  1. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when the globalists and Dems shut up, get out of the way, and let the president use the tools at his disposal to address this. Despite their whining to the contrary, it worked.

    They’ve been Trumped. Again.

  2. So he gets demoted, reprimanded, and reassigned for his questionable and possibly criminal acts, yet his deep state handlers managed to slip him a 28k bonus for “handling” their spy?

    Nope. No deep state here.

And again, it’s Judicial Watch who pries out the details they keep trying to hide from public view.

“Bruce Ohr, the Justice Department official whose connection to the opposition research firm responsible for the anti-Trump “dossier” led to his eventual demotion, was awarded a $28,000 performance bonus while the Russia probe was ongoing, according to newly released DOJ documents.

The records do not indicate why Ohr was given the bonus in November 2016, though they show he also received a $14,520 bonus a year earlier, totaling $42,520 over a two-year period.”

“The conservative group Judicial Watch, known for suing for public records, released the documents related to Ohr’s salary Friday, saying they obtained them from the Justice Department through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Ohr’s actions during that time have been of interest to investigators, as it’s believed Ohr was the back channel between Trump dossier author Christopher Steele and the FBI. It was also revealed that his wife, Nellie Ohr, conducted opposition research on Trump for the firm Fusion GPS – the same company that commissioned the dossier – raising conflict of interest questions.

Judicial Watch is questioning why Ohr, who was later demoted at DOJ, was given a bonus.

“These documents will raise questions as to whether the conflicted Bruce Ohr, who the FBI used to launder information from Christopher Steele was rewarded for his role in the illicit targeting of President Trump,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement.

  3. As I said yesterday, while mostly ignored by the MSM, this info has been out there, it’s just been ignored except by right leaning sources.

“Since she was first elected to public office in November 2016, Ilhan Omar has rarely avoided the opportunity to talk for public consumption. We happened upon an exception to the rule back in 2016 during Omar’s 2016 campaign for the Minnesota legislature when we learned of Omar’s marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. At the time she held out Ahmed Hirsi as her husband on her campaign site and elsewhere. We found that Omar had legally married Elmi in 2009 and wondered if he was her brother. Omar remained married to him from 2009 to 2017. Although Omar has three children with Hirsi, Omar never did marry him until last year.

When I asked Omar about all this by email in August 2016, she declined to respond in substance and implied that the question reflected bigotry on my part. “There are people who do not want an East African, Muslim woman elected to office and who will follow Donald Trump’s playbook to prevent it,” her campaign told me through a criminal lawyer. “Ilhan Omar’s campaign sees your superfluous contentions as one more in a series of attempts to discredit her candidacy.”

As the story blew up in the local media, Omar treated it as a public relations crisis. She brought in Democratic operative Democratic operative Ben Goldfarb to do the talking on her behalf. The campaign issued a statement that went back to the royal flush of bigotry accusations, decrying the “Trump-style misogyny, racism, anti-immigration rhetoric and Islamophobic division” allegedly motivating questions about her marital status. Omar herself refused then and since to answer questions about her marital history or even who Elmi is if not her brother.

Omar’s election to the Minnesota legislature made her an intergalactic superstar. It was Time for Ilhan, according to the documentary made about that race. Filmmaker Norah Shapiro was on to something. By the time the film was released, it was time for Ilhan to move on to Congress. She hasn’t shut up since.

When Omar refuses to talk, it’s unlike her. Her silence reflects an insoluble problem. This week she’s not talking. She’s not talking about the unlawful joint tax returns she filed with Hirsi…while married to Elmi.

This week it was revealed that Omar filed joint tax returns with Hirsi in 2014 and 2015. Today Star Tribune reporters Patrick Condon and Patrick Coolican get around to the story in “Rep. Ilhan Omar jointly filed tax returns prior to legal marriage.” Coolican covered the marriage story in 2016. Condon and Coolican reiterate the received version of her marital history according to Omar:”

‘Although she didn’t marry Hirsi until last year, Omar has held Hirsi out as her husband at all times since she became a public figure. Over what period of time did Omar and Hirsi file joint tax returns? My guess is that it runs back to 2002. We know she filed joint tax returns with Hirsi while she was still married to Elmi. In addition to the IRS issues, the questions intersect with those arising from Omar’s marriage to Elmi.

In any event, Omar has woven a tangled web. It is the kind of web we weave when we practice to deceive. I have embedded the findings of the campaign finance board that coincidentally brought the story of her unlawful joint tax returns to light. See pages 5-6 of the findings.

