  1. I really love that composition on today’s header. ♡

I hope everyone is off to a good start for today. Yesterday I spent the morning at church Bible study and then went back around 4:30 for more church activities until around 7:30. It was all good.

  2. I am working from home.
There is a War of the Wills going on here today. Papa has decided to teach “please” and “thank you” and Little Miss thinks she can point, whine, and say “Pappy” (that would be a pacifier for the uneducated among you). I did get her to say “pappy pee” and convince Papa she was saying please.

  3. I am working from home today, too. I have an hourlong phone training (recorded) on preventing discrimination and harassment that all of the employees have to take (we have to finish it before the end of this week) so I figured this morning would be a good time to knock that out. I hope it’s just a listening thing and I don’t have to do anything requiring responses or any kind of active participation.

I was awake for about 90 minutes (around 2-3 a.m.) last night — I had to let Cowboy out and after that he was pacing again, the sound of clicking nails going in and out of the bedroom, into the living room, then back again, over and over. He finally settled down on one of the dog beds in the living room but I didn’t get back to sleep until then.

And since I didn’t go to bed until almost midnight, I could have used some more sleep this morning.

  4. I’m not working from home today. Kinda hard for a high school teacher to do so.

AJ- Did I forget to send the PPPPP last night? I thought I did. We’re having issues with our Outlook so I’m using other email methods. I’ll send it again just in case.

  5. Peter, maybe there will come a day when you can also just “call it in.” You can teach via live stream.

How’s the supply of bonbons holding out, mumsee?

  6. It has taken a pretty good hit. Daughter is back. Other daughter is busy taping her belly so baby can get into position. I have no idea how women did it before. And son has been out digging out the septic tank lid for the septic tank guy. Son started yesterday. Finally, husband and I went out as son was not seeming to make any progress. It is open, guy is pumping. He did ask if he would be finding baby wipes like last time, five years ago. No, but I still have a daughter who believes paper napkins and paper towels go down there. So we keep those items put away for the most part. And daughter who is actually marginally in touch with reality is sick with the cold son had two weeks ago. And so the bonbon supply is quickly depleted.

  7. Mumsee, you would be amazed at some of the things Son-The-Plumber finds in clogged toilets.

And Peter’s comment reminded me the time his brother and I were both working from home and he advised, “tell your boss you’re working from home and fix your own pipes.”

  8. This is funny that that picture is up. I sent it to Aj after the post was posted. This is the one I have for my screen shot right now.
One of the gals that was going on our flight to Goroka next week was medevaced yesterday. I have no idea why, but we are praying..

  9. Jo, I don’t know how far those birds were from the photographer, but I really wish the photo were zoomed in on that family of five in the middle! Sometimes you just can’t crop a photo any closer because it won’t be sharp any more, but I’d love to see that scene better.

  10. Because daughter is ill, she is not gathering the eggs. So husband gathered them for her but without talking to her. He did not realize she had a hen setting on a nest He had to candle a whole lot of eggs.

  11. Annie dropped a live lizard on me one day while I was home sick and lying on my bed. Quick recovery, I moved real fast.

And once I spotted her with a live mouse on the patio heading for the doggie door which I managed to plug up before she came in. But I didn’t catch her other times when she let live rodents go inside the house. Lovely.

  12. Came in from the dog walk to hear/see our councilman on Shannon Bream on Fox News (I’d left the TV on). I think that’s the second time he’s been on her show. He’s on the move for higher office.

We avoided the coyote block tonight. Not that they’re not lurking everywhere but I figured since I’d seen a coyote twice in the same spot on that one block it might be a bit of a hot spot.
