I doubt, but could be convinced that the riots in those cities is spontaneous.
However, the commotion that occurred after Trump’s speech had to be organized. Someone is behind this.
The honest Democrats need to get behind this and clean it up.
Loyal opposition is good and necessary. This commotion will kill the Democratic party. No decent person wants it.
😦 People need to actually read articles instead of sharing memes that are misleading. One going around says 39 children were rescued from a double wide trailer in Georgia. If you read the articles (from several sources) it is not children all from one double wide trailer, but many different situations. This lack of reading does not bode well for an education electorate.
😊 we made it to 45 years of marriage…we had a few doubters
😊 we received some much needed rain yesterday! And a promise of a bit more today
😊 the temps are only supposed to reach 70 today!!
😢 the turmoil in the world especially in our own backyard…
❤️ Praying our Lord to extend mercy to us amidst the confusion and open the eyes, give listening hearts and ears to the lost….wake us up oh Lord…..
🙂 Shuffling down memory lane today. After months of seeing the horrific bookcase behind me on all these Zoom calls, I decided to reorganize. I had planned to wait until I painted but, I can’t stand the mess anymore.
🙂 Ah, but what was on that bottom shelf? Notebooks and envelopes stuffed with my early writings–all the way back to high school. Oh, no! Now what?
🙂 I think we’re going to bring the $%679309&*Y%#W printer upstairs–the one that has the batch scanning capacity, and feed in all this writing and then, at least, I can throw away the paper!
😦 Which then leaves three boxes of genealogy notebooks. Same thing. Goodbye paper! Hello space!
Any guesses on how many movies I’ll view going through all this? 🙂 Or days? weeks? LOL
The photos, meanwhile, are still everywhere downstairs. They need to be scanned in, too.
I’m taking off a month from writing projects–and maybe even social media?
I still have maybe 5 trash bags full of old papers that need to be shredded in the garage. And a bunch more piled up that needs to be sorted through in the house office/work space. I really have no excuse, other than working 5 days a week makes me want to chill on the weekends.
Chas, it’s a “movement” now and thus there are many leaders and organizers everywhere, like there were in the ’60s. Demonstrations are no doubt planned and coordinated — but as with any mass gathering, they can quickly pull in others of good or ill repute and the ‘event’ then takes on a direction and life of its own that quickly becomes unpredictable (and uncontrollable).
NancyJill – I have been praying for a new, true great awakening for our country, and for the world.
Michelle – I am still stuck back in the 20th century. My thought about you scanning the papers and then getting rid of them is . . .what if there is a catastrophe that knocks out power or the internet or whatever on a permanent basis? I know there are sites where you can back-up and store your info, but what if those are attacked or go down some way?
I know that is all probably highly unlikely, but maybe possible? And I suppose that if that kind of catastrophe did happen, losing your earlier writings would be the least of your problems.
There have been several friends who have posted on Facebook something like,”My phone died and I lost my contacts. PM with your number.” And I would think, “Why didn’t you have them written down?!”
It’s backed up in several places, Kizzie, but your thoughts have crossed my mind. 🙂
It’s a question of decluttering and what do I really need to keep. If I haven’t looked at those papers in 30 years, do I really need to keep them?
I’ve unearthed some gems of letters and articles I wrote in the past and am going to send them on to the people involved. I found the travel letters from our four-week camping trip to Alaska, for example, and will share them with the kids. It’s that sort of stuff.
The pile of unpublished manuscripts— I’ll go through them one more time and then deal.
And anything with my parents or grandparents’ signatures is a keeper, of course. 🙂