Condon and Coolican relate Omar’s marital history as though we have learned nothing since 2016. They take Omar’s recitation of her marital history at face value. In a series of investigative reports for PJ Media, however, David Steinberg has provided voluminous circumstantial evidence demonstrating the fraudulence of Omar’s story.

Condon and Coolican appear to be unaware of this this installment of Steinberg’s series: “Address Records Show Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Still Lived With Her First Husband Throughout Marriage To Her Apparent Brother.””

  4. Here’s the PJ Media link, with links galore. The media sure does an excellent job of carrying water for Dems, huh? The EWWWWWWW! factor alone would have killed her candidacy, so the press suppressed it.

“Address Records Show Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Still Lived With Her First Husband Throughout Marriage To Her Apparent Brother”

“In recent days, Minnesota state Representative Ilhan Omar (D-60B) has campaigned with Minnesota Attorney General candidate Keith Ellison (D-MN). Omar is the Democratic nominee for the federal House seat, MN CD-5, that Ellison is vacating. She is the assumed favorite to win the seat.

Win or lose, however, a Department of Justice investigation into her past appears inevitable. A remarkable — and growing — amount of evidence implicates her in multiple federal and state felonies.

The allegations stem from Omar’s 2009 marriage to British citizen Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, her apparent brother. Below, exclusive new evidence backs the claim that this marriage was fraudulent. Also, this new evidence suggests that student loan fraud and immigration fraud were Omar’s motivations for marrying Mr. Elmi.

In 2016, shortly after Rep. Omar defeated 44-year incumbent Phyllis Kahn in the Democratic primary for MN House District 60B, someone anonymously posted the initial allegations on the SomaliSpot.com message board. The poster claimed Omar had been granted a Minnesota marriage license in 2009, and subsequently married her brother Ahmed Elmi while she was still Islamically married to Ahmed Hirsi — with whom she had two children at the time.”

“Long-time Minnesota reporter/attorney Scott Johnson investigated the allegations, and surprisingly discovered that they were supported by government records.

Minnesota reporter Preya Samsundar investigated further, uncovering much more supporting evidence.

Pressured by local and national media, Omar soon released a statement. It failed to address much of the evidence. ”

The links included tell quite a tale.

  5. Good question?

    Can you say….. Evidence tampering?

    I knew ya’ could. 🙂

“Dershowitz: Why did Mueller team distort Trump attorney’s voicemail?”

“The controversy over the selective editing of a voicemail message from President Trump’s former attorney in the report by Robert Mueller has added fuel to the arguments against the appointment of special counsels.

The Mueller report says that attorney John Dowd reached out to Robert Kelner, Gen. Michael Flynn’s lawyer, after Flynn withdrew from a joint defense agreement with the Trump legal team and asked Kelner to give him a “heads up.” The report characterized the voicemail message as an attempt by the president’s counsel to obstruct Flynn’s cooperation with the Mueller probe, and that’s also how much of the press reported on it.”

“The edited version released by the special prosecutor omits the following important words: “I’m sympathetic … I understand that you can’t join the joint defense; so that’s one thing. If, on the other hand, we have maybe a national security issue … some issue, we got to — we got to deal with, not only for the President, but for the country … without you having to give up any … confidential information.”

The Department of Justice claims that the full transcript is consistent with the overall incident. Dowd disagrees, pointing out that by “taking out half my words, they changed the tenor and the contents of that conversation with Robert Kelner… Isn’t it ironic that this man who kept indicting and prosecuting people for process crimes committed a false statement in his own report.”

Dowd has accused Mueller of seeking to “smear and damage the reputation of counsel and innocent people.” He stated that the special counsel “never raised or questioned the president’s counsel about these allegations despite numerous opportunities to do so.” Dowd, a highly respected and veteran D.C. lawyer, is rightly upset. When read in full, the transcript shows that he is not trying to obstruct the probe. To the contrary, he is respectful of resigned national security adviser Flynn’s decision to withdraw from the joint defense agreement and does not expect Flynn’s attorney, Kelner, to disclose confidential information. Furthermore, he is not only worried about what Flynn’s cooperation means for his client, the president, but also for the country.

Dowd’s request was not only entirely proper for a president’s counsel to make, but obligatory for any defense attorney properly seeking information necessary to his defense. By editing the transcript to fit their narrative, the Mueller team distorted the facts. If an ordinary lawyer or prosecutor were to provide a quotation in a court submission that omitted words that undercut his argument, he would be subject to discipline.”

