Psalm 70
1 Hasten, O God, to save me;
come quickly, Lord, to help me.
2 May those who want to take my life
be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin
be turned back in disgrace.
3 May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!”
turn back because of their shame.
4 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who long for your saving help always say,
“The Lord is great!”
5 But as for me, I am poor and needy;
come quickly to me, O God.
You are my help and my deliverer;
Lord, do not delay.

Meeting went well. Nice people, seemed legitimately interested in being involved. The pastor of that church stayed for most of it. They even went to the baby shower with us and then came home with us to see the place. Hopefully, the child will be well loved.

I’m glad to hear that, Mumsee, and that they are also believers.
This is a story I’ve probably told before, but I remember something my high school home ec teacher said one day. She said that she was less worried about her daughter having a baby out of wedlock than of her sons fathering a child out of wedlock. She figured that if her daughter had a baby, she (the teacher) would be involved in the child’s life. But there was no guarantee of being involved in the life of a child one of her sons might father, as the mother could decide to cut them out of the baby’s life.
