Prayer Requests 8-5-20

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 6

A psalm of David.

Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
    or discipline me in your wrath.
Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint;
    heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
My soul is in deep anguish.
    How long, Lord, how long?

Turn, Lord, and deliver me;
    save me because of your unfailing love.
Among the dead no one proclaims your name.
    Who praises you from the grave?

I am worn out from my groaning.

   All night long I flood my bed with weeping
    and drench my couch with tears.
My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
    they fail because of all my foes.

Away from me, all you who do evil,
    for the Lord has heard my weeping.
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
    the Lord accepts my prayer.
10 All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;
    they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

  1. Medical procedure went fine; I’ll know in a couple days, for sure, that there’s nothing really wrong with me. 🙂

    No word on the other prayer requests from yesterday other than my uncle apparently can go home now. No word on whether they’ll let him on the golf course, but since one of the tees is right beside his mobile home, I’m sure he’ll be out there soon.

    Laurie is still alive so the meds must be working.

    Meanwhile, the grandpuppy is keeping us on our toes. 🙂

  2. Amazing. My friend Judi just texted a photo of her 92-year-old mom whom we assumed was dying. Jean is mowing the lawn. “First of two tests came back positive for Lyme’s. They put her on an antibiotic.”

    So thankful. And so interesting that in these days of COVID and skepticism about the elderly’s lives, docs overlooked Lyme’s. Thanks for praying.
