Prayer Requests 12-21-19

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 119:145-160

ק Qoph

145 I call with all my heart; answer me, Lord,
    and I will obey your decrees.
146 I call out to you; save me
    and I will keep your statutes.
147 I rise before dawn and cry for help;
    I have put my hope in your word.
148 My eyes stay open through the watches of the night,
    that I may meditate on your promises.
149 Hear my voice in accordance with your love;
    preserve my life, Lord, according to your laws.
150 Those who devise wicked schemes are near,
    but they are far from your law.
151 Yet you are near, Lord,
    and all your commands are true.
152 Long ago I learned from your statutes
    that you established them to last forever.

ר Resh

153 Look on my suffering and deliver me,
    for I have not forgotten your law.
154 Defend my cause and redeem me;
    preserve my life according to your promise.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked,
    for they do not seek out your decrees.
156 Your compassion, Lord, is great;
    preserve my life according to your laws.
157 Many are the foes who persecute me,
    but I have not turned from your statutes.
158 I look on the faithless with loathing,
    for they do not obey your word.
159 See how I love your precepts;
    preserve my life, Lord, in accordance with your love.
160 All your words are true;
    all your righteous laws are eternal.

  1. Praising God that we caught a raccoon!

    Still need prayer for my leg. It gets better and then I use it too much to make up for lost time. It’s a vicious cycle. Big decision is whether or not to use a cane for church tomorrow.

  2. The grown son of a friend from church was just taken to the hospital having a seizure. A few months ago, he had had a seizure and ended up in a coma for a few days. (I think it was medically induced.) Please pray for Josh and for his mom Jenna (as well as his dad and younger sister). Thank you.

  3. Husband and I will be staying home this morning. He seems to have caught something. Who knows where. And I still have the sore throat. Sounds like the illness Roscuro described, but with me it is lingering. Several of the grands had it after me and were well in a few days. I am still fighting it and passing it around, so staying close to home.
    Prayer for good health soon, so we can get about life. Meanwhile, prayer that our eyes would be on our Source and Strength, not on our maladies.

  4. From Josh’s mom this morning:

    “Please keep praying. Josh is in ICU still. Temp spiked to 104 this time, much better than the 106 last time. Holding at 103.8 for a bit now. Ordering EEG to ensure no seizure activity but he is showing no signs of it so hopefully that confirms. Upped the seizure meds. On Tylenol and a cooling blanket for his temp. On Propofol and a small dose of Fentanyl to keep sedated since intubation. All vitals are good. So pray for his mind and body to calm and rest. For his temperature to come down more quickly than last without issue.
    Prayers of thanks and blessings for the nurses and doctors.”
