Thanx everyone. I do take a medicine at night. After about an hour, I do settle down and sleep all night. I can only take it once a day.
LindaS says we are going to the Dr. today. I haven’t heard anything yet.
Good morning! We have a hacking cough here also. It was accompanied by a sore throat, but that seems to have passed. Hope you get some resolution, Chas.
Morning! Praying for you Chas in hopes once you get to the doctor that he/she will diagnose quickly with the medicine to help.
There seems to be much coughing and hacking happening in this region as well. Most will explain that is is allergies. My walking buddy is having a terrible time and I fear it will go into bronchitis or pneumonia. The pollens are quite horrid right now and it is just about now we all are saying “all we need is a good freeze overnight to knock this pollen count down”! 🥶 It was 95 in the Springs yesterday 🥵
Good morning. Today is the day. That the Lord has made. It is also the day that daughter turns eighteen. We now have two minors living here and four adults. Hard to believe we are down to two children. Thirteen and soon to be twelve. Time keeps on marching along.
We are supposed to have peanut butter cake today, but that might not happen. One, daughter is still in the hospital. Two, if I need to go get her, it is ten hours of driving and I won’t be wanting to make a peanut butter cake upon my return.
Happy Monday everyone. I have a 10 a.m. phone interview (giving me an easy story I can write tomorrow as it will be a complicated day with having to take the Jeep in for service, leaving me maybe stranded a bit). I have another story I’m doing today that also should be fairly easy.
For Chickadee’s birthday in June, Nightingale made a fantastic “Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup” Cake, with a rich chocolate cake and peanut butter frosting. Oh my, was that delicious!
One of my daughters has made a Peanut Butter Cake in the past, I’m pretty sure.
Mumsee – Although your currently hospitalized daughter is legally an adult, do you feel that she is still more of a child? Do you think she will always be that way?
Yeah, Chas has seen a doctor and gotten some help. May your recovery be swift.
Blessings on your day.
Joan was to be picked up at 5:30 this morning to fly to stay with friends at the Chrisian Leadership and Training College. This is where her language helper can come to visit with her. He is like a son to her and this is probably the last time they will see each other.
Yep, just listen to us and we shall fix ya right up Chas 😂 So blessed to know you have been seen and are well on your way to recovery!! (With our continued prayers!)
Our day began with a trip to Art’s endocrinologist. He is to do some lab work to determine if he needs parathyroid surgery. I know this is pretty awful to share, but he has to keep all his urine for 24 hours in the refrigerator before taking it to the lab to see how much calcium is expelled. Everytime I think we broken the record for procedures, etc.there is a new one. Karen told me she has already had three of her four parathyroid glands removed for this reason. It is odd how we continue to have so many similarities.
Janice, certainly no worse than having to “store” dog poop in the refrigerator for testing when you can’t immediately get to the vet. Although I confess I’ve never been able to bring myself to do that. I tell them they’ll just have to get it some other way, and they do. I ask no questions …
Sure hope Art doesn’t have to have surgery, though. 😦 You guys have really had quite a year.
Oh the Aussies in that video!! The true definition of “wiggle butt” 😂
Janice we are praying for Art’s tests in hopes that all is well and surgery will not be needed. I have been wondering about the wandering cane too! And how are your eyes after your most recent doctor visit…are you experiencing improvement…that is a continued matter of prayer as well.
Your mentioning of urine in the fridge brought back a memory of when a girl came in the pregnancy with her urine specimen…we always emphasized to them they must bring it in a well sealed clean container…she brought her sample in a relish jar…yep…she didn’t clean it out first 😳 poor thing…
Philadelphia?
Good morning everyone buy Jo.
Good evening Jo.
I’ hacking and coughing now. But I slept all night.

Yes. Hence, the guardianship. But, it is still somewhat freeing.

Funny how we all say “the doctor gave me” a prescription. Those are expensive gifts for the recipient.

Got home from the pregnancy center to find the dogs had another rattler cornered in their pen. It is now in the multi pot with the potatoes and beets.