Bright, who wrote for Ars Technica and appeared in videos for the company, was charged after he allegedly arranged to molest a 7-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy. He was instead arrested by an undercover FBI agent who he contacted through an online fetish social media platform.

He allegedly sent the agent graphic photos of himself, and also an STD test to prove he would not give the children any diseases. The criminal complaint has graphic descriptions of what Bright told the agent, including his claim that he had been molesting an 11-year-old already.

Bright, who is 38 years old, tweeted under the account “@DrPizza,” where he self-identified as polyamorous, pansexual, and “pervy” in his profile.

He often used the account to tweet vile insults at President Donald Trump, including one accusing the president of having incestuous feelings for his daughter.”

  7. The stupid……. it hurts…… 😪 and there’s so much of it with this child.

“The New York Democrat used a hearing on Tuesday to suggest that Muslims are being treated differently in the U.S., including getting charged with terrorism for criminal acts, while white supremacist attackers avoid being charged with “domestic terrorism” for similar crimes.

Michael McGarrity, the assistant director of the Counterterrorism Division of the FBI, fired back at the freshman Democrat, explaining that the authorities can’t charge people with a “domestic terrorism” charge simply because such a charge does not exist in U.S. laws.

“You’re using the word ‘charge,’ as I said before there’s no domestic terrorism charge like 18 USC § 2339 ABCD for a foreign terrorist organization,” McGarrity explained. “What we do both on the international terrorism side with the homegrown violent extremists and domestic terrorism, we’ll use any tool in the toolkit to arrest them,” McGarrity said.

“You’re not going to find an actual charge of domestic terrorism out there if you look at Title 18–,” he added after repeated questioning by the Democrat.

Ocasio-Cortez went on to point out to the San Bernardino shooting or the Orlando pulse nightclub shooting as the cases where the perpetrators were “charged as domestic terrorist incidents,” a claim that is incorrect.”

  8. It just gets better.

  9. And then it gets worse.

  10. Unbelievable. This is way worse than even I thought, and you all know my thoughts on it all.

They’ve been witch hunting Trump while using real, known criminals to do so, while covering their own criminal deeds.

“However, it’s worth noting that Shearer is one of the most disreputable characters in Washington, and has been frequently connected to the most scandalous acts of the Clintons’ political careers. If Steele passed on information and/or allegations from Shearer to the FBI, and that information was acted on, it raises serious concerns about the impartiality and judgment of Steele and the FBI.

Shearer was last in the news in 2015, when a bombshell ProPublica report on hacked emails from longtime Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal revealed that the longtime Clinton confidant and aide was running a “secret spy network” network feeding Clinton information on, among other things, Benghazi and Libya while she was secretary of State. Recall that Blumenthal is a known liar and rumormonger so disreputable that the Obama White House put their foot down and nixed her attempt Blumenthal at the State Department.

Even John Podesta says Blumenthal is “lost in his own web of conspiracies.” As it happens, Podesta was one of many Democratic officials that recently received a letter from the Senate Judiciary Committee demanding copies of any communications they’ve had with Blumenthal and Shearer, among others.

Along with Blumenthal, the private intelligence network consisted of former CIA agent Tyler Drumheller. Drumheller is another checkered character who was attacked at length for his dishonesty in former CIA director George Tenet’s memoir At the Center of the Storm: My Years at the CIA. While Drumheller was being paid by Clinton for intelligence assessments, he was also a consultant for CBS news where sources say Drumheller used his influence to kill a damning 60 Minutes report on her handling of Benghazi. (For more Drumheller see my report on “ Hillary’s Spymaster” from the October 19, 2015 edition of THE WEEKLY STANDARD.)

The third member of the “secret spy network,” was Cody Shearer. Among other things, the three men were trying to leverage their connections to Hillary Clinton when was secretary of State in order to get a lucrative contract in Libya for Osprey Global Solutions, a government contractor that does everything from intelligence assessments to arms dealing. Emails show that Clinton took the advice and assessments of Blumenthal’s crew seriously. It’s further worth noting that Jonathan Winer was appointed the State Department’s Special Envoy for Libya in September of 2013, after Clinton stepped down as secretary of State and his longtime boss John Kerry took over. However, given his position specifically involved overseeing what was going on in Libya, it’s likely he was apprised of what Blumenthal, Shearer, and Drumheller were up to, years before he helped get Shearer’s anti-Trump opposition research to Steele.

