Prayer Requests 6-8-19

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 119:41-48

ו Waw

41 May your unfailing love come to me, Lord,
    your salvation, according to your promise;
42 then I can answer anyone who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.
43 Never take your word of truth from my mouth,
for I have put my hope in your laws.
44 I will always obey your law,
    for ever and ever.
45 I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts.
46 I will speak of your statutes before kings
and will not be put to shame,
47 for I delight in your commands
    because I love them.
48 I reach out for your commands, which I love,
that I may meditate on your decrees.

  1. Nice to have no pressing prayer concerns, just praises. God is amazing,

But, if you are missing it, feel free to pray for us. Seventeen is off with husband at the youth challenge orientation. He actually came home last night But his girlfriend went with them to the orientation. Maybe she will sign up to go. Pray not. Though they do a good job at keeping them separate so it might actually be a good thing.

  2. Please pray for my husband. He is stressed about the special event he is in charge of tomorrow at work for the Chiefs Convention (chiefs/heads of all the conservation officer services and fish & game services across Canada). He is good at most things, but not the details. There are lots of details for tomorrow. Weather is also not looking good for extended lake travel, so he’s looking at plan B. Thanks.

    I can’t believe I didn’t ask for prayer sooner.

  3. Prayers all around, Mumsee and Kare.

I’ll offer praises to God on a couple of family-related fronts. First, praises that God granted smooth sailing for our first week of school. We’re taking a different approach this year, but things are off to a good start, despite a busy week. I had a dentist appointment Thursday morning, so was gone for a couple hours. Then we took more time than I’d planned at my parents’ house for the first of our weekly visits, and were gone for six hours. Then Friday I was gone to a business meeting for nine hours, including travel time. But we still managed to get all of our school subjects covered this week, finishing up the last little bit of it tonight. Nobody crashed and burned. 😉 And doing nature study at 10:00 last night, a beautifully clear night to observe the moon and stars and draw them in our nature notebooks, and then come in to read the last five Psalms — Praise the Lord! — was an awesome way to end the day.

The other praise is that 4th Arrow’s job has now gone full time! She turned 18 last month, and is finishing up her independent study work (teacher-led and group school are all done for her) around her work hours. She estimates she’ll be done with all her high school studies by the end of this month, and she’s doing good work at Culver’s. She just started there last September, about 20 hours a week, and her hours have steadily increased these last nine months, all the way up to FT. We’re praising God for how she’s balancing work and school.

  4. Nightingale is going to put her name in for a permanent schedule that is opening up as the LPN who currently has it is leaving soon. It would be four days a week on first shift, which would be great for all of us. But she is doubting she will get it, as others are interested, too.

Please pray that if this is God’s will for her/us, she will indeed get that schedule. Thank you.
