans are stiff-necked, hard-hearted people, actively chasing after idols, and false gods. They spurn their Creator. What else can God do to show His glory and our need for a Savior?

Thanks be to God, Jesus set us free from the power of sin and death. We can trust the Holy Spirit, who lives in us, as our guide and comforter. He will give us what we need today and every day into the future. My role is to serve as His hands and feet.

  4. And oh, look, OC agrees with me!

    Utmost Response November 7 #MyUtmostForHisHighest

The November 7 reading deals with our reaction to circumstances.

“The circumstances of a saint’s life are ordained of God. In the life of a saint, there is no such thing as chance.”

Yes. God knows what you are going through.

“The Spirit of God understands. God brings you to places, among people, and into certain conditions to accomplish a definite purpose through the intercession of the Spirit in you.”

We’re continually being drafted into God’s prayer army.

He puts us where He needs us– always, to pray and to intercede for those we encounter.
Because in some cases, if we don’t pray for someone, no one will.

“In this way, God is going to touch the whole world with His saints.”

Many of our circumstances are difficult and we want to be anywhere but where we are. But life is not about us and our comfort.

“I must do the human side of intercessionβ€” utilizing the circumstances in which I find myself and the people who surround me.

“I must keep my conscious life as a sacred place for the Holy Spirit.

“Then as I lift different ones to God through prayer, the Holy Spirit intercedes for them.”
We just pray. He does the rest.

  5. Thank you for that, Michelle — and I refuse to despair, either. I am hoping for a calming phase, however brief, which the nation really needs — and for believers just to take a deep breath and remember who our Lord is; He’s the ruler of the nations, after all.

    Perspective.

Politics and elections can too easily become idols. We are going to live in a divided nation for the time being — it’s not new, and i’m sure many are recalling the days after the 2000 election. It will ebb and flow, but divided we are and likely may stay for the rest of most of our lives. “How, then, shall we live?” is the question for believers.

    Meanwhile,

πŸ™‚ The 2020 election is over — As it stands, there are wins and losses for conservatives. We can (and will have to) live with that, amen? Hopefully we can do it with grace and without malice.

Praying for peace with the outcome — and a grown-up transition as the White House changes hands once again in the course of history. It’s how things roll in the U.S.

  6. I think now, also, of my unbelieving neighbors, especially the one who has been so anxious and upset over this election and the state of things. She’s having to carry her blood pressure checker with her these days, she’s completely upset by this entire situation. Can you imagine not knowing God and understanding that he is sovereign over all of this, even the big messes?

  7. And in non-election news:

😦 Husband is still away teaching, but…

πŸ™‚ My chef friend from camp came up for a sleep over! We watched Hallmark Christmas movies and played Hallmark Christmas Movie Bingo – what a riot! We laughed and laughed and it felt so good to be with my friend again.

πŸ™‚ We had freezing rain in the morning when she was supposed to leave, so we watched a Hallmark murder mystery and put together a puzzle. (and I rebooked my dentist appt) πŸ™‚

  8. I am 90 years old.
    None of this affects me.
    So?
Why should I be so concerned?
I see the country I love breaking up. The results will be disastrous.
The Bidens will likely turn it over to China.
I fear for the nation my grand kids, likely my great-grands, will grow up in.

It was a great run. I am proud to have been a part in it.

  9. How did it happen?
I don’t know exactly. But when the cameras showed a man kneeling instead of standing for the national anthem was a good indicator that the line was crossed.

  10. Skip this post: (except Chas)

    Seriously, skip this post:

Long before that, Chas. When we taught our children they had no value. I am waiting for the electoral vote and the finish of the law action. But then, potentially, we will be lead by the most racist and woman hating man (and his giddy teenager) that we have had in a long time, led by the socialist greens. Prepare to become a vegetarian and rebuild your home. Prepare to have (if you live in a red state) one hundred twenty five thousand a year, new neighbors. That will turn some states blue rather quickly, well before the next election.

Interestingly, daughter was chatting with a friend of hers who voted for Biden. She asked daughter why she voted for Trump. Daughter explained that her key issue was abortion. Friend asked how that was an issue as she is very prolife. Daughter explained about planned parenthood and the racism and woman hating that encompasses. Friend was aghast and exclaimed that she (friend) had voted terribly wrong. Yep. The uniformed masses are being led by social media. The purveyors of which are decidedly racist and anti people.

  11. πŸ™‚ We had our first rain of the season, complete with thunder and some decent downpours

πŸ™‚ It’s cold (for us). I’ll have to get my heater vents cleaned out and ready so I can warm the house up on some of these evenings and mornings

😦 The election is over, but not entirely. Now the after-the-party fights ensue

πŸ™‚ We may get a chance to chill from the ongoing political dramas. For a little while, anyway

    πŸ™‚ Christmas is (almost) here

πŸ™‚ No matter what’s going on in the world or our nation, God is still sovereign
