Peter’s Pack of Pickled Pigskin Picks 2019-Week 10
And here they are. Not a perfect 10, but ten college football games. Choose your favorite winners and win a chance to boast as well as pick the next tie breaker. AJ won last week, so he picked it this week. Get your guesses in by Friday @8PM EDT.
1. Navy @ UConn
2. Nebraska @ Purdue
3. #8 Georgia @ #6 Florida
4. Army @ Air Force
5. Miami @ Florida State
6. TCU @ Oklahoma State
7. Oregon State @ Arizona
8. #15 SMU @ #24 Memphis
9. Pillow Fight: Akron (0-8) @ Bowling Green (2-6)
10. Tie Breaker (guess the winner and the score): Vanderbilt @ South Carolina
AJ – I sent the Vandy/SC alternate in case you wanted one of the other games. Oh, well. Chas’s favorite team has a chance to win big this week and we get to guess the score for it.
Well, rats, I didn’t pay attention and missed the deadline. I’m disqualified from an actual win, but lets see how I do anyway. (I haven’t peeked at whatever game’s in progress now.)
Navy
Nebraska
Florida
Air Force
Florida State
Oklahoma State
Arizona
SMU
Bowling Green
South Carolina 28-24
Tell you what, Kevin, since the Navy game is the only one going now, we’ll let you choose it, since everyone else chose Navy, and it has a very high chance of winning.
We have a tie in the tie breaker game. SC won 24-7. I had the score as SC 24-10, Janice had the score as 21-7, so both of us were off by 3 points. It doesn’t matter, though, as she got more games correct than anyone else. Therefore, (you like the fancy verbiage?), Janice is the winner.
Our results:
Janice 7
Chas and AJ 6
I had 5
Kevin 4
Mumsee 3.
Three? Wait….three? That is not as many as little brother. Or big brother. Or Chas or the real. Or Janice. Hmmm.
Congratulations, Janice! You have a good eye for this.
Peter, one of us isn’t seeing the results right. I have:
Janice and Peter 6 (and tied on the tie breaker) (I’m happy to see Janice declared winner)
Chas, AJ, and Kevin 5
Mumsee 4
If I’m reading the scores right, the winners were:
Navy
Purdue
Georgia
Air Force
Miami
Oklahoma St
Oregon State
Memphis
Bowling Green
South Carolina
You are correct, Kevin. But since Janice was declared the winner, it stands. I’ll just put a game in with my Master’s degree alma mater to make up for it.
First off…. I’d like to thank the academy, my peers, and of course you, my fans…..
Wait…. wrong speech…… 🙂

I was going to chose ARMY/AF, but you already had it.
I was surprised too. Last I looked, I figured I was losing badly yet again. 🙂

Thanks, Peter. I guess since I picked Navy it wouldn’t have affected the overall outcome either way, Sister’s objections notwithstanding.

Purdue beat Nebraska. Good game between two evenly matched teams.

I think the scores would have come out the way you listed if TCU had beaten Oklahoma State.
