Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 41
A psalm of David.
1 Blessed are those who have regard for the weak;
the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.
2 The Lord protects and preserves them—
they are counted among the blessed in the land—
he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.
3 The Lord sustains them on their sickbed
and restores them from their bed of illness.
4 I said, “Have mercy on me, Lord;
heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
5 My enemies say of me in malice,
“When will he die and his name perish?”
6 When one of them comes to see me,
he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander;
then he goes out and spreads it around.
7 All my enemies whisper together against me;
they imagine the worst for me, saying,
8 “A vile disease has afflicted him;
he will never get up from the place where he lies.”
9 Even my close friend,
someone I trusted,
one who shared my bread,
has turned against me.
10 But may you have mercy on me, Lord;
raise me up, that I may repay them.
11 I know that you are pleased with me,
for my enemy does not triumph over me.
12 Because of my integrity you uphold me
and set me in your presence forever.
13 Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Amen and Amen.
Let’s pray for all those people who had to go to work this morning to figure out how to keep their businesses afloat.
Let’s pray for good counsel for all in decision-making roles throughout our society.
Let’s pray that those who know the Lord will behave with love, generosity and quietness.
Let’s pray the God of all comfort will be our guide.
Thank you.

Mumsee’s babies, for health. And peace for that whole family.
Several of my Adorables have the flu. It’s only a matter of time, if not already, before the baby gets sick.

Thanks, Michelle, I was coming on here to ask for that. This baby’s fever has broken and she is just fighting the congestion now. Thirteen year old is getting good air but this is usually the time when he ends up in the ER. We would prefer not to go that route. He is doing his breathing treatments.

My brother-in-law is scheduled to receive a pacemaker today after collapsing the end of last week. My 83-year-old mother-in-law was exposed to the flu last weekend with a great-granddaughter sleeping in her bed with her and then being diagnosed with the flu the next day; she also is not supposed to be driving since she had a cataract surgery on her good eye that so far hasn’t healed well, but my husband’s sister (who would usually be available to help her) is in the hospital with her husband needing the pacemaker, and the local grandchildren aren’t in a good position to visit and help (one pair being the parents of the little girl with the flu, one being our daughter who works in a nursing home and doesn’t need to be taking viruses from one set of old people to another, and one daughter being extremely vulnerable to sicknesses that are going around and the mother of a little girl–she is probably the one most suited to run errands for her grandmother right now, but the least likely of those three grandchildren to think about it on her own because she’s an introvert). Then again, she does have a strong network of friends.
My husband has already had pneumonia (five weeks) and the flu (two weeks so far) this year, and we can’t drive up to help out because of the current health situation. I hope that warmer weather does indeed bring this to a halt (and that it isn’t something that starts up again in a few months) . . . but at this point, so very much is unknown. Anyway, we do have medical needs within my husband’s family.

I think I said a week or two back that all the paths to keeping my team’s jobs here in Ann Arbor were closed. I guess I was wrong – one of them was still under discussion.
Today we got a good-news call from our boss. Our group is being moved under a different organization that is not requiring all its people to be in one place. Our jobs are staying here and we are welcome to keep them.
Anyone know how to make a party hat or fireworks emoji on this blog?
Thank you all so much for praying about this the past few weeks.

Rejoicing with you, Kevin!
And with you, too, Mumsee. May those babies defy all the odds against them to the glory of God!

🎇🎆 I think those are fireworks. Oddly, just as I was selecting them, I heard three bangs that sounded like fireworks, and its broad daylight. I guess boredom has already set in.
