Prayer Requests 4-3-20

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 60

You have rejected us, God, and burst upon us;
    you have been angry—now restore us!
You have shaken the land and torn it open;
    mend its fractures, for it is quaking.
You have shown your people desperate times;
    you have given us wine that makes us stagger.
But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner
    to be unfurled against the bow.

Save us and help us with your right hand,
    that those you love may be delivered.
God has spoken from his sanctuary:
    “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
    and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
    Ephraim is my helmet,
    Judah is my scepter.
Moab is my washbasin,
    on Edom I toss my sandal;
    over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

Who will bring me to the fortified city?
    Who will lead me to Edom?
10 Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us
    and no longer go out with our armies?
11 Give us aid against the enemy,
    for human help is worthless.
12 With God we will gain the victory,
    and he will trample down our enemies.

  1. Please pray for me to have edifying, clear, concise speech this morning as I have requested a meeting with the dept manager to clear the air. Lots of miscommunication coming from her office. We all need to be on the same page and support one another.

  2. Continued prayer for daughter in law, who is devastated at the loss of her mare. She has been slowly working toward her dream of horse breeding and training and this mare has been a cornerstone for her. May she lean on the True Cornerstone.

  3. I am not sure that I posted how thankful we are to the Lord for my SIL being able to get home from Alaska. There were canceled flights and some delays. Even he was getting quite worried and he is not one to worry. There’s no place like home, especially when you have been gone for months.

  4. I am not sure what is going on. I just had a “sinking spell” where I felt like I had low blood sugar. I ate a piece of cheese and am now drinking a cup of hot tea with lemon and honey.
    Please pray I haven’t gotten this stuff. If Mr. P gets it he will be worse off than me.

  5. Thank you, again, for all your prayers. We seem to be close to fully, if not fully recovered now.
    Praying for you, Kim, and for the requests of the last few days.

  6. Meeting went OK. She asked why she hadn’t heard about issue before. I asked if she wanted me in her office complaining every day. When circumstances change then other things may change. I think she heard and understood my concerns. I will count it as successful. Thank you for the prayers.

  7. You are welcome and thank you for allowing us to know what you needed prayer for so we could participate in a wondrous thing. Imagine me, a mere creature, allowed by the Holy God to bring some of your concerns before His throne through the blood of His Son. Who would have thought?

  8. Silly and strange request, but please pray that Heidi will be able to poop soon. She seems to be having trouble pooping something out. She is too nervous to let me look at her butt, so if that is still needed later, Nightingale will have to help me with that. But it would be great for all of us if she could finally poop it out soon.

    Poor doggie looks like she’s not feeling well, and maybe a bit uncomfortable.

  9. Nightingale and I took a look at Heidi’s butt. It doesn’t look like anything is stuck or whatnot, so maybe she is merely constipated. Even so, please pray that she will be able to relieve herself soon.

    This request is for Heidi but also for me, as I will be nervous about it until it resolves. It has been a difficult week in some ways, so with Nightingale having this weekend off, it would be nice to be able to relax and not worry about my doggie.

  10. I have been listening to a Kay Arthur Bible conference since 7 p.m. My phone keeps cutting off about half the time or more. I think it is a good conference except I am only getting half of it.

  11. Kizzie, I have no idea whether this is helpful advice, but for Misten, running around tended to give her a need to go. I’d first noticed it at the dog park–the first couple months we went, she apparently didn’t feel it proper to poop in public or something, so she wouldn’t go at the park, but as soon as we got home she’d go at least once. I actually learned to time it so that we’d leave when she needed to go but before she did (so I wouldn’t need to pick up after her there). But eventually one time she did go at the park, and after that she went at least twice, and sometimes three times, on each visit, like the running was getting her system really working. (We’d only go for an hour at a time.)

    Once when it seemed she should have gone, but hadn’t, I decided to encourage her to run, and that did the trick.
