  1. Bad for America, and it’s 401K’s….

    https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/biden-proposal-overhaul-401k-small-businesses-cut-benefits

“Biden’s plan to overhaul 401(k) tax breaks could force some companies to cut retirement benefits

‘Tens of millions of people’ could lose their plans as a result of the proposed change, one industry expert estimated”

“A frequently overlooked part of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s platform would upend the traditional tax preferences of retirement accounts like 401(k) plans — a change that industry experts warned could force some small companies to cut those benefits.

Biden has vowed to convert the current deductibility of traditional retirement contributions into matching refundable credits for 401(k)s, IRAs and others.

The proposal from the former vice president is intended to level the playing field of tax deferral in traditional retirement accounts, with the intent of boosting saving among low-income earners. But industry experts cautioned that by reducing the benefits that higher earners receive, the Biden campaign may have increased the likelihood of businesses abandoning those retirement benefits altogether.

“If you take the tax deduction away and reduce the tax benefit, without also addressing the nondiscrimination rules, you’ve blown up the bargain,” Brian Graff, the CEO of the American Retirement Association, told FOX Business.”

  2. Re. Frank Luntz’s comments… first of all, the Trump campaign has been focused on all the relevant issues, and they’ve done a great job with emphasizing their very successful track record and future security/prosperity because of the leadership of the “People’s President.”

Secondly, of course they are gong to focus on Hunter/Joe Biden’s corruption. After all, Joe Biden is the most corrupt Vice President in US history, and he’s the most corrupt person to ever run for president.

  3. Roberts the betrayer strikes again.

He’s soooo conservative… that he once again joins the liberals.

“SCOTUS: John Roberts Joins Liberals To Permit PA To Count Non-Postmarked Ballots 3-Days After Election Day

4-4 SCOTUS split leaves PA Supreme Court alteration of election law in place. Another example of how important Amy Coney Barret confirmation is.”

“How important is the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett? I wrote on September 19, 2020, that it was important to fill the Ginsburg vacancy prior to Election Day in order to neutralize the unreliable vote of Chief Justice John Roberts:

Filling the vacancy now is protection against … John Roberts. From Obamacare to the recent religious liberty lockdown cases, the Chief Justice has shown himself to be unreliable and subject to pressure campaigns. Particularly when the 2020 election cases (which there will be) make their way to the Supreme Court, a rogue Roberts could result in a 4-4 deadlock, which means the appeals court decision stands. A 6-3 Supreme Court nullifies Rogue Roberts.

My point was just proven. Roberts joined the three liberals to reject a stay (in two cases, here and here) of a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Order that permits mail-in ballots to be counted if received three days after Election Day — even if the envelope has no postmark. That’s right, even if there is no postmark. Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh would have granted the stay.”

  4. Tychicus: As I’ve said elsewhere, Bidens’ indeed are crooks. But investigating them now just seems like a political move. We (Trump) needs to win fair and square. Then bring down the hammier. They need jail time.

“Post’s exposé on Hunter Biden soars online despite social media censorship”

“Twitter and Facebook’s censorship of The Post’s exposé about Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine propelled the story to the top of those platforms last week, according to a report Tuesday.

The story generated 2.59 million interactions (likes, comments and shares) on Facebook and Twitter — more than double the next-biggest story about President Trump or former Vice President Joe Biden, Axios reported, citing data analyzed by NewsWhip.

Stories about Hunter Biden, the reactions and how social media responded were five of the 10 biggest stories.

It was the sixth-most-engaged article for the month — behind Trump testing positive for the coronavirus and rocker Eddie Van Halen’s death.

Facebook accounted for 83 percent of the interactions, with the remaining 17 percent on Twitter, which also suspended The Post’s account.

The reaction of the social media platforms to the story was the second-biggest topic last week, largely driven by criticism that the Silicon Valley giants were meddling in the election by practicing censorship.

The Senate Judiciary Committee was expected to look into issuing subpoenas to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to testify about their companies’ actions, but has now delayed the vote.”

“Biden campaign faces backlash for TV ad depicting Michigan tech CEO as struggling bar owner

The Blind Pig co-owner blamed President Trump, not Democratic Gov. Whitmer, for his bar’s economic downturn”

“The Biden team is under fire for releasing a TV campaign ad last week depicting a Michigan bar owner struggling to keep his business afloat during the pandemic.

What the ad fails to mention is the man is actually a wealthy tech investor who made contributions to the former vice president’s campaign. He also supported Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s stay-at-home orders that kept businesses shuttered longer.

The ad, which was posted to YouTube on Thursday and aired Sunday on CBS during NFL games, features Joe Malcoun, who is listed as the “co-owner” of The Blind Pig, a once-popular bar and music venue in Ann Arbor, Mich. Malcoun blamed his business’ economic downturn on President Trump’s COVID-19 response.

