Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 53
1 The fool says in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
there is no one who does good.
2 God looks down from heaven
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.
3 Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.
4 Do all these evildoers know nothing?
They devour my people as though eating bread;
they never call on God.
5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
where there was nothing to dread.
God scattered the bones of those who attacked you;
you put them to shame, for God despised them.
6 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When God restores his people,
let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
I’ve been asked by a young woman to respond to her questions about sex, gender, and a few other related subjects, sigh. Pray for wisdom that I will only share God’s truth and not information from the world which may not be helpful for her. I’ve been sitting on this one because I’m uncertain. Thanks.

Let God talk, He will. That is what the Spirit does. Praying that you will rest in Him and let His Words flow. And that her ears will hear and the spiritual eyes of her heart will be opened to Him.

I mentioned this may turn into a years long placement. Though that sounds very relieving for us, it is actually very sad. We have hopes of getting daughter set into an adult routine, once all of her paperwork is done and people are hired. I think she would like it and as it would keep her busy and entertained, it would be a win win. I don’t know what her life will be like if she is in a long term facility, surrounded by people like her and cared for with a high turnover of low paid care givers. Praying for peace as the previously prayed for wisdom is applied.

Michele, there are helpful articles and resources on LCMS.org under “Social Issues.”

Apparently, daughter is too unique and her issues do not fit the mold. Yesterday, there were five potential placements in the Boise area, today, one is left and they are leaning against taking her. Same situation as up here and north. Praise in many ways, yet prayer needed as I brace for resuming the challenges. They still may take her.

Lots of people with developmental delays, people with autism, people with low IQ, people with emotional disturbance, people with mental illness, people with psychotic moments. But not so many with all of them.

So sad that she is one excessively tortured soul, Mumsee. Prayers.

Thanks, all. I wrote a lengthy email in response to all the issues and I pray the Lord will use it to His glory. This young person has the gift of evangelism and needs to be protected. I also sent a copy of my spiritual memoir so the individual can see some of us don’t have ours acts completely together–and never did!
It’s all about grace, grace, grace and the power of Jesus’ forgiveness.
Thanks be to God.

Nobody will take her. Husband is on his way home as he has several meetings, most involving her issues, to deal with here. He will go back Thursday to bring her home if they still have found nothing.

But she got exactly what she wanted. All day tv, a watcher with her twenty four hours a day, as much to eat as she wants. So she will be going back and probably not long from now. We can provide the all day video (though she does not enjoy it and declines usually), and the all you can eat (though it has made no difference as she finds something else to demand if we give it to her) but we cannot or do not provide twenty four hour listening to her and that is what she really wants.

Oh, Mumsee, I’m so sorry.

Tomorrow is the second anniversary of Hubby’s death, or as Boy refers to the date, “Papa’s death day”.
It also happens to be X’s birthday. Weird, huh? Although. . . I do not believe in coincidences in God’s economy, so I wonder why He allowed these two important observances to be on the same date.
Anyway, Boy says he doesn’t want to go to school tomorrow, because he will be sad. Please pray that he will be cooperative in the morning, and that somehow God will minister to his heart. Thanks.

They found a place! Short term, acute care. She was transported this evening so should be all settled in, since she did not take anything with her. And they probably would not let her keep it anyway. So that gives us a few days to try to get her plan together. A very long process that should be about done.
Pray for her, that the docs would have good ideas that will actually help her this time. That she would be truthful on how she feels as they adjust the meds. And that we can get things moved along here.