The fact that Shearer was involved in all of this should raise alarm bells, but we’re just scratching the surface of what he’s done over the years. This Slate article from 1999 on Shearer is worth reading for all the gory details, but as Slate puts it, he’s so dodgy “If he didn’t exist, the vast right-wing conspiracy would have invented him.” Shearer is closely tied to the Clintons. His brother was an ambassador during Bill Clinton’s presidency—Derek Shearer went so far as to write a letter to Bill Clinton demanding an ambassadorship as a reward for “working behind-the-scenes with Cody and with Sid Blumenthal to promote your candidacy, to defend you and to attack your enemies.” Cody Shearer’s sister is married to Strobe Talbott, Deputy Secretary of State during the Clinton administration and a friend of Bill Clinton’s since they were at Oxford together.”

  11. Ireland recently did away with its blasphemy law.

Forty years ago Monty Python’s Life of Brian was banned in Ireland as blasphemous. Someone drew this clip to my attention recently:

In the amphitheatre the hopeless revolutionaries are sitting plotting. Stan announces that he wants to be called Loretta.

Judith: Why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?

Stan: I want to have babies.

Reg outraged: You want to have babies?!?!?!

There ensues a discussion about how they would fight for the principle even if it could never be realised. It finishes up with John Cleese’s character Reg saying:

Reg: What’s the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can’t have babies?!

Francis: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.

Reg mutters: Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

I suspect that were it released today The Life of Brian would be banned in 21stcentury Ireland—but for completely different reasons.

We have not gotten rid of blasphemy—we have simply redefined it. When we deny God, we don’t lose the idea of God, we just reinvent ourselves as gods. And therefore anything that offends me is blasphemy. Irish society is kidding itself if it thinks it has removed blasphemy—we have simply swapped it for a much more intolerant and fluid version, one that is defined by society and cultural pressures, where acceptable speech is determined by fear-pressure. …

  12. Another good question….

“Two leading House Republicans sent a letter to House Oversight Committee chairman Elijah Cummings (D., Md.) Friday telling him to hold Michael Cohen accountable for “perjury-laden testimony.”

Reps. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) and Mark Meadows (R., N.C.) called the testimony of President Donald Trump’s former lawyer in February a “made-for-cable-news hearing” meant to damage Trump politically. Cohen, once a loyal fixer for Trump, called him a liar, bigot, and a cheat. He is serving a three-year prison sentence for a variety of financial crimes. He also admitted to making a hush payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels over an affair she claims to have had with Trump in 2006.

“Your entire course of conduct with respect to Michael Cohen has been deeply troubling,” Jordan and Meadows wrote. “You allowed a prominent Democrat operative to use the Committee for an orchestrated partisan attack on the President. You declined to follow up on your promises to hold Cohen accountable for his lies to the Committee.”

One hundred days after Cohen testified, the Trump allies said he had lied under oath, lacked independent evidence to back his accusations of wrongdoing against Trump, and accused Cummings of ignoring Cohen’s incriminating testimony before the House Intelligence Committee.”

  13. And yet the dishonest hacks, at the DoJ, FBI, and Mueller’s office full of partisan Dems continued to waste another 20 million in taxpayer dollars.

  14. That is such a funny clip (4:10). Who knew how prophetic that would be?

Chas, no doubt (3:08). But as the poster i quoted points, out, we have new blasphemy laws, the political kind, that are even harsher than the old. With God taken out of the picture, something else now fills that void in the culture.

“Rapid DNA testing reveals fraudulent family units crossing into U.S.

Former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer praises the Trump Administration’s Operation Double Helix”

“The implementation at the border is already achieving results.

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan said in an interview with Hill.TV that 24 cases of false parental claims had been found at the U.S.-Mexico border in the first few days of DNA testing.

. . . . “One of the things we’re most concerned about is the increasing incidence of adults bringing across children that are not their own. I had a gentlemen in Guatemala last week tell me that everybody knows that bringing a child is a passport for migration right now,” McAleenan said.

McAleenan said that in the first few days of a program to conduct DNA tests the department identified “24 people that were fraudulently claiming to be parents of a child they were crossing with.”

“How many more cases are out there,” the DHS chief added.

McAleenan also noted that in the first 4 weeks his team has also identified 180 cases of false paternal claims under different identification methods, 360 fraudulent documents, and over 300 prosecutions of people purporting to be parents.

The results may be even more impressive if the real numbers are revealed.

In a pilot program, approximately 30% of rapid DNA tests of immigrant adults who were suspected of arriving at the southern border with children who weren’t theirs revealed the adults were not related to the children, an official involved in the system’s temporary rollout who asked to be anonymous in order to speak freely told the Washington Examiner Friday.

