Prayer Requests 6-26-20

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 123

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to you,
to you who sit enthroned in heaven.
As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
till he shows us his mercy.

Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us,
for we have endured no end of contempt.
We have endured no end
    of ridicule from the arrogant,
    of contempt from the proud.

  1. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being in charge and over all things. It gives us peace to recognize Your love and goodness at work even in those times that You give discipline or allow things to happen that we would not choose for ourselves. Everything you do falls into the category of good gifts from You.

I lift up those who are traveling home who have been to Karen’s funeral. Please keep them safe from any hindrances along the way. May they not have any hitchhiking virus germs as they return home. May their physical needs of restrooms and foods/drinks be provided for all the way home. May things be found in good order at their homes.

I lift up those who are sad about Karen’s passing. Please let Your love fill the space vacated by her physical presence. Help her family as they process all the big and small details of change at the same time they feel almost unbearable grief. I pray each one will be respectful of how Karen would want them to carry on in life with Your help and guidance. May this be a well utilized time of thoroughly processing grief.

Please help 6 Arrows and her family as they help Karen’s family in various ways. Please grant thoughtful and patient consideration before words are spoken to be comforting. Especially help with what is said to the children who are more vulnerable to mis- understanding nuances of words. I lift any unsaved that they would at this tme feel drawn to believe in Jesus and His salvation. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen

  2. Please pray for my friend Linda as her back is hurting after our long walk yesterday. She is planning on driving home tomorrow and is resting today.

  3. Pray for Carol who remains in the hospital (and will be there for “a while,” the doctor indicated, she said). Her potassium levels were low but the doctor there told her also they were going to do something of a whole “tune-up” on her, so today they gave her an abdominal cat scan.

She was very sick yesterday but today feels better. Still, she’s in a room with 5 other patients so it’s noisy. I texted her brother last night, I’m hoping he’ll be able to connect with the doctor to get information.

Meanwhile, pray for her comfort and that they can provide some treatments that may make things easier for her going forward; and also for protection against COVID during her stay there.

  4. Still waiting to see if Flyboy’s co-worker, Tanner, has Covid. Tanner was tested Wednesday and they said it usually takes about a day, but as of late Friday afternoon they still didn’t have results for him. Everything feels on hold until we know if Flyboy was exposed, and possibly we too.

So far Flyboy is feeling fine, and went to work this evening (he works 10-hour shifts Friday through Monday nights). Tanner gets better each day but still not well.

  5. Thank you for your prayer, Janice.

    Thank you to all praying.

Prayers for all above, and for Michelle’s friend who lost both her father and her husband this week. For you, too, Michelle, as you grieve the loss.
