They said the experience, in which Democrats futilely demanded Northam resign over racist photos in his medical school yearbook, was an opportunity for them to learn more about politics.
“There were a lot of life lessons,” said state senator Janet Howell about the chaos that erupted in Virginia politics when Northam’s photo came out and Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax (D.) was accused of sexual assault. The chief “life lesson” she learned was “Don’t rush to judgment.”
Northam shocked political analysts everywhere in February when he refused to resign after it was discovered his medical school yearbook page showed a picture of a pair of people, one in blackface and the other in a Ku Klux Klan robe. Given his name was on the page, it was assumed Northam was one of the shrouded individuals, and he even responded with an apology before reversing himself and declaring he was definitely not in the photo.
Local Democrats and national figures condemned Northam, but after other scandals emerged around the two Democrats next in line to become governor, the whole matter “just went poof,” as a New York Times headline put it, quoting a Virginia librarian. At the leadership breakfast, Democratic politicians said they were sorry they got caught up in the media conflagration without reaching out to the governor.”

“A CNN news anchor and three MSNBC guests spread the false impression on the air that President Donald Trump referred to immigrants as “animals” last week.
The confusion stemmed from an unverified Twitter user identified as Mark Elliott, who tweeted out a short clip of Trump Friday and accused him of referring to asylum seekers by the insulting moniker.
However, the clip was from May 2018, and Trump was responding to a question about the transnational street gang MS-13. Nevertheless, multiple news outlets and politicians ran with the idea he had referred to all immigrants as “animals” last year as well.

That brings us back to the unapologetic and unrepentant left-wing media that have spent more than two years telling the world that Trump was an illegitimate president who stole the election.
The media provided a platform to spew unsubstantiated stories and speculative claims. They allowed radical “entertainers” to influence the public in ways that would produce moral outrage against the president without the media questioning the accuracy of the statements by the “stars.” The media let Clinton and all of her minions off the hook regarding abuse of power, ethical lapses, and destruction of critical evidence, because the media are stooges for the Left.
The left-wing institutions of the academy, media, and entertainment have a symbiotic relationship. They are in a feedback loop that reinforces their biases in such a way that they can’t hear the shouting doubters who questioned those prejudiced and prejudicial institutions regarding President Trump. Their arrogance allowed them to ignore all questions and avoid self-examination of those producing rehashed rumors about the president as indisputable evidence that warranted impeachment and criminal prosecution.
Now that a two-year investigation that was richly funded, supported by 19 prosecutors, 40 FBI agents, 2,800 subpoenas, visits to 13 countries, more than 500 witnesses, and a plethora of interviews indicates clearly that there was no conspiracy between anyone related to the Trump campaign and Russia to influence the 2016 election, the bulk of the media is simply doubling down. Others are embarrassed enough to remain silent.”

“The student loan debt crisis is real and a very serious issue. No one disputes this. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), who now chairs the House Committee on Financial Services, brought it up during a hearing with bank executives this week and made a complete fool of herself.
Apparently, no one has told Waters that banks stopped offering student loan services ten years ago.
