  1. Prelude to war?

“Prelude to war? Palestinian terrorists fire hundreds of rockets at Israel from and to civilian areas

This is how war started in 2014, with relentless and massive Palestinian rocket fire into Israeli cities and towns, from locations among civilians in Gaza.

Are we on the verge of another Gaza war?

If so, it will start the same way the last one, in 2014, started — with relentless and massive Palestinian rocket fire into Israeli cities and towns, from locations among civilians in Gaza.

As before, the international media and anti-Israel activists will blame Israel, and will invent false claims of war crimes. Pallywood will be in out in full force, with journalists on location in Gaza threatened and in fear of death if they report the truth.

It’s all too predictable, and it’s playing out as we write.

This round ostensibly started when Palestinian snipers shot two Israeli soldiers on the Israeli side of the border, wounding one seriously. Israel immediately struck a nearby Hamas post, killing two terrorists. The deaths of those two were then used as the justification for Hamas and Islamic Jihad firing several hundred rockets.

But that’s not really what’s going on. Hamas and Islamic Jihad believe they can extract concessions from Israel (primarily allowing large transfers of Qatari cash) without risking a full-scale war because Israel is about to host Eurovision. Avi Issacharoff at the Times of Israel explains, Why the Gaza rocket fire? Because Hamas thinks Israel is vulnerable to extortion:”

“Major Report Omission Shows Mueller Was Either Incompetent Or A Political Hack

Not once does Robert Mueller mention an investigation into whether Russia interfered with the presidential election by feeding dossier author Christopher Steele misinformation.”

“Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s March “Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election” contains a glaring omission: Not once in the 448-page tome does Mueller mention an investigation into whether Russia interfered with the U.S. presidential election by feeding dossier author Christopher Steele misinformation.

But Mueller also did not charge Steele with lying to the FBI, or refer a criminal case against Steele to federal prosecutors, as he did when the special counsel uncovered evidence of criminal misconduct unrelated to the 2016 election. Given Mueller’s conclusion that no one connected to the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to interfere with the election, one of those two scenarios must be true—either Russia fed Steele disinformation or Steele lied to the FBI about his Russian sources.

“Bernie Sanders Doesn’t Think Christians Are Fit For Public Office

During a Senate confirmation hearing on Wednesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders tried to impose an unconstitutional religious test, calling Christianity ‘hateful.’

While the nation’s capital was twittering with excitement on Wednesday about former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, something far more outrageous was underway in another Senate hearing: Sen. Bernie Sanders, in a blatant violation of Article VI of the U.S. Constitution, was applying a religious test for an office of public trust.

Specifically, Sanders doesn’t think Christians are fit to serve in government because they’re bigots. Basic Christian theology, in Sanders’s view, “is indefensible, it is hateful, it is Islamophobic, and it is an insult to over a billion Muslims throughout the world.”

Here’s what happened. During a confirmation hearing for Russell Vought, President Trump’s nominee for deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget, Sanders expressed his indignation at an article Vought had written in January 2016 about a controversy that erupted at Vought’s alma mater, Wheaton College. A political science professor, Larycia Hawkins, had published a Facebook post announcing her intention to wear a hijab in solidarity with Muslims and suggesting that Christians and Muslims worship the same God.

Vought, a Christian, took issue with Hawkins’s post and defended Wheaton in an article for The Resurgent. During the hearing Wednesday, Sanders repeatedly quoted one particular passage he described as “Islamophobic” and “hateful.” Vought wrote: “Muslims do not simply have a deficient theology. They do not know God because they have rejected Jesus Christ his Son, and they stand condemned.”

As a matter of theology, there is of course nothing objectionable, much less Islamophobic, about that. It is simply a statement of fact: core Christian doctrine, plainly stated in the Bible, says that eternal life comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. Not that exclusivity is unique to Christianity. By their very nature, most religions are exclusive, especially when it comes to salvation.

As for having a “deficient theology,” one could substitute any other religious group for Muslims: Christians also believe that Jews have a deficient theology, along with Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Zoroastrians, and the tens of thousands of Britons who claim membership in the Temple of the Jedi Order. And of course, members of all these religions likely believe Christians have a deficient theology.

To Sanders, Christian Theology Amounts to Bigotry”

These children did not devise this themselves. They have been taught this. his “Religion of peace” as George Bush called it, has designs on America. We will welcome them, as we do all religions.
But we need to realize that Islam, like Christianity, is not just a “religion”. It is a way of life. And YOU will adhere to it.

They are being invaded by Muslims (along with the rest of Europe) who have a religion.
    It does not tolerate dissention.
Some will say that other religions live peacefully in Islam. They do under the permission, not right, of Islam. They have a tax which the Koran allows non-believers:

Jizya or jizyah (Arabic: جزية‎ jizya IPA: [d͡ʒɪzjæ]) is a per capita yearly tax historically levied on non-Muslim subjects, called the dhimma, permanently residing in Muslim lands governed by Islamic law.
    ‎Rationale · ‎In the Qur’an · ‎In the classical era · ‎History

But when the Mahdi comes (and brings Jesus with him), that will no longer be permitted.
Everyone who isn’t Muslim then will be killed.