“For 50 years, The Blind Pig has been open and crowded – but right now it’s an empty room,” he says in the one-minute ad, showing the empty venue. “This is the reality of Trump’s COVID response.”

“We don’t know how much longer we can survive not having any revenue. A lot of restaurants, bars that have been mainstays for years will not make it through this. This is Donald Trump’s economy,” he continued. “There’s no plan, you don’t know how to move forward. It makes me so angry. My only hope for my family and this business and my community is that Joe Biden wins this election. That’s the kind of person we need.”

Talk to your Gov you clowns, she did this to our states economy. Whitmer shut down the bars, not Trump.

“Left Proposes “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to Target Trump Supporters if Biden Wins

“It would erase Trump’s lies, comfort those who have been harmed by his hatefulness, and name every official, politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.”

“Members of the professional left are now proposing a ‘truth and reconciliation commission’ to shame Trump supporters if Joe Biden wins.

These would be the same people who have spent four years calling Trump an authoritarian, a dictator, a fascist, a cult leader, and worse. Those same people are now proposing Orwellian forms of public shaming for having the ‘wrong’ views.

  8. Apparently, Trump tweeted (or re-tweeted) a claim that Osama Bin Laden was not really killed, but that his killing was faked by the Obama admin. If that were true, wouldn’t the real Bin Laden have let the world know that he is still alive? The guy who actually killed him is not happy with Trump’s tweet/re-tweet.

    ___________________

Retired US Navy Adm. William McRaven, the former head of US Special Operations Command, said Tuesday that the Osama bin Laden conspiracy theory that President Donald Trump boosted on Twitter last week was as crazy as denying the moon landing.

Last Tuesday, Trump retweeted a post from a since-suspended account that was spreading a baseless QAnon conspiracy theory that bin Laden is still alive and that former President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden staged his killing and possibly had SEAL Team 6 killed to cover it up. …

… “I didn’t even think it was worth addressing because it was so crazy. It was a little bit like denying the moon landing,” he said, characterizing the conspiracy theory Trump retweeted as far “off in left field.”

McRaven said that he was pleased to see that Robert O’Neill, a former Navy SEAL and member of SEAL Team 6 who is thought to have shot bin Laden, spoke out against the conspiracy theory, making it clear that not only did the US military get bin Laden but that the men who went on the mission risked their lives to do so. …

  10. Oh, a week old and now it’s news?

They’re really getting desperate for material.

And note he retweeted something the group promoted, he didn’t say he agreed with this Bin laden theory they have.

You may now resume your “guilt by association” trial….

    From DJ’s link,

“”I know nothing about it — that was a retweet, that was an opinion of somebody,” Trump said. “I’ll put it out there, people can decide for themselves, I don’t take a position.”

People retweet stuff they don’t agree with all the time, for a variety of reasons. Once again, Trump throws out some chum, and here come the usual bottom feeders.

Oh but this will get that wascally wabbit for sure…. 🙄

They’re not even trying anymore. Just mailin’ it in.

“FBI in possession of Hunter Biden’s purported laptop, sources say

The FBI and Justice Department concur with DNI Ratcliffe that the laptop is not part of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

“The FBI is in possession of the laptop purportedly belonging to Hunter Biden which contained emails revealing his foreign business dealings, including contacts in Ukraine and China, two senior administration officials told Fox News Tuesday.

The FBI declined to confirm or deny the existence of an investigation into the laptop or the emails, as is standard practice.

Further, Fox News has learned that the FBI and Justice Department officials concur with an assessment from Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe that the laptop is not part of a Russian disinformation campaign targeting Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Ratcliffe, on Monday, said that Hunter Biden’s laptop and the emails on it “is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” despite claims from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

“Let me be clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that,” Ratcliffe said. “And we have shared no intelligence with Adam Schiff, or any member of Congress.”

Ratcliffe went on to say that it is “simply not true.”

“If you thought it wasn’t possible for Schiff to have any less credibility, DOJ just proved you wrong,” a senior intelligence official told Fox News.”

  15. One of the arguments I have seen is that the provenance of the laptop is suspicious. It just happened to land in the hands of a very conservative, pro-Trump computer guy, and there are ways of faking a lot of stuff.

Now, don’t yell at me. I’m not dismissing it out of hand, but merely pointing out what some have said, and that they do have a point. Even so, it may turn out to all be completely true. That would make Hunter Biden incredibly stupid (to leave a laptop with that stuff on it and not reclaim it) as well as whatever else he may be.

  18. In all fairness, there’s simply a problem there.

No politician is perfect, many are far from it; we should never defend a politician “no matter what” in every and all cases — there’s a time to take a step back and understand that human nature is fallen and no public figure should be defended to the death, just because he’s “ours.”

One side isn’t all evil and the other side isn’t all goodness and light.

  19. Trump is known to tweet off the wall comments from time to time. It’s not one of his most endearing qualities.

Getting free of the globalism is messy. Some people will prefer the “new world order” to the mess of the process. We’ll see.
