  1. 🙂 After Flyboy got rear-ended last week and it was clear our car would be totalled, the insurance company sent us a few hundred dollars more than the amount I had figured would be fair.

🙂 Some friends offered us a van they’re not using much to use until we get a replacement car.

😦 Now we have to go shopping for the replacement. (I hate shopping for anything…)

😦 Other car needed new tires. More $$$ out the door.

  2. 🙂 Wonderful visit with daughter, SIL and grandson. Had fun playing Scrabble with my grandson and introduced him to Bananagrams, which he and my daughter enjoyed. They were happy to get some skiing in. We enjoyed hearing our grandson play the sax while here. I am glad so many of the grands like music and are learning one instrument or another. My grandson was gifted with an old trumpet and is looking forward to learning that, as well.

😦 I am wondering if our bathroom redo will ever really happen. This is ridiculous, but when you live in an area with limited businesses to give enough competition…

🙂 Off to music jam, pot luck and maybe some dancing.

  3. 🙂 We got to see our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.

🙂 I’ve been out of the house and out for a walk six days in a row.

🙂 One day was simply a walk around the condo with my husband, but one day we explored a state forest and the other days I’ve gone down to the hiking trails.

🙂 It’s definitely spring. We’re even all the way to dandelions.

🙂 I saw my first woodcock, saw a chickadee working on its nest hole, and watched territorial disputes among several species, including the ever-photogenic red-winged blackbird.

🙂 I’ve had fun posting old and new photos onto Flickr.

🙂 The publisher of this week’s editing book increased the price he originally told me he would pay and asked if I could take another book when this one is finished.

    🙂 Did I mention it’s spring? 🙂 🙂 🙂

  4. 🙂 Getting a big project (packing up Hubby’s clothes) finally finished after dragging it out too long.

🙂 The lady who is going to take them for the church’s clothing ministry could now open up her own Big and Tall men’s clothing store if she wanted to. 😀

🙂 The Boy has been enjoying me reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to him. I’m enjoying reading it to him.

  5. 🙂 We had MN Adult Teen Challenge at church today. They have a group that sings together and then a few step up and give their testimony. It was very moving. It also made me remember to pray for a couple of people I know who are fighting this battle. One, Adam, says he has found Jesus. I am praying this is true and I will hear from him or though the grape vine that it is true.

😦 When God says sin is slavery, He is so right!

🙂 God died to free us and gives that to us freely!

  6. More properly: Jesus died to give us freedom when we believe in him. He took our sin on the cross. This was my only peeve with the Abby Johnson movie. When she asks why God could forgive her, her husbands replies “because he is God.” While it is true it cheapens what grace really cost and could confuse people. I think it could have been handled better without getting so deep in the water, so to speak, as to drown.