  10. Oh, and at last count, we’ve now seen over 600 rockets (nearly 700) fired into Israel by Palestinian terrorists.

And they also launched a cyber attack on Israel at the same time. The Israeli response was the proper one. The Palestinians no longer have a cyber command center.

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2019/05/hamas-launched-a-cyberattack-during-rocket-barrage-so-israel-blew-up-their-cyber-command-center/#more-282256

“Hamas launched a cyberattack during rocket barrage, so Israel blew up their cyber command center

“Hamas no longer has cyber capabilities after our strike””

There appears to be a ceasefire, or at least pause in fighting, in the current Gaza conflict.

Hamas and Iranian-controlled Islamic Jihad launched over 600 rockets killing several Israeli civilians. The rockets were launched mostly from civilian locations in Gaza towards civilian locations in Israel.

Israel retaliated with attacks on terror installations, mostly empty buildings, with the exception of a targeted hit on the Hamas commander who coordinated Iranian funding. Anti-Israel congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib both blamed Israel for the conflict.

There are many recriminations in Israel that Israel did not take more forceful action to topple Hamas and other terror groups. This does appear to fit a pattern whereby Hamas uses rocket fire and other attacks (such as the violent border riots controlled by Hamas) to extract concessions from Israel.

Why would Israel seemingly capitulate to this extortion-by-rocket? I have a strong feeling that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is keeping his eye on the larger ball, which is Iran and Hezbollah in the north, and didn’t want to get bogged down with Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the south.

This view is supported by the announcement that the U.S. is increasing both land- and sea-based military assets in the Persian Gulf region anticipating an Iranian or Iranian-proxy attack on U.S. and allied forces as oil sanctions cripple the Iranian economy. The Gaza conflict, in which the Iranian-controlled Islamic Jihad played a key role, likely was an Iranian diversion to keep Israeli military assets tied down during the bigger conflict to come.

Netanyahu didn’t take the bait. Only time will tell if this was the right decision.”

“Ilhan Omar’s Tweet About Gaza Rockets Draws Heat: ‘How Many Times’ Will She ‘Rush to the Defense of Terrorists?’”

“The dramatic increase of violence in the always-present conflict prompted commentary from all quarters, from the President and National Security Advisor, to members of the House and Senate, and on through journalists, columnists, experts, and every day social media users.

Among those replies, perhaps the most tone deaf was from, Rep. Ilhan Omar, who is opposed to Israel politically, supports the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement, and has come under fire multiple times for anti-Semitism in just the short few months she’s been a freshman congresswoman.

Omar tweeted a rhetorical question, and a condemnation of Israel over their being attacked by Hamas, and it didn’t go well for her.

“How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends?” she wrote. “The status quo of occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable. Only real justice can bring about security and lasting peace.”

The fact that she asked how many “rockets must be fired” caught the attention of a lot of people, and at last review the tweet had about 13,000 replies and just over 9,000 retweets. In the quote-retweet game, she came up pilloried, mostly from those on the right side of the aisle. Including, notably, Rep. Liz Cheney, who in response to Omar’s open question posed her own: “How many times will @IlhanMN rush to the defense of terrorists?””

“The United States Army wanted a spiffy new service uniform, one that would stand out in a tough recruiting environment and polish the Army’s image after a generation of grinding and divisive wars.

So it turned the clock back. Way back.

It chose a new uniform that looks almost exactly like the old green gabardine wool field coat and khaki trousers that officers wore in World War II. Probably not by coincidence, that’s what the Army was wearing the last time the nation celebrated total victory in a major war.

“We went back and asked, when is the most prominent time when the Army’s service to our nation was universally recognized, and the answer came very quickly,” said Daniel A. Dailey, the sergeant major of the Army, the highest-ranking enlisted soldier in the service. “That victory, that impact on the nation, is still felt today by the sons and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters of the ‘Greatest Generation.’””

“Government removes all mention of ‘Sunni’ and ‘Shia’ extremism from terrorism threat report”

“The government has again revised a report that is supposed to update Canadians on the major terrorist threats they face, removing all references to Islamist extremism.

While the report, first released in December, had initially identified attackers “inspired by violent Sunni Islamist ideology” as the main terrorist threat to Canada, that line has now been cut.

All mentions of “Sunni” and “Shia” extremism were also taken out of the annual report, along with section headings on both types of terrorism.

The so-called Islamic State, Al Qaeda and their regional affiliates use terrorism to promote their versions of Sunni Islamist extremist ideology, while Hezbollah is a Shia extremist group.

But Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale told reporters Thursday he wanted the terrorist threat report to use language that “did not impugn or condemn an entire religion.””

And will they also refuse to acknowledge that most of the Muslim victims of terrorism are simply collateral damage from these 2 warring factions? None of this is any less true just because some people choose to ignore the facts for political favor.