. . . . In some incidents where Immigration and Customs Enforcement told the adults they would have to take a cheek swab to verify a relationship with a minor, several admitted the child was not related and did not take the DNA test, which was designed by a U.S. company.

Former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s editorial in the Arizona Capitol Times praised the Trump administration’s foresight and initiative in setting-up Operation Double Helix.

By now, it should be clear that the objections to testing purported family units were utterly disingenuous. Our system affords special treatment to family units, and open-borders advocates have applauded the exploitation of those loopholes as a way of circumventing legal restrictions on immigration.

. . . . Family units, as coyotes and their liberal enablers in the U.S. have learned, are much more difficult for our law enforcement professionals to handle than the single adults who used to make up the vast majority of illegal immigrants. The unprecedented explosion in apprehensions of “family units” – many of them now clearly exposed as fake – has stretched our border security resources to the breaking point.

DNA testing is a simple, unobtrusive, and inexpensive tool that makes it more difficult for criminals to exploit vulnerable children, removing a major incentive for human traffickers. We ought to implement it across the entire border, and do so as quickly as possible. In an area of public policy fraught with controversy and polarization, this should be a rare no-brainer.”

  16. Well it wasn’t news at all to start with, so fake news is what it is. But who cares? The press ran with it anyway.

  17. Yeah…..

This is how fake news spreads among the “journalists” on Twitter.

  18. In SS this morning we were discussing culture changes that are affecting and could destroy our culture. We didn’t mention the corruption of media, except TV briefly and the many new media sources. But the willingness of reputable sources publishing lies is likely a major cause of the fall
in the near past, a newspaper would not publish a lie. You could tell that they gave a slant to the news. But everything they published was believable.

  19. The AOC video is interesting. I watched a different version on a left wing site and a certain point I said to myself, if someone cuts the video here she will look really stupid. And that’s the exact point where AJ’s video.

AOC was trying to make a point that white supremacist violence although treated as a hate crime was not treared as serious as Muslim terrorism because it was designated as terrorism. In the case of homegrown Muslim violence, the FBI looks for organizations and international connections. A white supremacist incident doesnt receive the same broad investigation.

Here’s the longer version of the video which doesn’t make AOC look stupid.

  20. Marriage outside of the Anglo Saxon countries is more complicated. A religious ceremony is not sufficient and one must be married by a govt official. Hence one can possibly be married to two different people.

For example, its possible to obtain a state divorce in Austria and then remarry while still being married to your original spouse according to the Catholic church.

Among immigrant communities this gets even more complicated since you need to register your marriage within the country. When my wife and I were married in Canada we were not recognized as married in Poland. Similarly a Canadian who married in Poland and then separated and moved to Canada did not need a divorce im Canada since he was considered single. My friend later remarried in Canada…..I’m not sure if he ever divorced his Polish wife.

My.point here is simple. Immigration and marriage are a weird combination and sometimes convenience is used. I think Omar’s outrage is little over the top but I can sympathize with here. Its an easy way to pick on recent arrivals whereas old white guys in the old boys club carry on corruption without criticism.

  21. “(It’s) for the children” is our favorite during election season (typically used when a politician is talking about raising everyone’s taxes).

  22. HRW at 2:12,

Nope. Just more fake news from your side. And note it’s also AOC’s allies who are editing.

“CAUGHT! Far-Left group NowThis deliberately edits video to make AOC look less stupid questioning FBI official on domestic terrorism”

Earlier this week, Twitchy shared a video of AOC making a complete fool of herself interviewing an FBI official on domestic terrorism trying DESPERATELY to pretend white supremacy should be included … it was a painful interview and hard to watch even if you knew she was going to make a complete a*s of herself.

Which is probably why NowThis took it upon themselves to edit the video and craft false tweets to help her save face.”

  23. Plenty more unedited House footage below. AOC doesn’t need anyone’s help to look stupid. She does a fine job all on her own, in her own words.

  24. And while that’s all nice and all about marriage elsewhere, it’s not a defense to intentional, repeated, and criminal tax evasion laws once you live here. Neither does a Sharia type deal made in some 3rd world country. It’s also illegal to be married to your brother or sister in the US.

    Not to mention, again, Ewwwwwwwwwww……..

  25. AJ – That reminds me. I once stumbled across a website about “marriage equality” that was not about same-sex marriage, but advocating for brothers and sisters being allowed to marry. It had brother and sister “couples” sharing their stories and insisting that they should be able to legally marry. I didn’t stick around to read much when I realized what it was.
